Once, when I was a kid, I was playing the level in Star World with the block floor. At the same time Mario got hit, the yoshi grew and dead Mario landed on it and it just stayed for a few seconds then faded back to the Star World.
Does anyone else ALWAYS hold the run button? I hold down the run button for every Mario game! Edit: I'm happy I'm getting replies 5 years later, it shows that people still care about Super Mario World and it's amazing glitches

You can see this almost everywhere. The area fill interior tile is the same as the below-platform tile and has no collision. If you can find something to force you through the floor you can observe this most places.
If your referring the the glitch where you die when Yoshi is eating a wiggler, that happened to me as a kid once and I was afraid to eat wigglers with Yoshi for years because of it.

I'd like to know how Yoshi doesn't end up with massive heartburn from all the things he eats: fire flowers, bullet bills, Blargg, etc. And you'd think that with all the Blarggs and undigested koopa shells he eats that he'd gain weight. How does he stay so lean with a diet like that?! I can imagine my next physical: ME: Doc, I can't lose weight. What should I do? The other night I [somehow] managed to glitch the GBA port. After messing around, I got to the end of the level and a whole chunk of the land behind the tape thing was missing. Needless to say I was absolutely thrilled!
I just performed that same glitch except I missed the ledge but hit the goal. The game translated it as the game was beat however Mario ran out walking space (because he is on the bottom ledge and not the top ledge with the goal) and he fell off and I lost a life 😂😂😂

@Michael Moloney I am working on a smw 96 exits lowest score run, and at the beginning, before you have acces to infinite yoshis (Star World 2), you have to take the secret exit by using that glitch
@Michael Moloney Also the New glitch is: In Forest of illusion 3 go to the room of the key's room with Yoshi, eat the key from outside the "cage" then put it on the second yellow block from the left, then go back to the GROUND with Yoshi and eat the key while jumping, for some reason this triggers the yellow block (50 points spared in the run)
If you want to do the death animation with yoshi glitch, an easy way to do it is in the first level of forest of illusion, go where the wiggler is over the spring and hop there with yoshi. You might either take damage on yoshi if your any big Mario’s, or you will get the death animation with yoshi
I played mairo world for years many times completed the game since the 90s and still play it this day. Best snes game imo. Never had any of these glitches so i wonder if its all real.
It's all real from what I've known,to some even nonsensical ones like the p switch eating can be done with slowdown,the only thing that's a weird glitch is the tubular cheese,but no one documented it
There is also an out of bounds glitch in Yoshi's island level 2. Before the checkpoint there is a hill. On one of the corners you press left and spin jump off of Yoshi with A at the same time and back on without touching the ground. Make sure Yoshi's touching the corner. Once you are back on Yoshi immediately press right, but don't jump. If done correctly you should fall through the hill to your death
At 0:40 If you go further on that level to the Chargin Chuck on the lower level and take him before he can crush the blocks and use a wing to get the blocks spinning and stand between them... when they stop spinning you will clip off the stage and die

Glitches, be they computer or video games, have always been a fear of mine. Don't ask me why. Mostly the really strange graphical ones like the glitched 1-Ups in this video. I feel like spiders are about to crawl all over me! Anyone else have this fear?
Wow. What a phobia. But I think I can understand. Ruptured graphics and errors denote something messed up with the game. The brain may not be able to separate them from real life events and go into panic mode. That or you have to lay off creepy pastas
The first one is very similar to a glitch in new super Mario bros DS, at the end of 1-1 there's a red koopa standing on 3 blocks, if you break one of them as the koopa is about to step on it he will enter a similar invulnerable state as the koopa in this clip, Mario and the koopa can chill together since neither of them can hurt each other

Here is one i found! While i can't verify if it's region or machine exclusive, if you have yoshi and have him stick out his tongue right before he eats a berry on his own, you can get an unused berry sprite to appear! Tested on SNES Classic

haha I always use the P switch recycling, I've discovered that glitch even before this video was uploaded
I played mairo world for years many times completed the game since the 90s and still play it this day.
Best snes game imo.
Never had any of these glitches so i wonder if its all real.
It's all real from what I've known,to some even nonsensical ones like the p switch eating can be done with slowdown,the only thing that's a weird glitch is the tubular cheese,but no one documented it
There is also an out of bounds glitch in Yoshi's island level 2. Before the checkpoint there is a hill. On one of the corners you press left and spin jump off of Yoshi with A at the same time and back on without touching the ground. Make sure Yoshi's touching the corner. Once you are back on Yoshi immediately press right, but don't jump. If done correctly you should fall through the hill to your death

At 0:40 If you go further on that level to the Chargin Chuck on the lower level and take him before he can crush the blocks and use a wing to get the blocks spinning and stand between them... when they stop spinning you will clip off the stage and die

Glitches, be they computer or video games, have always been a fear of mine. Don't ask me why. Mostly the really strange graphical ones like the glitched 1-Ups in this video. I feel like spiders are about to crawl all over me! Anyone else have this fear?

Wow. What a phobia. But I think I can understand. Ruptured graphics and errors denote something messed up with the game. The brain may not be able to separate them from real life events and go into panic mode. That or you have to lay off creepy pastas

Hit it with just enough strength to get the goal, but not to land on top. Land on bottom. You'll fall off in the goal transition.
The first one is very similar to a glitch in new super Mario bros DS, at the end of 1-1 there's a red koopa standing on 3 blocks, if you break one of them as the koopa is about to step on it he will enter a similar invulnerable state as the koopa in this clip, Mario and the koopa can chill together since neither of them can hurt each other

Tomato TCG But Yoshi is suppose to be one of the main side characters while plessie is just a side character, not a main one. Yoshi has his own game, he appears in other Mario games, etc. Plessie is just a side character.

Here is one i found! While i can't verify if it's region or machine exclusive, if you have yoshi and have him stick out his tongue right before he eats a berry on his own, you can get an unused berry sprite to appear!
