Man this was awesome! I always love seeing things like this. My mom was born in 1946 and will be 77 in August. This is the last of the baby boom generation…. Seeing museums and things such as this is the only thing we have left once this gernerarion is gone. Thank you for taking me on this tour! I love the older gerne rations time. It was so much simpler back then. Yes there was issues, worries, stress and struggles back then but not like today. I believe technology makes things more complicated and sometimes a slower process.
Keep on being you, Jordan! Love and hugs to Jah ♥️🦴🐾
What a Fun Restaurant....Thanks for showing all this Places to the World.
Love how you show such attention to the little details in the museum!! Thank you!! 😊
I had to laugh at the "time saving technology" sign on the ironing board.
Time saving and ironing should never be used in the same sentence!
😂
The scene with the car and before you walked into the house was very reminiscent of the scene in "The long, long trailer, when they are taking a tour of their mobile home for the first time.
So cool that a place like this exists.
My mom used to iron our white cotton sheets and her ruffled curtains. It took her all morning.
Enjoyed, safe travels, Jordan Jah 😊
Loved the restaurant too. That train delivery process SAS really cool and fun!
Thank you for sharing. I grew up in KC. It's still home. Have a great time while you are in town. 👍
After a hard days work, the one thing that really "Makes My Day" is to watch you, Jordan the Lion, and Jaw of course! I retire in 2 years and can't wait to visit some of the wonderful places you've been to. Thanks!!
This vlog was EVERYTHING! Thanks Jordan
My grandparents had that telephone! I often wondered how old it was! My grandpa lived until 94 so he was around for internet and cell phones. He thought it was really interesting. He loved books.
That house - Wow! Brought back some memories. Such a fun vlog.
That house! Mid-Century Modern . . .takes me back to America's best days. Love it too much. Great vlog Jordan!
Thanks so much for showing the all electric home. Loved it, I would live there in a heartbeat!
I love this home style. That's pretty cool how the food is delivered to you. Thanks Jordan on this tour. I love it. Tell Jah I said hello.
I love the old home. Sadly, in those days we believed if we hid under our desks, we'd be safe from a nuclear bomb. Fritz's restaurant is awesome. I love that your food is brought to you on a train. Thanks for this lovely vlog. You and Jah stay safe.
Appreciate your videos ❤
Love traveling with you and Jah. Enjoyed the tour of the house and especially loved the restaurant. Thank you and be safe.
Hi Jordan, oh my, I remember that washing machine, I used to see those in the Laundrette as a kid. Not thought of that memory for years. I love how the Jahster wasn't bothered about 'Fritz's'. Oh, 'Fritz's' was brilliant, loved it, should be more of them. Great vlog Jordan.
I love the 50’s house decor! Awesome!!!!
Just WOW !! I never knew these places existed ! LOVE that museum and the 1950's House. The Innovations of the 50's were amazing and some amusing. The restaraunt was COOL !! This would be handy today as many Restaraunts are short on wait staff, and there are long waits for service. The Civil Defense water barrels, been a while since I have seen one of those. GREAT JOB, really Enjoyed this one ! THANK YOU, Jordan ! :)
I love things like these. I only wished I could’ve seen the house of tomorrow at Disney Land.
Same here, would have Loved to see the House of Tomorrow. That should have been put in a museum somewhere. :)
What a great memory for a child to be taken to this train restaurant! 🚂
That was great. I love stuff from the 1950's. Fun restaurant.
Great tour. I loved the 1950's house. The projector in the living room wasn't for projection TV, it was for home movies. A lot of people had 8mm home movie camera's.
Another great vlog - so glad you made it in time to film the meal in the Fritz - it was so much fun. Many thanks for all your great work it is truly appreciated.
Great places! Thank you Jordan & Jah
Bring back memories thanks Jordan
What a cool way to get your food!! That food looked delicious!!
This was so much fun!! I love old homes and I am trying to picture living there back in time. The food at Fritz looked good and it would be great if all restaurants delivered your food by train. Very cool stuff you always show us!!
How fun to see you in my city. I have lived on Overland Park my whole life. The Johnson County Heritage Center is a neat place. It is fun to see the history of my hometown. Kansas City has a lot of rich history: The Plaza, Crown Center, Union Station, WWI Museum, Arabia Steamboat Museum just to name a few. Hope you enjoyed your time here.
The plaza is great during Christmas time. And I love crown center!
You have the best co-pilot, Jah ❤️ I love this! Wow, take me back to simpler times!! I was born at the very end of the baby boomers, and I wouldn't have it any other way 😊 Kansas weather looks so nice, what I would give for some sunshine here! I love that restaurant 😍 Jordan, you are an old soul ❤
I loved the tour of the house. I recognized a lot of things I grew up seeing that you don't see anymore. Like the old hair dryer, the vacuum cleaner, the wooden potty chair, ect. My parent's and I lived in a house similar to this one in the 70's. Our kitchen looked like this one. The stove had push buttons instead of knobs to turn it on. We had a double oven in the wall. Our dining room was separate from our living room though. Our house had a big picture widow in the living room. Our bedroom widows were up high like this house. This brought back some good memories. Thank you Jordan and Jau for taking us along. Loved that car too.
Really enjoying your videos. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. It's great to see these places and great to see someone living and enjoying life 👍
This was awesome Jordan! I wish we had a Fritz's here in Maine. I know where I'd be! LOL Hugs for precious Jah. He is such a good boy. He just wants to be with daddy! 😄
Even here in Australia my grandparents bathroom was all green, even their Royal Doulton toilet was the same colour green. 😂 Their tiny kitchen was also at the back of the house. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
Our bath room had pink tile outlined in black. The house was built in 1962.
@@bryanspindle4455 I don’t know what year my grandparents put the bathroom extension on.
When the house was originally built you had to bathe in a tub in the backyard. 😢
What fun, I am enjoying our travels!
This was a very cool vlog, being a baby boomer myself it brought back lovely memories, we had a pink bathroom and kitchen in the early sixties it was really cool, except when you wanted to change the colour of your accessories, tough to always match PINK! I used to say pink makes me puck lol, love the train restaurant very neat, Ty for a great day🐾😎
I lived in KC. I remember White Haven, I was there when it closed! Fritzs. I worked across the street from Union station. highly recommend it and Liberty Memorial.
Jah , Oh my buddy Jah !!! I have missed his little face !!! So happy to see you both but I was literally gonna ask about Jah . I am used to seeing you two always together . Now I have missed a bunch of your newer videos but I am catching up but I hadn't seen little precious and was worried about him . Okay GTSYB !!! Lots Of Love to you guys !!!
Loved the all electric house. I saw many items I grew up with. TFS
Overland Park is my hometown. So cool.
My parents had a camera like the one in the closet. It was one of the first Polaroid cameras. Instant photos . Loved the smell of the old movie screen. They had a shiny surface, not just flat white. My uncle has a Yellow and Cream ‘55 Chevy.
I still have my dad's Poloroid camera he bought in 1960.
Wow! Fritzs is my kinda dream, love it! Thank you from across the ocean. ❤
What a great video! I loved the electric house! Also appreciate the time you took to film it with all the interesting things. BTW they also had a lavender color for the bathrooms too. I had both my sink and toilet the same color.
Fritz's restaurant looks like such fun. I bet kids would get a kick out of it too. Thank you so much Jordan for taking us along. I really enjoyed it. Have. Great day!!
I think after homes bathrooms especially were done as in homage to mamie Eisenhower in mamie pink. I love it!
Jordan this was a great vlog enjoyed the electric house and Fritches Restaurant was great never saw anything like that before again thanks for sharing
I once had the Marx Dollhouse shown in the children's nursery. Spent many happy hours at-play!
Awesome places love the restaurant thanks
Seeing this makes me think Of moving back to Kansas, I love the way mid-America preserves their history, including family history. I could totally live in this house too!
Fun video. Got to love the 50’s thank you for taking us along to eat with you that’s a cool restaurant
What a cool house loved the 1960s look
Great One Jordan...that has looks familiar as we bought a 1954 Ranch from the original family...many things were still in place...the ATPOMIC RANCH! Fantastic Neon Sign also...Thanks!
I always enjoy your random adventures Jordan
mint or olive green and Pink was very common ,ln fact i grew up in a ranch style home kinda like a wonder years neighborhood . our two bathrooms were mint toilet an sinks and bathtubs with the gold trim glass sliding shower doors 😁 WOW i bever seen a restaurant where you can call on a phone to order in the restaurant itself how cool is that .i enjoyed this vlog , thank you jordan an Jah taking all of us with you on the adventures .
Loved this tour Jordan! I went to grammar school in Kansas city. I go back occasionally to visit relatives. This video was lovely.❤
Brilliant vlog! Really enjoying this trip. I'd like to hide in that 1950s house till the museum closed and spend the night there!
Fuck yeah!!! That is the Kansas part your visiting. All the same love, we reside in Missouri. Glad you came through I'm STOKED!!!!
It was so awesome. The train was awesome Choo Choo. Also, the look back in time
Thank you Jordan this was like walking through my childhood! Yes I am a Boomer! That Hot Dogged we had and it use to bust open our hot dogs! They also tasted funny. I really enjoyed seeing everything in that house. It was great!
Looks just like my Grandmas house. That avocado green phone was definitely around 1970 though.
😊 love those pink kitchen walls. 💗
I love this video. The old hotel sign was great. I could move in that house right now. You will have to let us know how your candy was. Fritz restaurant looks like a fun place to eat. Thanks for sharing Jordan.
I LOVE❤ GOOGIE SIGNAGE! I’m so glad they preserved the White Haven motel sign!
This is a fun and interesting vlog. I liked seeing the 50s house 🏠.
Thank you for the music recommendation. I will check out the album.
Welcome to Kansas City! Make your way near my neck of the woods next time for some interesting KC history at the Country Club Plaza. Lots of 1920s Spanish-style architecture, fountains brought in from various places in Europe, & lots of restaurants. The Plaza was one of the first shopping centers in America designed with parking in mind for the increasingly popular automobile. Thanks for the adventures. Fritz's looked like fun!
Your youth didnt even know what you were really looking at. I love it
Super cool the way your food was delivered. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have a pot like the yellow one you showed. Club aluminum I love it. We had a movie screen like that to show slides. I love the 56 car. I had a doll house like you showed and my son had a rocking horse like that.
Hey Jordan! I am loving your road trip videos!! Also enjoyed your Los Angeles vlogs!!❤😊
Nice to see the.first electric house of the fifties and fritzs train delivery restaurant good vlog jordan vickie napa california
That was fun!
I enjoyed this one. I love the restaurant. Ive never seen anything like it before. Youve also got the best co pilot who couldnt ask for anyone other than jah
Love the house! Wow!
Oh my gosh, that restaurant was so cool!
I grew up with those Franciscan Autumn dishes! That is a fantastic collection! The house I grew up in had the push button switches and green tile! The dollhouse is shockingly familiar. Am I an elder Gen Xer? Yup!
Love your adventures!
Loved this. How do find all these cool places? Thanks again for taking me with you.
Good day to you and jah
That restaurant was very unique
you were right, showing those twin beds, they never acted like married couples never slept together in the same bed. also when Alfred Hitchcock shot PSYCHO, the executives at the studio got on his case, they really freaked out, because in the shower scene it showed Janet Leigh flushing a toilet when she flushed down writing paper, isn't that surreal with the violence in the scene and the implied nudity that is what freaked them out the most then, also I loved how that blue train at fritz's brought you your food, just dropped it there
I lived in Kansas City Kansas for a long time and I remember when the White haven got tore down . Kemper arena is supposed to be haunted by the man that fell to his death. I've ate at Fritzs it's a fun place to eat especially if you have kids .
You're near by ....bout an hour away. Interesting exhibits. I see that candy in the stores here. Now I will have to try it. And the restaurant was great.
I am a big fan of your work, and I, too, live in KC area. Hope you had a great time!!! You need to bring Scott Michaels here as so many departed celebrities rest here, Jesse James, Walter Cronkite, Ed Asner. Jean Harlow, Ginger Rogers, William Powell, Joan Crawford all grew up here…Hallmark Cards, AMC theaters, H&R Block, Russell Stover candy are among the companies started here…Toy and Minature Museum and the Negro leagues museum are great stops…anyway, hope everyone has been nice to you and safe travels to you and Jah. Thanks for stopping by.
Projected the Super8mm film onto the screen.
My dad had that screen, he used it for slides.
Choo-chooo! Very good food delivery there.
I'll check out that band Connections.
White Haven was located on Metcalf. I remember it.
Loved it,
Wait, on the table in the yard, are those aluminum tumblers??? We had a set. Epic.
The museum was an old bowling alley !
Kids under the desk. Those were the days
Hiding under the desks in fear of something that never came.
Now we have politicians who ignore the school shootings but have children practicing these same drills. This time the fear is legitimate and is happening.
Hello Jordan! A fun day to be sure. I loved that restaurant and the museum really took me back. How did you find out that Kentucky Derby winner grave at the end of that cul de sac? Really interesting. Thank you for sharing, my friend. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
i love that bowling pin, we have a center, that puts on shows in downtown hamilton, i've filmed there before
there is a Fritz's in downtown kansas city missouri inside crown center shopping center as well
"going to kansas city, kansas city here we come?........if you recognize that song. i was at kemper arena too, spent three days there in 1993 for our FFA national convention when i was in high school
Jah is my FAV on your channel because he is the mirror image of our she chi 😂!!! Color, floppy ears & all!!😊 I think she's smaller though & half Jahs age at 5. 😅 She even crooks her nail like him!!!! What a hoot! 😂 Doppelgangers for sure 😊
Also Layne Staley played his last show with AIC at Kemper Arena
I wasnt an AIC fan
What an interesting stop! The house looked so simplistic of the 50's. What caught my eye was the Presto Hotdogger. We had one of those when I was a kid. That thing heated up it used to sizzle and spark at the spike where the hot dog was placed, and gave a foul burned taste to the ends! Yuck! Totally dug the fritz's restaurant though!
Awesome. Just moved from KC to Houston and Ive been waiting on the KC videos (from Instagram ;) )
I love how I can travel vicariously to all these places with you and Jah.
I am a boomer, and I remember having to duck and cover in case of a nuclear attack. I loved the electric house.
I grew up in a house with the exact style of windows. My parents only had one bed, though. Haha. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Dang!!! We want a Fritz now!!!!😢 I also want to try a grilled cheese & ham with pickles & those tots look amazing! Must be time to eat!!! Lol
Ahhhh.....you were literally down the street from me at the Johnson county museum
I enjoyed the area! I'll be back to KC
You were in my area! That is awesome, great vlog as always. I have never been to Fritz’s ,looks so good!
are you going to independence Missouri as well? There is ginger rogers house and Vaile mansion all within a 10 minute walking distance too. Also Harry Truman Presidential library and house not very far either.
