It would be nice to sideload apps but I know for a fact I’d be too lazy to keep them updated myself. 🤷♂️.
And arguably “open source” code is much more secure in the long run since the entire community has eyes on it.
They could also open source part of the operating system. Like an app sandbox, while keeping other parts closed source.
They should open source parts of the operating system for sure. But, it's not a big deal if they don't.
Having the option to sideload apps is always a good thing though! Maybe sideloading other app marketplaces that could update the app for you could work?
@@AverageNerdTalks Yeah, I'm all for another marketplace. I think that's a logical step as it also grants the freedom to those less tech savvy.
Apple ONLY think of the bottom line and that is $$$$Billion. Greed rules. Personally I don't help their coffers.
