Because of how some Asian people treat black people in the west, I had determined to be suspectful of and dislike ALL Asians. Seeing you guys work hard to get along in a POSITIVE manner makes me realize that I shouldn't judge everyone in a cultural group based on the negative behaviors of a few. I KNOW that none of us are perfect BUT if the whole world attempted to RESPECT, show care and interact with each other like you guys do, maybe more of us would feel LOVED, appreciated and have less stress.

Rose, I'm glad that your husband is traveling with you. I would like to give you some unsolicited advice....when you get back home, whereas it may be a big reunion for you, meeting friends and family, it may be easy to forget your husband at times....keep him close by,even when doing simple chores such as going to the trading centre to buy a few things, or fetching water etc..translate for him when having conversations with the locals (It may be exhausting, I know), that way, he will feel included and won't feel left out in the new surroundings. Otherwise, I look forward to watching that trip. From a fellow Ugandan ❤

What I loved was when Rose said ‘you don’t understand romance’ and he made an effort and she received his gesture. Such a good lesson on how to meet someone where they are on the way to getting where they will be. Also he went to Uganda with her! Such a wonderful trip.
