- Some Las Vegas rideshare drivers gathered for a protest on Wednesday after they said they were denied surge pricing during the busy concert weekend.

Idk where the money is going.. no app updates or new features, silicon valley ‘employee’ layoffs and customer service is very poor and elementary.. if people actually saw how uber invest its money back into the company maybe people will be lenient but this is just horrible

Drivers are struggling, uber takes more than 50%, i asked my passenger one day how much you payed and said $37, while i got payed for that ride $6.50 , shame on you uber. corrupted garbage company.

I did Uber and Lyft for about 2 months this year and very soon after I started I knew I’d have to get me a 9-5 again. I’m working remote. People just have to say fuck these companies because they really don’t give a fuck about drivers.
Who put this idea in your silly little head that these companies SHOULD care about you? Imagine if the CEO of Uber went online to say "WAAH, these drivers keep quitting. They don care about me!!!".

Dara is garbage that only cares about himself. They need to get rid of the upfront pricing and make a lot of changes with the app. Drivers should be paid fairly for there time. Mostly because their doing all the work.They also need to improve on their safety . Yet they dont give a crap about the drivers. Its a shame how much Uber and Lyft takes from drivers. Its is downright insane and needs to change.

I live in Los Angeles, California. I'm a full time Uber driver. My Uber account is deactivated. I applied and they denied my applied. Uber says my account is deactivated for Safety concerns. I ask what I do, they never tell me or message me. I called customer support. They say you already know why your account is deactivated. Uber needs to stop deactivating drivers' accounts. We are working so hard they will not appreciate you. Uber will behave like an animal. They don't even think about how you will manage your family. We want to fix it Deactivated policy.

30-35 hours a week for $500-$700 bucks?! How about I drive an average of 70+ hours for $800 (before expenses)!!! Trapped in debt!!! Be careful when wanting to be an Independent Contractor and drive for these companies. You DO NOT HAVE ANY LABOR PROTECTIONS. You will also suffer the consequences during tax season. Uber and Lyft drivers pay taxes on the ENTIRE customer transaction not just the fraction that Uber gives you. Even the “Split fare” feature they offer passengers riding in groups etc. the driver pays taxes on each fee.
TNC has their hands in every transaction at the airport but offers NOTHING but harsh conditions at the staging lot. Imagine being out there in that parking lot for 2.5 hours waiting on a $14 ride in 112 degree weather. No shade. No cover. No water fountains etc. just a few porta potty’s and a few dumpsters for trash but last year my taxes reflect that I paid TNC $2,700 in total(10% of my total take home!!) 🤔THE MORE PEOPLE SIGN UP THE MORE PEOPLE GET SWINDLED. I wish the investigative team would really look into this whole thing. That staging lot where this was filmed is where BILLIONS of dollars start from. Billions!

Just so everyone on here knows them blaming the state of emergency was a lie because Las Vegas had already said that it was canceled. Drivers who had top-tier vehicles like UberXL and Uber black we're still paying surge money during the concert and Lyft was paying surge as well. Uber is just a big liar and of course they found the one rider that is happy that she didn't have to pay a higher price but you had to wait a hour for a driver. Because the smart drivers were not going to take those rides. Us asking for surge pricing when there is actually a surge is not trying to get more money from the customer it's what we're entitled to as drivers it's typical supply-and-demand you pay more when there's less product/service. And what over was doing to Uber x and even some uberxl drivers was just flat-out wrong and then they try to cover it up with a lie by blaming it on the state

Taxis never actually went anywhere you're free to call a taxi anytime you don't want to use Uber or Lyft. Generally speaking most taxis cost more money if you're going long distance, but taxis are more economical if you're just going a short distance.

@vincentkivuva584 they don't pay the gas or maintenance fees for the bus they drive. They also get sick days, vacation days, retirement and health insurance. It's definitely not a real job and you're definitely not an entrepreneur.
