Hello Tim... What is that ugly building at the starting point on the left hand side before the building for religious affairs? I always hope it could be torn down and rebuilt to its previous design... Perhaps there was a handsome building before its appearance?
Oh, I think you are referring to the Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce Building. The entire area used to be part of a ensemble called Government Offices, which have the same appearance as the Penang Islamic Council Building. Unfortunately they were destroyed during the Second World War, leaving the only remnant that today houses the Islamic Council.
