Hi Jordan, you can walk in to any clinic nearby to seek for doctor consultation. It costs about RM50-60, may be at around RM100 if the doctor prescribes you antibiotic. Take care and enjoying the rest of your journey. Take care.
0:28 fun fact: behind that metal sheet construction wall theres a entire street of 19th century buildings called jalan maxwell and it was open till December of 2017 when they realised the old buildiga could be a hazerd They are still there by the way
Penang is the street food capital of Asia. Char Koay Teow, prawn noodles, assam laksa, nasi kandar, pasembur, ice kacang. These are just some of the food you can also get in KL but they are just the best in Penang
Welcome to Malaysia. I just came back from Ipoh. Try White coffee, chicken rice (or with beansprouts), wanton noodles, hokkien mee, ying yong (fried vermicelli and flat rice noodles) in cantonese style sauce and hakka mee there. Food poisoning? Try taking Apple, Banana, Oats or Lotus Root soup. It will help you flush the unwanted things out of your stomach. Nature will call more often though.
If you're not feeling well, just google the nearest clinic and walk-in to see the GP. A quick check on your condition is a good idea. You'll never know. It's not that expensive at all.
Great video! Wasn’t your grab ride to the jetties just a 5min ride, not 20? Or is traffic that bad? 🤪 Did u feel welcome at the tan jetty? I’d like to watch sunrise there one morn when i go. Thanks for pointing out the wire art with the stories, will chk these out with my kids + learn about the history 👌 and yes imo chinese food is definitely a big part of Malaysian food!
hahaha we arrived pretty much when i finished talking! it was insanely fast! thanks so much for watching! the Tan jetty was our favourite for sure, very beautiful and nobody was there so early!
Love, love, love Georgetown. Stay away from dairy if you have an upset stomach. The satays are great when you feel well enough. The Blue Mansion is worth a visit. Penang Hill. Komtar Tower has great views of all of Georgetown.
Being outside long hours in our hot and humid weather, you can easily get "heaty"(our local way to describe feeling unwell), you should try our ways of cooling down your body. One of most common way is to drink our 100plus, you can also drink fresh coconut drink or barley drink when having your meal. If you can stand the taste, chinese herbal tea(you can get in the eating places or hawker stalls) also good.
@JordanandEmily BTW if you have stomach upset due to food poisoning, try to drink honey drink (real good authentic honey ) as honey helps to detox. It is advisable to carry with you some honey sticks while travelling. You can get them in organic shop, it comes in a form of a stick which 1 stick is enough for making 1 cup of drink or you can just take it like that. I usually bring a lot when I travel for a long trip(about 3 weeks to a month ).
Google Map below as I have been there, great food. Nasi Ganja Ipoh ( Nasi Kandar ayam Merah) Sam Ma Restaurant (Chicken Rice) Ipoh Tuck Kee Restaurant Yee Fatt Curry Mee Sun Marpoh Restaurant Kin Loong Valley Chang Jiang White Coffee
Welcome to Malaysia! I’m a British/malaysian living in Kuala Lumpur. KL should be the highlight of your Malaysia trip haha! KL is often referred as a “hidden gem” because of how underrated and quite unknown Malaysia is in general but the things you have access to is incredible. KL provides a HUGE blend of cultures, affordable luxury homes, vibrant foods, many international schools such as French and British (like I went to), a stunning city skyline, and insane convenience. I lived in the UK for only about 5 years and I couldn’t stand it there. I needed Malaysia again 😂
KL is a great place to stay and work on yourself or your projects due to the lower CoL and available amenities. Truly, most of SEA is. But KL and Bangkok are really special to me.
I'm from East Malaysia and have travelled on nearly every state in West Malaysia... except Penang. Watching you guys enjoying yourself there really sparks my interest in going there. Next year, I'll go and try China House for sure! That Tiramisu looks absolutely delish!
don't forget to explore Putrajaya which is located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur! it's the administrative capital of Malaysia and known for its architecture, parks and lakes. for a cool climate, visit Cameron Highlands and Fraser's Hill.
How did you get thru talking about "Doodle Of The Week" without giggling like a couple of primary school kids? Oh and we found the same coffee thing in HK. McCafe or nothing until at least 10am
That cake looked so divine! Malaysia is looking quite awesome I have to say. Those views from the infinity pool at the hotel are really awesome!
Super nice! We're so glad we had a nice hotel to go back to after feeling so rough!
Both of you guys have such kind souls and warm hearts - positive, gracious, and humble human beings ♥️😍🥰. Btw, it's my birthday 🎂🎉
haha thank you and happy birthday!

Penang, is utterly wonderful. So walkable, with cheap public transport for the places a bit further away. And the food.... Awesome!
Super walkable city!
Penang definitely has a unique charm!
Definitely!

@@JordanandEmily That's right. Many of the Chinese food in Malaysia is indigenous and you won't find them in China or Taiwan.
good vlog
Thanks so much! 😊
Blue mansion is worth it.
You can also get affordable healthcare at local clinics, without need for medical insurance.
Interesting, maybe we missed something here then! We’ll have to go back!
Go for char kuey tiau (Chinese style) .
👀 maybe we will!

Great plan! Definitely do that! Maybe a dinosaur milo too? 😄
How is that even possible, bro? So you travelled to Kedah, a state surrounding Penang, but never set foot in Penang?
So many great patiserries in Penang. Try Rainforest on Chulia near Love Lane!

Indian food, Chinese food etc. is Malaysian food.
This is great to hear 😄
Going around in the Malaysian hot weather wearing black is a bad choice. They absorbed the heat more. It's better to put on a white cotton t-shirt.
Unfortauntely our white gets dirty quiockly haha - we definitely need to buy more white tops!
@@JordanandEmily Get those (t-shirts) made from microfiber; they will wick and cool you down. You can get them for around rm20 each.
Get yourself some activated charcoal tablets if you believe you're experiencing food poisoning.
