Research the monk that haunts Kings Road, Portobello! I’ve seen him, with a witness. He’s connected to the land so I think there must have been some kind of monk structure there back in the day. I found out that the monks from Holyrood Abby used the land for grazing livestock, following the fresh water source of the burn that comes out onto portobello beach and into the Forth. I’ve also told someone the story and they said “oh that’s weird, an old guy I was talking to down Portobello said there is a monk that haunts Kings Road!” Id love to tell you of my encounter, this was a full bodied apparition of a monk that looked as real as both of us that witnessed him. Also, he wasn’t good, I felt a very strong feeling of dread from him!
Ah yes, i think you mentioned the monk previously? I would love to hear more about your sighting. Feel free to get in touch if you're up for it.
@@eerieedinburgh will do! It totally changed my view on things.
@@darrenneil4533 I can imagine! Not something you expect cutting about Portie.
I could listen to you talk all day! 🏴 ❤
Too kind, thank you 😊
100%
So can I
I'm slowly working my way through your catalogue of videos and you have never failed to keep this Dunfermline man coming back for more.
That is lovely of you to say, thank you👍🏻
Another excellent video! I will never forget an encounter I had up by the Culloden battlefield. We (some friends and I) journeyed up from Wales to find some specific clan markers as some of our ancestors fought in the battle. We found them, walked the field, spoke with locals and after a long walk into the evening we joined a larger group of wild campers for supper and drinks so bedded down with them. The next day we walked back to the field, not sure why as id covered it the day before but as I stood by my clan marker, a heavy hand patted my shoulder several times. I turned expecting to see my friends but was alone there, theyd gone off to the small house nearby. After id turned around, i felt it again like a heavy handed push or pressure between my shoulders. Like if someone pushed you forwards but not aggressively. Very peculiar as when this happened i couldn't hear a thing no birds, no breeze it was so strange. Nature sounds all came back at once. I felt very low and angry for some hours after but have been back since and always feel comfortable there now. Its a special place that seems to draw some back. Scotland is home away from home
I stayed in Royal Circus a few years back so I'm giddy about this video. Whenever I stay in one of those old Georgian houses I always get this spooky feeling like I'm about to walk down the hall and run into a ghostie. They reek with old air and they've been standing for so long.
Also, that church at 14:07 is where my maternal grandparents were married. Saint Stephen's.
Its a wonderful building! A friend contacted me to say they've heard that the woman is still seen in the building 😱
This is by far the best ghost channel on the Internet, I've been looking for something like this for such a long time now, finally I found it, great videos and very good narrative, I will be listening to these stories over and over again, I especially love the accounts of women in white and grey ladies, over all the best channel ever!,, keep up the great work 👻
Thank you Mr. Eerie, have been missing you but not sure I was ready for baby farming today.
Its a very dark story, beggars belief! hope you're keeping well.
These are always soo good. And the illustrations are rematkable.

Really enjoy these videos and before long this channel will definitely have a huge following. The visuals, the stories and your delivery are excellent. Really appreciate all your hard work.
You're too kind, thanks my friend.
@@eerieedinburgh thank you for responding. I believe these are the sorts of videos that tourists and people with an interest in our city should be watching. Makes a huge change from generic vlogs and it’s genuinely a great history lesson wrapped up in stories unique to us in Edinburgh. A great watch.

Doing very well, thanks.
We had a little snow late Nov., that all melted and nothing until this past Wed.
Now, we have enough that I can send to you! LOL
Been fortunate enough to enjoy your work from the beginning. Great ti see your channel grow and grow. Great content and exceptional production. Spooky too! Thanks mate. 👍 😂
Thank you so much. You must be so proud of your work. It's stunning. Troubling story, but the stories of past lives is fascinating.Nothing much has changed in the world when you follow human behaviour and see our history through the ages.
Yours is always my 'go to' channel when I need something to ground and relax me. As always, gratitude.
Aww, thank you, you are a star 😊 i'm working on the next story. The normal script is about 1,500 words. This next one is close to 5,000 😱. Will be a biggie!
@@eerieedinburgh I have a herniated disc impinging the nerves in my spine at the moment. I can't move at all without being in agony. I'm waiting to get steroid injections, but am bed-bound for now. I have a flight booked for Edinburgh on the 5th of Feb!!! Not so sure I'll make it, but fingers crossed. So I can't wait for your next story. They've been a saving grace over the past month. Bless. Thank you mate.

This is my favorite ghostie site. So many others are just rubbish or AI. I'm a definite believer having just experienced a visit from my beautiful, but recently deceased wife.

Me encantó escucharte.👍👏👏❤️🇪🇸
Thank you 😊🏴
Lovely shot of the back of Dean Village at 2:00. 😋👍, spent a fair bit of my childhood playing around there in the 1980’s. I see they’ve built houses on the site of the old tannery, about 400m upstream of that photo😎👍.
Well done lad, another good video.
Too kind, my friend. Thanks 😊
I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again, this is my absolute favorite channel. Everything about is just perfect!
You are too kind! Thank you, Kelly 😊
Excellent stories!
Thank you 😊
Another great story! I'm really enjoying these. I lived in Edinburgh on two separate occasions around 40 years ago. Despite not being particularly 'sensitive' to the supernatural, I did have a number of strange experiences in almost every flat I lived in, (one or two of which were later confirmed by fellow flatmates), plus another experience in a workplace, and have always been naturally drawn to historical places. In comparison to other Scottish cities I've lived in, I think Edinburgh is a very haunted city indeed.
Hiya Sir, I've watched all your vlogs now, I binged watched all them (that I haven't seen) yesterday and this morning, I like Jane from George Street, she sounds wonderful, I didn't know it was the Pringle family that started the tailoring company until now, this is Paul in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England
Thank you for yet another intriguing story😊
Wonderful stories and photos, thanks!
Love your stories and love the art work l can listen over and over please more stories
Born and bred in stockbridge. Ive always said it has a darkness to it. My son seen a monk in one of our houses in Dean Path and a young girl in our Hamilton Place house. My mum still lives in new town.....right beside Royal Circus eeeeek. Lol great work! New Sub x
Loving these stories 🙏🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏
I look forward to your videos immensely. Edinburgh is the only major city where I had ancestors that I have never visited. I will have quite a collection of haunted lore when I finally get there!
Happy 2024 and thank you !
Thanks!
Thank you my friend 😊
I loved this story i look forward to hearing from you again.
Thanks very much 😊
Great illustrations
Excellent video. Thank you.
Your channel is amazing.❤

Thank you my friend. Looking forward to your next episode also, loved the garotter tale 👏🏻
Thanks
Thank you so much, Kellie 😊🫂
Great vid, great presentation. Thank you, and a big hello from Australia :)
thanks again Great
Great video as always!
The ghost at the Circus may simply have wanted to be acknowledged. It's a common cause for a haunting. They only appear as a "I'm here and you may stay if you behave properly." The psychic's experienced demeanor convinced her so she no longer needs to show herself.
the opening music in these videos sounds like the music from Lord of the Rings XD
Thanks Eerie !! Another great video !! Happy New Year man!
Love your video❤ new subscriber
I have often wondered, when confronted with news footage of a large city, and the crowds of the sidewalks, just how many of the teeming throng are actually ghosts.
What a great way to start the new year. I stopped everything to sit and watch your video. You always bring the history and tales to life so vividly. Edinburgh is the one city I desperately want to visit. Thank you for sharing your fascinating city with us.
My pleasure, thanks for the kind feedback 😊 all the best for 2024
It seems as if she just wants to visit as she loved the place. She's minding her old home..
First! 😂 Stockbridge eh!
Hiya Sir, you haven't said what your name is, I'm just new to your channel and what I've saw is interesting, that's why I've subscribed , Have you watched the channel Ghost Casebook, its very similar to this one, I'm a direct descendant of Mary Queen Of Scots, I've heard of Lord Darnley, what these ghosts wear reminds me of Kate Bush, this is Paul in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England
OMG, it bugs me EVERY TIME I watch one of your videos that I cannot remember what movie your intro music is from. Could anyone please help me get some closure on this dilemma?
Lol
Not gonna lie...if she looked like the lady in the drawing, and she just floated about the place enjoying the view, I'd enjoy having the White Dress Lady as a roomate. Would have to learn her name though....can't just randomly call her Betsy or Liz if her name's actually cool and Victorian like Vermillia or something lol.
If the ghost of the woman means no harm, why is she portrayed in the corridor like a horror image from "The Ring?" Seems a tad unfair.
And the bloke got off Scot free , whilst the woman was hanged ..hmmm some things never change .
