Is there any water undert his area? A hidden river, creek or the like? Hidden or forgotten wells in the area? Plot those, water is useful in hauntings, especially moving water. What is the rock in the area made of? Granite? Diorite? All useful in stone tape theory....
I was actually thinking the same about water. It's a minute or so's walk from the main river that runs through the city (The Water of Leith). Good shout, i'll see if I can dig anything up on the make up of the rock.
Always told at school (near Edinburgh) that Edinburgh's New Town was 'better' than the perhaps more famous Bath, because of the quality of the stone used- it was supposed to be local and harder/more durable. I'm not a geologist and this could all be rubbish, but I mention it in case.

Edinburgh is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in the world.
That bloody makes my blood boil someone killing a defenceless child (because it cried babies do that for many reasons ) which was bad enough but to take his own life by hanging what a coward and i hope he rots in hell. Good stories thanks for telling

Whole a good story it's still horrible thank you for your efforts and time researching . I know you love and drawn to ghost stories as I am too . But just saying if life was so cruel to you why linger ? Why hold on to a life you suffered in,while you must have loved on awaiting you on the other side . Again thank you very intriguing.

How do you make the art and animations for these videos?
For a lot of the images i use an AI tool called Nightcafe. Text to image. Since i started using it, its improved leaps and bounds. If you've seen any of the more recent videos, you'll know what i mean.

Beware of some neighbours..
When I was a child there was a very belligerent man on the rd - he had a family but hated local children playing.
One day he came out, saw his car had a flat tyre, knocked on the innocent next door neighbour's door and killed him with a fatal stab wound
mmm....is this fiction? How did the daughter get into the upstairs room if the landlord said it was locked? 🤔
Its a well known story, the specifics came from an early 20th century "ghost hunter" called Elliot O'Donnell. A more detailed account is in his book called Scottish Ghost stories. This book scarred me as a kid 😊
