    Excellent. I have been using charcoal for years and your tutorial gave me an entirely different approach. I can't wait to use it. Thank you

    Drawing and Painting Tutorials - TheVirtualInstructor.com : Could you make a video that deals more with cross-contour lines? I always think I understand them, until I draw them, and then they don't look right. I work mainly with pen and ink.

    I've never seen powdered charcoal before! I would love to try it but I think I'd make a huge mess lol

    • @jassmeenem3893
      @jassmeenem3893 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's how to remove not prevent.

      @ros.820 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually I use a paper towel under my hand to avoid smudging and if there's some smudges left I carefully erase them with an eraser pen. After my drawing is finished, I just apply Fixatif

    Basically I only see 28 teeth in this jaw. You might be able to fit four more. Just an idea. Have a tremendous day!

    Why a skull?! Fed up the the death culture!!!!

    • @thevirtualinstructor
      @thevirtualinstructor  10 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      A skull is actually a classical subject for drawing. It has nothing to do with "death culture"

    • @JDvorak2009
      @JDvorak2009 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everybody's got a skull. Hardly any have two. Skulls are interesting drawing subjects because they have many ins and outs and many types of lighting and shadowed areas and crevasses and so from hundreds of years in the past all the way to the present, they have been a major study of interest, since there are skulls of many shapes and sizes.
