I appreciate the detail about the stickers not getting dinged. I think I remembered seeing the sticker thing IRL. The trick to lying is to dance with the truth.
To be fair as someone who was obsessed with Barbies when they were younger he did pretty well in lying, like the excuse he made for not having any real toilets is true a lot of Barbie houses used stickers as a way to portray details/furniture/whatever like toilets, kitchens, bedrooms etc will have most of its details in the background coming with only the basics (bed, sofa, table, chairs, etc) and maybe decorations (fake flowerpots, etc) to use when playing with the dolls.
2:32 I love how he is completely right about this one, I remember when my little sister had Barbie houses 90% of the furniture was just stickers in the walls
As someone who watched through Doug’s POV, this was genuinely insanely good lying. It all looked really well thought out and it sounded like he knew exactly what he was saying!
I used to have a barbie dream house and I will say, yes there was a ton of stickers for appliances such as the stove and oven, and I remember it had the EXACT same brick wall RT had. So even if he was bullshitting, it was a very believable lie because it's true somewhat
The extra funny thing is I'm pretty sure he's not wrong about the stickers even though that was complete BS. I guess they weren't Barbie brand but I definitely had playsets with stickers for like the kitchen and bathroom.

It was great watching this in real time. I just knew he was bullshitting his way through that whole thing because I straight up saw him make the house in a moment of panic and I was genuinely impressed watching him sell it anyway.
4:08 “I wanna keep the garden nice pristine and proper”
4:12 * machine gun planting noises *
the ding is so damn loud
I agree
dude it's clipping 😭
Gonna get around to fixing it soon

RTG: Rumble Tumble Gaslight
honestly the more i watch this moment the more i’m convinced he’s barely even lying, just generously interpreting his own work in real-time
This is the true proof that RT is, in fact, an English major.
This is his badge, and it proves that he's an English major
I appreciate the detail about the stickers not getting dinged. I think I remembered seeing the sticker thing IRL.
The trick to lying is to dance with the truth.
Love it, the ding sounds make me kinda def though lol
Gonna fix it soon
This is what it’s like to have all points put into charisma
I mean he is The Man who manages to convince 10.000 people to watch Paint Dry...
You can even see the moments where he sees a unpainted wall
And hides under an umbrella
To be fair as someone who was obsessed with Barbies when they were younger he did pretty well in lying, like the excuse he made for not having any real toilets is true a lot of Barbie houses used stickers as a way to portray details/furniture/whatever like toilets, kitchens, bedrooms etc will have most of its details in the background coming with only the basics (bed, sofa, table, chairs, etc) and maybe decorations (fake flowerpots, etc) to use when playing with the dolls.

I love how he is completely right about this one, I remember when my little sister had Barbie houses 90% of the furniture was just stickers in the walls
this is the equivalent of a teenager doing a last minute project and the teacher grading them a hard A+
As someone who watched through Doug’s POV, this was genuinely insanely good lying. It all looked really well thought out and it sounded like he knew exactly what he was saying!
my favorite was how everytime he said "we thought about that" it was a lie. man was not thinking at all
When you roll a 2 on the performance check to write a poem and then you roll a 20 to deceive everyone that it has deeper meaning.
Lmaooooo. I’m still in the beginning and just dying at the fact you put this together. Thank you 😂👏🏽💕
I love how the stickers of appliances and plumbing actually was real and not a lie
I used to have a barbie dream house and I will say, yes there was a ton of stickers for appliances such as the stove and oven, and I remember it had the EXACT same brick wall RT had. So even if he was bullshitting, it was a very believable lie because it's true somewhat
The best lie is one that has a drop of truth in it
I kinda want this remade but with the extremely loud incorrect buzzer noises
Credit where it's due for not calling the sticker bit a lie, because that was actually a thing lol
OH MY GOD I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I ONLY WATCHED FROM JERMA'S PERSPECTIVE.
Like one comment said during the stream, he would make a killer used up car salesman.
XD
"You kneel before my throne unaware it was born of lies" at its finest lol
He didn't lie, he simply told alternate truths!
“They used to call me the Grift King back in college.”
Jerma absolutely needs to do more competitions like this, used car salesman style
This is what presenting your work in art school is like
That bell was _painfully_ loud.
I had no idea he was lying. I believed every word.
The extra funny thing is I'm pretty sure he's not wrong about the stickers even though that was complete BS. I guess they weren't Barbie brand but I definitely had playsets with stickers for like the kitchen and bathroom.
RT is the guy to drop his something on the floor in a gallery and to not get in trouble for littering he sells it off as an art piece, then makes a few thousand dollars of that
RT has a future in salesmanship if the content creation thing ever falls apart
You know what i love when i watch a vid a sound that make my ear fall off, the *DING* sound effects are soooo good that my ear are so delighted every time i hear it, it add *SO MUCH* to the vid
Gonna fix it soon
“So, I did think about the garage-“ DING
I am still so impressed how he bullshitted his way into victory.
I wonder how Jerma reacted after seeing how much RT lied to get the win
He would've won the second tournament if he didn't lie so much in this one. Jerma was probably taking everything with a grain of salt thinking it might all just be made up on the spot.
The entire theme was a lie I love it
i cant tell if this was a persuasion check, a deception check, or a performance check, but rt sure did roll a nat 20
god tier edit
I like that the lie dings only happen during the actual lies. When he's spouting wiki facts, it doesn't go off.
I will say that ding is VERY loud though 😂
Gonna fix the ding sound later
I watched this from DougDoug's stream and I didn't even know he was lying.
This was like being in senior high and knowing your way to bullshit your last minute essay
my final grade for art class included analysis on various art pieces, in essay format, and I'm pretty sure I employed the exact same tactics for that as RT did here. The perfect blend of bullshit and luck
In another life he could’ve been the best salesman
I would have loved to hear Jerma's reaction to all this. I know he wouldn't be mad, he'd probably laugh, but still
Based off Jerma's face during the presentation I bet he suspected part of it was bullshit but he was so impressed by RT's lying and deception he let it slide
Ah yes, the English Lit student’s way of completing an assignment.
