@PureAwkwardness Mined Studios is correct, it made it's debut in Tsu, though this version is the Fever version, AND it also plays against Carbuncle in the bonus boss fight with him.

As a Pokémon and Puyo fan. I think Carnbuncle's design was very off-putting from Fever until 20th Anniversary where they finally got him right.
While Pikachu's main sour spot was in Gen 1, and he's only been getting better... Until they decided to change his cry in Gen 6 to his name (that was unnecessary), but that has nothing to do with his design.

I'mma be honest: I don't like Carbuncle. It takes a lot for me to like a character with essentially no dialogue, but ever since puyo puyo shifted towards dialogue humor, Carbuncle became boring and one note. He's easily the worst of the no dialogue animal group, despite being around the longest. This is also an unpopular opinion but Ta da > Gu gu. Two repetitive syllables are infinitely less annoying than one, especially when the latter is repeated in the most obnoxious high-pitched baby voice.
