Congratulations! I've had mine for 6 months now and absolutely love it. You are right to be concerned about the scratches, but don't let it spoil your wearing pleasure.
You see, I was just starting to like you. We had a number of watches in common, cameras and photography, ex military etc and then you go and get a Pepsi (I have one), but no - you have to get the gold one with a stunning blue dial 😂 Congratulations man, really great purchase. Wear it in good health 👏
Didn’t know you were in the military. I’m still in the Reserve. Love wearing a Rolex with my Navy uniform! Usually go with the 40mm Submariner Date or 36mm Explorer.
I just purchased the new Pepsi 2021 on the Oyster Bracelet with the polished center links. Absolutely love it, until I saw your watch. Thanks for sharing your buying experience along with showing the watch in the daylight.
I have a good relationship with my AD with consistent purchases. We talk at least once a month depending on what’s available whereas they have my wish list.
Congratulations on the watch. I have a 2014 with the black dial. Sent it to the Rolex service center (Lititz) in PA two months ago for servicing and swapping out the black dial for the blue. Got it back last week and wow it’s like a brand new watch. It’s my daily because it’s so under the radar and yes the polished links will scratch, but it’s a watch meant to be worn. Prior to sending it to the Rolex service center I weighed the watch which was 209 grams. I was curious how much white gold the polishing would have taken off. When I got it back I weighed the again on the same scale…it came in at 208 grams. Only 1 gram of difference! All the scratches were gone…looked brand new. Very impressed. The only difference was the dial and all the hands (seconds, minute, hour, & 24 hour) were swapped out not that they needed to be. It was recommended meaning the hands. Regardless you’ll love the watch. Wear it in good health.
Great to hear your experience. I think I heard about them swapping out dials to the new blue dial, but I didn't know if they still did that. Does your new dial have the crown between "Swiss Made"? Has your bracelet gotten stretched at all? I'm really enjoying the watch, it looks great. It's only about 2x the price of a grey market steel Pepsi, and I was able to get it at the AD! Just got some scratches on the clasp and don't know how that happened. It feels pretty heavy on my wrist. Not sure if I could wear it as an everyday. I like to rotate it with a lighter Rolex. I just sent in my 2006 Oyster Pepsi 16710 to Lititz 3 weeks ago for an overhaul. The winding was getting gritty and bezel was stiff. They recommended replacing the hands and crystal, so I gave approval, and waiting to get it back. (I didn't notice anything wrong with the hands to my eye). I hope the bezel action gets fixed. I asked my AD to purchase an extra jubilee bracelet for it, but they said no. They said they are not allowed to make modifications. Still makes a nice pair with the White Gold GMT.
@@sc1 Actually no…the replacement blue dial does not have the crown symbol between “Swiss Made”. The original black dial didn’t either. Interesting. Yes they still offer replacement from black to blue on the white gold models, but with a fee and they keep the original black dial. I asked if I could keep my original black dial and they said no. I asked about the meteorite dial and obviously a no from Rolex. I think the blue dial looks and is more legible than the meteorite, but the meteorite dial so unique. After a week with it I actually prefer the blue dial more because it compliments the bezel better in my opinion and also subtly distinguishes it from the stainless steel oyster version. My bracelet feels just as tight when I bought it. As mentioned before, the bracelet will develop micro scratches which aren’t really noticeable unless under intense/bright lights such as those at the AD. It’s a watch; it’s meant to be worn and not to be a safe queen. Eat dessert first…life is uncertain. Cheers!

Maybe they removed them ahead of time to speed up the transaction.. Maybe they offered it to someone else who declined it, but I highly doubt that.
Thanks, I would love to get the steel Daytona, but I'm not keeping my hopes up too high. I still think it is out of reach for me, even now. I might need to go in for a gold Day-Date before they offer me the steel Daytona. Or I might just need to settle for a solid white gold Daytona.
Maybe. I think buying a gold DD and a modest piece of jewelry will now probably get me the Daytona. But they only get 1-2 steel Daytona per year, so it still might be another 12 months more.

I don’t know if they are totally forthright about how many they get, but the newest salesperson has been there for two years and never saw one in person until now.
@@sc1 or is that what she is telling you. I have been watching a lot of watch people on TH-cam. How do they get them? How do they stores on 47th Ave in NYC get them? (Grey Market). Either there's a shady side of Rolex selling to those people, OR The ADs sell to the Grey market 🤔 its very interesting what goes on. Nice ⌚
I’m suspicious about what my AD is telling me about supply. They might be overstating the scarcity of some models to placate me when I don’t get them, or make me feel better when I do actually get one. There is probably a good supply of these pieces, but the demand is stronger than the asking retail price. So the supply is shifting over to the gray market. I think it is due mostly to the individual customers buying from an AD then selling to the gray market, but also a few ADs selling back door directly to the gray market. Rolex is trying to crack down on both, while slowly raising their retail prices each year. IMO.
@@sc1 yes, I believe that as well. I think they are not telling the truth. They have to be able to get certain models in, but chose who they sell to. Normies might come in an flip pieces for a quick buck. Like purchasing a scratch off ticket. I can see the AD being discret about it. But still curious how all the watches got to the Grey market. I have only been learning about this since December
The white hang tag should tell you which size box Rolex intended you to get with the watch. It will either say ‘S’. ‘M’ or ‘L’ to designate small medium or large. The box your AD gave you might not be the correct one.
My white hang tag has M before the reference number at the top left, then it says Oyster L at the bottom right. What do those mean? I assume medium box and large Oyster bracelet?
@@sc1 The ‘L’ denotes the box size - your AD gave you a medium box instead of the correct Large box as denoted on the tag. I’m not sure what the M stands for at the top left - maybe google will have the answer??
Unlike the meteorite, the blue dial was never super-hot, even during the run up earlier this year. But still very difficult to get at the AD. If you think it will be a long term keeper, it makes sense to pay a little more over 45K. But if you might sell it on, try to get closer to retail.
It's weird that they took two links off the 6 o'clock side. Someone was being a lazy trog sizing the watch for you. Regardless, amazing GMT dude. Enjoy!

very nice. SC . where did this occur ? 3 weeks - lucky ROLEXER ! wear it in good health SC . ~ JDS/CT
small AD in PA. Very fortunate.
@@sc1 yes sir , you are. SC - enjoy the buy . ~. JDS/CT
I think the color of the bezel on the white gold is a bit different from the steel one, I’m I right ?
Thanks 🙏🏼
I'm not so sure. I was looking for any differences, but the bezel colors on my new white gold look just the same as my steel Pepsi from 2020. I will look closer and do another video for comparison.
@@sc1 🙏🏼👌🏼
Wooow you definitely doing a lot of money 🤯 wow ! What you are doing for living 🤯🤯🤯
excellent, well done. good job! you are established. Looks like ADs do get them. and sell to certain people
I don’t know if they are totally forthright about how many they get, but the newest salesperson has been there for two years and never saw one in person until now.
This is the ultimate Pepsi
It’s one of my all time favorites.
Archie luxury would be proud of you
The meteorite dial is way better in my opinion.
Do u still love it?
I still wear it, but I like to wear Patek Philippe more.
@@sc1 Im thinking of getting the white gold pepsi or the sub yellow 41 blue dial. Not sure hmmm
@@sc1 i bought a timex harborside it awesome.
I'm getting this one for sure
Good luck, it is totally worth it
Rolex can do better by making a Coke Bezel with a black dial for the white gold bracelet!!! Pepsi bezel and blue dial just doesn't cut it!!!
She is a beauty.
Waiting list from AD? 3 weeks is hard to believe, congratulations, this is hard to get piece
I had a small buying history from this AD. they agreed to pre-order this for me. even they, did not anticipate it would come in so soon.
super helpful. thanks
What was the price ?
retail price in 2021 ($1,100 less than the current 2022 retail price)
I think 45K is a good deal if tax is included and watch is new. If not, maybe to negotiate, or wait to see if prices come down
@@sc1 unfortunately tax is not included
Unlike the meteorite, the blue dial was never super-hot, even during the run up earlier this year. But still very difficult to get at the AD. If you think it will be a long term keeper, it makes sense to pay a little more over 45K. But if you might sell it on, try to get closer to retail.
Dream watch gents enjoy it you lucky ducks
Totally sized incorrectly. Links need to be almost even to clasp falls to the middle when dangling.
My next watch for syde
It's weird that they took two links off the 6 o'clock side. Someone was being a lazy trog sizing the watch for you. Regardless, amazing GMT dude. Enjoy!
I cannot believe he owns a white gold rolex and calls a jubilee bracelet oyster bracelet.
Thanks for viewing. This is an Oyster bracelet in white gold.
Check out my collection video: th-cam.com/video/RJ277T---j0/w-d-xo.html
You can be reassured I own Rolex on Oyster and Jubilee bracelets.
2001 yesterday 😂
Yep, I misspoke on that one!
