When ever I get a chance to watch you, Liz, present a lesson, I'm amazed. You make playing the fiddle in reach of an interested student. I started my journey in 1951 on a 3/4 violin, & have a passion for it @ 81. Your violin is an interesting fiddle. It has told me who made it,where it was made, & when. I acquired a "twin" to the one you have. WOULD love to send photos if you question what I'm saying. Actually, I won't hold my breath, your two busy. Keep teaching & bringing joy to those that want to learn!

Absolutely brilliant very clear thanks
Thank you. Great explanation
Very helpful. Thanks.
This is mega helpful. I've never heard anyone break this down this way! Thanks!
Ah, so glad to hear that, Jess. Hey, it works for me, and I'm really happy if it helps some other folks too!
Thanks Liz - I already have some tunes in mind to try this on!
Nice!! Have fun, Betsy! :)
thank you! it's hard to find a good explanation on how to play in 3rds (and sometimes 4th!) when playing harmony lines.
So for three part harmony do you use the note a third above the melody note? Thanks!
You can!
