The arm that comes out of the engine case connects to the carburetor through linkages and springs. When a load is put on the engine that arm actuates and increases the throttle on the carburetor.
Mine will start with starter fluid, but won’t run. I cleaned the carburetor and put fresh gas in it but still won’t run. It’s getting gas because I can loosen the bowl bolt and gas will start to pour out. Got any ideas on what could be wrong?
Take the bolt off holding the bowl assembly. That bolt is actually jetted. Soak it in lysol for 15 mins. Cover it completely. Then rinse in it steaming hot water. Dry it & re-install. She'll run like new!
Do you know what size spark plug ? Mine started but then it stopped and the flywheel isn’t turning. Really difficult to pull. Blah. About to buy a new one but I’m trying very hard to stick with it and fix it. Thnx.
This was so helpful. Have the same machine and it now works
Glad you got it running.
Great job Robby ! Funny what a little tweaking will do .
Yep
Good video- really helped me out
Glad it helped
What causes the throttle to actuate? My engine is not accelerating when I trigger the wand.

I believe you need a 13/16 socket to remove the spark plug.
Release the pressure on the hose and it will losses back up
What spark plug number did u use
Should be BPR6ES, but double check it to the one that is currently installed.
@@small_engine_repair thank you for the reply. I had the correct spark plug I just had a clogged carburetor bowl bolt.
Where did you purchase spark plug from?
Amazon
Do these have a fuel filter someplace?
Sometimes there is one in the fuel line.
