This video will show you how to install tow mirrors onto your 2019 - 2022 GM Silverado Sierra 1500 trucks (for specifics on fitment visit our website). This video will show how to remove the door panel and mount the mirrors. For wiring the lights to work as Running Light, Signal, Cargo, and Reverse, please reference a separate Boost Auto Parts video (links below).

The installation is fairly straightforward and does not require any special tools. This can be applied OEM tow mirrors for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. This harness can be used to install the following GM OEM part numbers 84575696, 84575698, 84688898, 84688899, 84753190, 84753189, 84709915, 84709914, 84709930, 84709929, and others.
This procedure is for 2019 2020 2021 and 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks, but for exact fitment please reference our website.

I saw people buying and installing these over a year ago, not sure why you are saying they hadn’t been released.
P.S. I know this post was 7mo old, but they were still out then. I think you have a slimy dealership if they can’t get them for you.

Following up on this - looked into it with my dealer (I'm just buying a 2021 At4) and they say because I have UKC as part of the pro-trailering package these towing mirrors will not be compatible. Does your wiring harness void this? The reason was part of the blind zone alert, surround vision and rear cross traffic alert would not be working properly. Let me know thanks. Would really like these mirrors
@@Dylan-SavedByGrace you need to get mirrors equipped 1:1 with the options you originally had. If you originally had BSM & 360 camera and install mirrors without them, you will get error messages.
We will have mirrors compatible with all of these features, but they're not yet available.

Will the lights work if my Silverado model doesn’t have the mirror lights?
You will need to do some wiring - we have all of the necessary videos just depends on your exact setup. Give us a call at 765-831-2830 and we can guide you to the right video/solution!
So the mirrors electrical won’t work without the separate harness? I have a 21 rst with just the electric adjust.
These harnesses are required to get the lighting functions working.

I did it without disconnecting the battery! And the lights won’t turn on should I try again and disconnect the battery first

My mirror stopped folding in and now where it locks in place it is way past where it should be. Is there a way to fix this?
Reach out to our team at support@boostautoparts.com for assistance. If they are our mirrors they will be able to be reset, otherwise it would be covered under warranty.
*reconnect battery and test mirror function BEFORE fully installing the door panel, then finish if everything works.
Yes, just make sure everything is plugged in otherwise you may trigger warning messages and check engine lights.
@@boostautoparts I would not be surprised to get a message that says: "You have engaged in DIY upgrades or maintenance and I am reporting you to GM for possible warranty violation."

Can you help right side mirror keeps blowing fuse for DRL lights at night left always on no issues it has a 3amp fuse I feel like that is to low

What socket/drive needed for a 7mm bolt?

@@boostautoparts thanks for the clarification, I had issues using 1/4 because it's slightly bigger in circumference from the bolt and 5/16 is too small for the bolt

You cannot install towing mirrors without the wiring harnesses.
if i dont wire in the lights what functions will my mirrors have? will my blind spot monitoring still work?
It depends on your trucks original configuration. We would recommend reaching out to our sales team at sales@boostautoparts.com with your VIN so we can see exactly how your truck is optioned.
I have a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trailboss LT with no power mirrors. With the harness, (I've already put my email in to receive update when tow mirrors are in stock) will this harness supply power to fold in also?
We will have an upgrade path to add the power folding feature to vehicles not originally equipped with the feature on our mirrors which are scheduled to release Fall 2022. Keep an eye on your email if you signed up to be notified - we will begin sending monthly updates in August.

What’s the difference between these mirrors fitment and oem mirrors fitment on a 2019 GMC Sierra elevation 1500?
This video is actually showing the installation of OEM towing mirrors. We are not yet offering the towing mirrors at the time of writing this (2/8/22)

Can you swap factory tow mirrors for normal mirrors? Would downgrading be plug and play?
It depends on the features of the small mirrors. Some of the pins have different functions depending on the functions of the mirror, so not neccesarily.

No reflash necessary with our harnesses - they are purposefully designed to avoid that.
@@boostautoparts My current mirrors have the lane change warning light and auto-fold as well. If the towing mirrors have these features do they work still with your harness without dealer intervention?

@@danielcisneros6641 No - those features are not things that can be added if not originally equipped. The only bonus features at this time would be running light, turn signal, and cargo.

2019 trail boss LT installed OEM tow mirrors no modified harness or RZY harness both ordered, I lost power mirror and window switch functions any thoughts ?
That should not be happening - those features should still work.
@@boostautoparts ya talked to my local dealer they are baffled I installed the small mirror back on with the OEM tow mirror on passenger and passenger side power and heat worked

My dealer told me these require 6hrs of programming. By this video that doesn’t seem true. ???

I absolutely HATE the new Silverado tow mirrors AND where they're mounted on the door instead of where they belong...in the corner part of the window.
Gotta contact the engineers at GM for that one!
