I've always thought that Benicio del Toro was an excellent actor and I was really happy that he finally had a franchise where he was the premier star. I just feel like it's long overdue and his performance as Alejandro, he just knocked it out of the park.
The actual story is brilliant. I love that final clip where the kids are playing soccer and the gun shots ring out in the background. Even though the bad guy met his end nothing really has changed for everyday people. They still have to deal with the violence of the drug trade.
The Border Crossing scene is brilliant. That is how you build tension for a big sudden payoff. The actual action sequence is incredibly short compared to just the build up which ramps up the anxiety.

First time watching yall's channel, really good reaction. This is a great movie and glad to see your reactions to it, you all gave good thoughts to it.
Also to the first scene with the house, it is believed that it was a cartel stash house, so it is used as a pass way from mexico to US where they would go through the drug tunnels to transport the drugs but they would also stash the bodies of people who either crossed them or knew to much. The reason it also explodes was because the cartel had a mole in the alphabet agency which people have theorized was the other agent with her, forgot the actors name.
Now to her reaction and her being all emotional, I believe it was because she was suffering from ptsd and just the buildup of compounding stress from the situation the discovery of all the shady shit they were doing and the clear and the unit completely ignoring ROE (rule of engagement) and other rules that should be followed and her realizing that she couldn't be able to say anything without being found "suicide by gun" and all of the things she would try to get out being covered up.
Finally to round it up, like I said liked your guy's reaction to the movie and thought yall had good points about it, also I do recommend the second movie it is really good. Ya got a new sub aswell, love the content

So, those cars of thugs on the bridge were just the distraction for the cop (who was the actual assassin) that Emily Blunt shot (thinking she was his target, since she was still in the car). They were likely not told the full details of who they were facing, because their entire purpose was to die.
But they weren't told that. And the setup of the bodies on the bridge let's us know what happens to gangsters who fail in Mexico. So, they had a choice: back down, and be cut up by the Cartel for not doing what they were hired to do, or just risk it, maybe fight their way out, and if not, at least die a quicker death. Their odds of taking on Delta Force meant a better outcome than going back into Juarez.

Great movie!! The director's idea was that as spectators, we have the same information as the police woman, and that we do not know what is happening, or what they are organizing, and discover together towards the end the secret of this mission, which was to infiltrate a hitman (sicario) in Mexico, to assassinate the leader of that drug cartel.

I felt like this guy didnt understood anything about the movie. The big deal with Emily Blunt character is that she is the typical american that lives on a civilized country and although she wanted to “defeat” evil she didnt want to lose her morals and at the send when she doesnt kill alejandro = colombian cartel, she feels like she betrayed her morals but at the same time she simpatizes with him.

sorry but it was a flat reaction. The disappointment that the movie was not spoon fed says it all.Not much about the amazing sound, the cinematography, the actors. The movie is a masterpiece of lights, sound and colors. Villeneuve, Deakins and Sheridan are geniuses.
