Thank you for talking about the Ben Affleck scene and the human aspect of war. I think a lot of issues like PTSD, while maybe not solved, can be abated if people considering combat roles in the military were better educated and mentally prepared for such tragedy.
We do a great job of training our troops to go to war, we suck at bringing our troops home. The military believes they do prepare us for war, they numb us to the killing of the enemy. I know that sounds horrible, but when the enemy is just that “the enemy” they are dehumanized which makes the job easier. We deal with different PTSD issues, for me it was seeing my men killed, for others I know it was killing the enemy which has never bothered me. I know some troops that are more effected by the destruction and civilian casualties they saw. Some that never left the wire, or saw anything that still hear the incoming alarms and wake in sweats trying to run to bunkers. PTSD doesn’t have a one way approach to train or educate against, we never know who’s gonna have it, or when they’re going to break. Destigmatizing PTSD in the Military, especially combat roles is the first step in truly helping the military combat PTSD effectively. Unfortunately PTSD has been, and still is a career killer, and unless you’re already in the senior ranks you can’t admit you have a problem because of you do you get put in staff positions. Staff positions, while necessary for career progression to a degree are also positions you put combat guys you don’t think can do well on the line. Troops with PTSD put in staff positions that aren’t seniors often don’t get required line leader time for career progression ending up moved around staff until they reach mandatory out dates. Even more often when combat troops get a diagnosis of PTSD they are immediately recommended for medical retirement, I fought that myself for six years. Remove the stigma and troops could get the help they need before PTSD takes over their lives, or dead ends their careers. Hell I think a combat leader who’s been through PTSD treatment and returned to the line would be better than just medically retiring the guy, they’d have the tools to identify and talk to their troops about the experience. They’d also know the hole that PTSD is and could help troops get out, unfortunately PTSD therapy is time consuming and costly so I don’t see that being an option for our current military models.

I love how the scene where they find the money and keep finding money, and then realise the entire house is filled with more cash than they can carry, is actually based on reality. Pablo Escobar was making so much money, and getting so much paper currency that it actually became a huge logistical problem for them. They had so much physical cash, that they could never spend all of it and ended up burying most of it. They actually lost money because it rotted away in the ground.
My explanation for the suppressor thing was always just that they had to source all of their stuff in country and not make it look suspicious, and getting a suppressor is way harder than people seem to think
I mean lets be real here , a suppressor wouldn't have helped one bit in that scenario . They are all indoors, every guard except the dude they dropped was already subdued. If they hadn't been taken care off they would be alerted either way by the shot. There are no guards outside the building so there is no point in being quiet anyway. What the dude on the right got right however is that they should've gone in and just dropped them all in the first place :)
It's easier to make a can than buy one... bare bones, you just need a steel tube and caps with the right thread pitch or a drill with the right diameter and a thread cutter), washers to create baffles bend them into 90 degrees to create the baffles), and patience. Or buy a solvent trap wherever you are, they aren't actually illegal in most of the world, since it's basically just a glorified steel tube. I’ve watched this movie multiple times and I have not served but dealing with life and death in life in general I can say that seeing affleck shooting and scooting and being “alive” and with a pull of one good placed round or even a lucky shot it can mean game over before you even know it. It is so hard to put that into words knowing we are all that fast from being here or not. Stay humble, live as it’s about to end and live life for more than yourself and when that time comes you won’t need to worry.

I absolutely love when they first enter the house, they shoot bad guy 1 in the leg, and you can see the annoyance on Bucks face lol. A classic eye roll of disgust
not sure if you guys are judging from the whole movie or just watching a few snippets of it, they do address the issue with suppressors, its weird they didn't bring that with them however they took down all the other cartel members outside and inside before taking out the last guy who walked out of the hallway. they used non lethal force in the beginning. although suppressors wouldn't be enough to be stealthy considering the 7'62 and 5.56 is going to alert all the people across the house even with suppressors obviously.
Suppressors would work in terms of keeping the concussion down. If you've ever fired a gun indoors, it is a massive boom even if you are trained, even if you have seen combat. That's why today, the US military seems to be shifting to suppressors for frontline infantry. It's still loud but better than deafening loud. I think in this situation, they didn't bring suppressed weapons because they were hoping to not getting into a shoot out
My only problem with the movie is why didn't they make 2 trips once they realized they were heavy and in the mountains outside the country. They could have landed made a pile went over then went back and carried on
My thing is how they landed that helicopter... By all means, the moment they lost that tail rotor, that was it, they could not possibly control that aircraft as well as they portrayed it. Ignoring the member jumping out of the cargo hook hold. How the "professional" pilot handled the aircraft was, actually, dog shit. He should've known to cut all fuel off before hitting dirt, turn off the engines and let the main rotor freewheel and let the main and tail landing gears take the G-Force landing. Considering its a Russian model Mi-8, it was more than capable of passing through the mountain pass too with the load it was carrying (which, considering it was hundred dollar bills, was relatively light compared to having 20's, 10's or even 1's), and if I were to apply the same standard of 32 G's of full actuation on a Black Hawk's dual stage main and tail landing gears, I wouldn't doubt that the Mi-8's could handle that, if not more considering that its a troop transport AND gunship. More importantly, it seems that, if we are accounting for the multiple "hops" it made during its crash, either the pilot or the copilot were grabbing the collective and ramming it up each time, which means they were increasing the rpm of the main rotor, which was preventing them from staying on the friggin' ground. The whole scene kind of rattled me because they did everything you're NOT supposed to do in a crash landing sequence.
And smiling while doing it. I would most likely have been focused with teeth gritted but thats me. Maybe slip a smile in if i thought we where going to live.

newer vehicles are lighter due to fuel economy, so they won't stop military grade rounds like they used to--some LS engines are aluminum blocks. As for a building takedown, you drop in from the top so your opponents feel there's an exit and don't fight cornered--but they run down onto the street and into your second squad. Suppressors trap the gases released by round discharge so they don't run into the wall of air outside the barrel at supersonic speed, but they don't slow down the rounds to subsonic speeds like a silencer. The comment on the fire is spot-on, you cuddle up for body warmth (but of course it's not macho for movies), but yeah the AR comment drops the ball.
Great Content buck! And obviously you made an honest mistake and it speaks alot that you didn't edit it out. It makes your audience have that much more faith in your integrity.

Please react to the Siege of Jadotville. Best war movie on Netflix, and probably an interesting case study also. If you haven't seen it, it involves conventional line infantry without big-army support, conducting a defensive action against a numerically superior mixture of contractors and indigenous forces, and also looks at how politics can influence military operations. You don't want to kill everyone in the house. Buck is thinking like a soldier with the backing of a government. Think more like criminal. If you shoot everyone and authorities connect it back to you then they are looking at you as a mass murderer. The more dead bodies you create the more motivation there is for the government to investigate and potentially extradite you.
A .22 caliber will go through a car door. We did ballistics in my police science class. We went up in caliber started with 22 to .223 to include 9mm and slugs and bird shot
Pretty sure pistols will get through both doors. It's just tinsheet and plastic. And I'm fairly sure 5.56 will also get through the engine bay. 7.62 and 308 run through front to back, easy.
OK OK OK . Now please watch HIGH RISK . The plot of this movie sounds a little similar to HIGH RISK . The plot of HIGH RISK is some info on a coke dealer in a South American country and where he keeps all his money is found . Some Americans plan on stealing all his cash . Well with the 40mph thing Im not so sure. I ejected at about 20mph a few times in my life without gear or soft ground so it doesnt sound too far off to me to be able to roll off a 40mph jump with protective gear and soft plants under your feet.
I had to watch the movie in bits and pieces. Because they did the commando community dirty. I only went as far as MEPS, but I was raised by a senior AF NCO, and even I know you would have some kind if contingency plan. Like safe houses you could go to if the hit went wrong, and people who might covertly take you out of the country while you're being hunted. And once they realized they had more money than the chopper could lift, they should have just asked their aviation contact for another bird. For one thing, the place they took off from should have been a relatively safe place for them to hunker down for a couple days, and for another, I'm pretty sure spec ops types are going to want bush planes to fly them out of country rather than a heavy chopper, which is way too conspicuous. The military even uses the kinds of small two engine bush planes that smugglers use, but more high tech. And they hire contractors who fly exactly the same kinds of planes as smugglers. All the post heist drama was stupid and unbelievable.
While in SF, I spent nearly a year in the Tri-Border Area (or "TBA") and another month and a half on top of that (those one and a half months were for a JCET). Originally, a movie about the TBA was going to be directed by Katherine Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty; The Hurt Locker). However, the tourism ministries of both Argentina and Paraguay disagreed with the script's concept of the TBA being not only a hub of narcotics and weapons trafficking, but also terror financing. So, in 2010, both countries denied her the opportunity to film on location for the project. Considering Bigelow's Oscar-winning accolades and penchant for gritty and generally realistic filmmaking, I think that movie would have been awesome. When I saw this rendition of the movie, I was disappointed within 15 minutes and never even finished watching the film.

Funny while I’m watching the vids at certain points I’m like aww shit people gonna be trying to correct the hell out of this dude lol. Either way great stuff man. God bless!
thank you! and yes they do its all good lol
I've seen 9mm ball smoke through both doors with no problem what so ever on a standard car.
Hey guys! You could make a review on Escape from Tarkov. It seemed to be pretty realistic!
There is a multi episode series filmed in live action on TH-cam that’s definitely worthy of a review
GOTTA break down, especially the end gunfight, in the movie The Veteran with Toby Keibel. Fuckin sick
A pleasure. Thanks!
Ya described a Lakota Fire Hole. Thats the one of several fire pits described in alot of survival books and bug out books
I love beers and breakdowns
Fuuuuuuuuuugggg yeah! This movie is badass, I've seen it several times
BMW M5 is a monster of a car. Nice ride!
Bro, I died harder than Ben Affleck in this at fat batman lololol
I like your review. Very tactically informative.
thank you
That Arrogant Bastard Ale will set you right. Good primer.
4:21 I think depends what mission is, Because if squad it’s search to eliminate a threat its more difficult because your vision is lower it’s more difficult for audio and the threat can ambush you in close gunfight
AR as in AR15 does not mean assault rifle. It means Armalight Rifle.
newer vehicles are lighter due to fuel economy, so they won't stop military grade rounds like they used to--some LS engines are aluminum blocks.
It makes your audience have that much more faith in your integrity.
thanks man! i will get things wrong for sure
Another great fucking video! Hands down my favorite channel on yt
thanks man!!
Great breakdown, I love the callouts of dumb movie script strategies like 'we'll shoot them, but definitely only one of them'. Would love to see a breakdown of Sicario (and the sequel if you like, but the first one's my favourite)!
on the list!
Yes!
Hey guys just wondering if you've reviewed "Proof of Life" or "Casualties of War!?
Please react to the Siege of Jadotville. Best war movie on Netflix, and probably an interesting case study also. If you haven't seen it, it involves conventional line infantry without big-army support, conducting a defensive action against a numerically superior mixture of contractors and indigenous forces, and also looks at how politics can influence military operations. I figured you'd probably have a lot to say about it.
No Outpost is
@@GrowYourOwn13 wasn't really a fan of outpost. Interesting situation, good effects etc, but didn't really do anything to make you care about the characters as people.
Def going to watch
Rain is always a massive advantage to conceal movement. There was a scene were one of them turned off the TV which was dumb.
Escape from Tarkov: RAID
Better than any movie released by pedowood or shitflix. Produced by a video game developer to promote their game of the same name, but you can tell the film was directed by someone who’s actually traded hate down range. Y’all wont regret it.
Love your channel “Buck” ❤️
thank you!
I feel like Ben in that scene when I play CSGO. The only one on the team who dies and because of a baiting teammate.
Dude AR does not mean Assault Rifle. It is ArmaLite Rifle. Assault rifle uses a selector switch to go from semi-auto to either full auto or burst.
Hey guys. AR means Armalite. Just so you know. Love your show. Semper Fi brothers!
Fat Batman 😂😂😂 I died 😂😂💀💀💀
This was a great movie. Great acting action and production.
Haha I know I am late to the party but AR in AR-15 stands for Assault Rifle had me laughing. But for real none of us know all these terms and its easy to make fun of someone for something you that they dont know. Keep putting out the good videos.
I seen you made a video about eod and talked about a guy named Travis my uncle was in the army and was a eod with many combat deployments and his name was Travis unfortunately my uncle committed suicide because of ptsd he was a major Travis Thompson just wondering if it was the same Travis he didn’t say very much about what he did please respond
I’ve seen plenty of dead people working ems/fire and that death look was accurate.
The whole point of this series is so you can write off your Netflix account…. I’m convinced 😂
Ahh I never seen this movie . Didnt know "fat batman" was in this too lol awesome vid yall ! 🤘🔥
Subscribed because of the explosion
Sounds.😂😂😂
After hearing you open up on Andy's podcast cleared hot really made me realize how much we have in common. Didn't serve, but would give a nut and a arm to today. The shit you been through is what I'm talking about, I'm not your son sister I just been through some pretty horrible shit myself, not kinetic war , but war with one's self if that makes sense. Really appreciate you taking about shit guy's like you really don't ever talk about. Much support from Pittsburgh!
Sob sister 🤦🤣
Triple Frontier kicked ass.
3:30 no, it means Armalite Rifle.
Buck said AR means assault rifle lol
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
AR = Armalite
A .22 caliber will go through a car door. We did ballistics in my police science class. We went up in caliber started with 22 to .223 to include 9mm and slugs and bird shot
I wish you brokedownn more of the in--house shooting scene.
Pretty sure pistols will get through both doors. It's just tinsheet and plastic. And I'm fairly sure 5.56 will also get through the engine bay. 7.62 and 308 run through front to back, easy.
I think the fire scene was more one of "there ain't shit up here to burn" than "oh we got it made, let's light up some fat stacks of Benjamins"
I like thay you guys full screen the scenes
What about blocking the road for the cars what are coming back from the church?
" great now I have to edit in sounds of explosions. "
" Ratta tada tada tada tada tada "
Bows head
OK OK OK . Now please watch HIGH RISK . The plot of this movie sounds a little similar to HIGH RISK . The plot of HIGH RISK is some info on a coke dealer in a South American country and where he keeps all his money is found . Some Americans plan on stealing all his cash . It has big name actors like James Coburn , James Brolin , Anthony Quinn , Lindsay Wagner , etc .
I haven’t watched this channel in a while but this a pretty cool channel
well thank you
Well with the 40mph thing Im not so sure. I ejected at about 20mph a few times in my life without gear or soft ground so it doesnt sound too far off to me to be able to roll off a 40mph jump with protective gear and soft plants under your feet.
not really keen to find out tho
Den of Thieves would be a good movie breakdown.
on the list!
Dakota fire pit have brain damage but still, remember something awesome video guys🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha jerry!!!
Wonder if buck knows hes in the presence of a legend of your caliber!! 😂
Youre AWESOME Mr J.

Hey buck can you break down video games specifically "clean house" from modern warfare?
You should make your comment longer.
Ar 15 doesn't mean assault rifle it means armalite rifle version 15. Assault rifle is anything with a stock, grip, separate maxwell and barrel that protrudes out past the upper and lower recievers
Love these videos!
“Fat Batman”…that’s a classic
Triple frontier scenario the only reason I'd want a background in being apart of an elite force..... maybe thats why I just went to a regular branch.. for that reason.....
The skill set isn't enough for me.... I need guys that want to be rich in the process.
I worked in Columbia for a couple of years when i was off active duty. I can day the beginning was very realistic especially when he took the grenade launcher. We had a running joke about plan b, this movie. I could show fng some pictures that would make you laugh.
Great episode dudes!
Please review Masters of the Universe movie from 1987. I think you'll love it. Perfect movie to watch 6 beers in lol
This whole movie just went from bad to worse every twenty minutes or so. Even as a civilian I had to do some serious suspension of disbelief just to get through it.
His reaction when dude shot his leg😂😂
I wish the end of these have more of a wrap up at the end about overall thoughts
This movie started with one of the best songs ever. Ends with a decent one too
great movie
Both Metallica songs 🤘 I went on a tangent about how cool the music was but I cut it out.
Abel! Hey man. Would've loved to hear that tangent
Maybe the vehicles were armored, especially if this was in Mexico were there is a great surge of armor upgrades in vehicles due to kidnappings.
PILLARS on a vehicle is one of the safest places to take cover. And luckily there are a few of them and you can Utilize them to your advantage. These suckers will stop .308's. Tires and rims don't do much.
I think your movie reviews are spot on. and this is off-topic. But can you pls tell me if in, "Lone Survivor" jumping off the side of a mountain, twice, is realistic? please.......
If you have to ask if something is realistic, it’s most likely not! And besides the whole Lone Survivor story if full of lies.
I found it extremely irritating how they kept jumping off the mountain… twice. WTAF?
AR does not mean assault rifle. I'm kind of surprised that a green beret does not know that AR stands for armalite rifle.
ArmaLite, or Armalite, is an American small arms engineering company founded in the mid 1950s in Hollywood, California. It ceased business in the 1980s. The company was revived in 1996
Why don't you guys finish the movie?
AR does not stand for assault rifle. Armalite Rifle is where the acronym comes from.
What brand of rifle is an "Assualt Rifle"?
