Hi everyone, If you would like to do the modification yourself please see the PDF instructions in the description. You can then use Part 1-4 videos for clarification. The videos are long and boring but they are just there to show you component placement and values. Thanks
Hello yes it's possible with adjusting the capacitors slightly on the pre-drive stage. Well with this mod it will cover 24-30Mhz but tuned more for 27 and 28Mhz. On 29.600Mhz you'll get about 3.5 watts output like it is now. 3.5 watts and 5 watts is nothing you will notice much in signal strength really.
Hello, j'ai lu que vous pouvez faire vous même les modifications sur mon UK-V5. Quelle est la procédure pour vous envoyez mon UK--V5 et vous payer. Merci.
Yes that would be nice but I suppose their main market is VHF and UHF. Most it will go down to is 18 Mhz unless there is another radio chip that will cover all of HF as well. The other issue is the filter section which will take up a bit of space so radio will be double the size.
Think im going to wait for China to produce the pcb version that only requires you to remove a few parts . Then you just solder in the completed mod pcb.😂

Have ya tryed or will ya try the same for different bands and even used it on SSB yet?
EXTRA!! I hope to test your beautiful work! Best regards and thank you so much dear friend!
No problem hope it helps you
It looks really good 👌
Is it possible to modify this machine to transmit at 29.6MHz and have a transmitting power close to 5 watts?

Hello Duane. Saw 1 to 5 vidéo. Very Nice. It looks like easy to do. 😂.
Give it a try my friend 😉
@@DuanesMindmaybe. Need for this, books of capacitors mix, resistors mix and a screwdriver for diameter coils. 👍
@@1cristojojo1 If you can change LED's then you can do this 👍
@@DuanesMindyes. I will try.
改完后UV段是否可以正常发射
No as the U/V filter section is removed. Only RX on UHF
pity qs dont bite and start making a hf model.

@@DuanesMind 6m or 4m would be nice also as there is a gap in cheap radios for these bands.
@@nandrews8412 It's doable and I'm busy working on it.

Would be nice or they just make another board version already done considering how cheap these things are.
