I think people often forgot that for Makoto to ascend, the remaining god, Ei (assuming others dead or hid outside Teyvat like Orobaxi) had to die, at least physically like Andrius. After Ei gave up her physical body, I think it was mentioned in some book that Makoto forged some sort of vessel for her sister, probably a ghost or a shadow, to possess, which might be why only in Inazuma there live more than one god, as the other is considered dead thus allowed by Celestia (if they were actually knew). It might be what inspired Ei to have her replacement in the form of puppet, because she, too, is using one. It is probably why she is a wooden thing infused with electro, shes a puppet (she often attend archon meeting in place of her sis, being her kagemusha. i think she mention that in her voiceline). My headcanon is Ei’s puppet body wont last long especially with its maker died, so she decided to make a new, stronger one, with addition of AI😂. And she might be a literal shadow, being a mere ‘shadow’ of her older self. In some nations, like in Mondstadt, the gods chose to reject the position of archon, which then allowed Venti to ascend as one without waging any wars with the other gods. In Liyue and Inazuma, however, most, if not all of the gods vied for the position of archon. Thus, Zhongli and Ei had to battle many gods and ended up triumphing over them for the position of archon. In Ei's case, she did it for Makoto since she is her kagemusha and was always the one fighting battles in Makoto's name. Because this was how it went in Inazuma, gods killing and dying for the position of archon, Ei, too, had to die so that her sister could ascend as an archon. So she killed herself. And the rest is as followed. Secondly, she wasn't into the politics of ruling Inazuma simply because it was never her role as the younger twin and her sister's kagemusha, just like how Makoto never once fought any battles to slay gods and protect Inazuma-simply because that wasn't her role. the original three moons were RBG red blue and green. Theres a little hint to this in a chamber in Enkanomiya on the central island. Three coloured crystals used to start up the sun mechanism. Before sun and moon is only talking about before sun, the moons were there already lending colour to the world. Nahida is obviously the moon grass scion. We know there is a frostmoon scion and Ei is some sort of electro moon scion. Hence all the eyes present in her and nahidas kits and general sort of angelic themes with both of them as well. Its quite possible the moons had a light and dark side, so that there would be 2 eminations for each moon i.e 6 total eminations coming from them. This ties back to a lot of alchemical stuff referencing inner and outer truths and divine opposites combining but yeah. Ei is an emination of one of the old moons

I mean, how could she not? she's one of the oldest and the God of Wisdom and she even knew about the prophecy of Fontaine whereby even the Fontainians and Neuvillette did not know the full extent.
Rukkhadevata also probably wasn't referencing the Shogun puppet since Ei only started making puppets (or at least ones that she was planning to inhabit) after Rukkhadevata died.
Now that you mentioned it, the " Moon sisters are related to or are dragons"! I remember seeing the JP dub of the lore of the unreleased Morax's series weapon "Dreams of Dragonfell" 4 years backand how the dragon king, aka AZHDAHA, dreamt of going to the lunar palace with the comrade he followed( MORAX) in his slumbering dream! I wonder what connection Morax or Azhdaha have with the moon trio!

What if, they are youkais that gain conscience after existing for so long, like that character from the past Inazuma event? When I read the description of the Sumeru glider, that was the first thing that occured me. Maybe they are a wooden object, that was infused by draconic power and gain conscience. Maybe they were some puppet, toy or favorite object from the Electro Dragon Souvering. And after his demise, gain life as Makoto and Ei. Or.. who knows, maybe the Heavenly Principles imprisioned the soul of the Electro Dragon Souvering in some wooden objects... Henceforth, while, he cannot reborn, like Neuvillette.

But this one is ok I guess! some corrections : - Raiden no Inazuma Tono is in fact both Ei and The Shogun, you can see that each run you do, if the one you have in front of you has a sword its Ei, if its a poelarm it is The Shogun. So this is a form both can take and it makes perfect sense as she said it herself, she is the essence of that is "Raiden Shogun" so shes assuming on a form, Ei did or can do. Shes the Guardian of Eternity, eternity being interchangeable with Ei like with "Eternity's Familiar" in the description of Miko. - shes also closely tide with the concept of stars, dreams, destiny, wishes, time and remembrance solidifying her ties to angels or perhaps like you theorized, a raced closely tied to them. - Lots of Eye and Horns imageries on her and in Tenshukaku (Tower of the Heavenly lord), her skill and the Chakra Desiderata (hundred eyed will of wishes), her burst that cut the fabric of reality and cute through time and space.Shes died yet shes alive, the description of her skill saying that she calls uppon the stars themselves to aid her in battle etc... There is so many similarities and designs parallels with her, seelies, dragons, traveler, the shades etc... for it to be a coincidence tbh, we need more lore about her. I mean we got extension of Childe and skirk lore in 4.X so one can hope!

and y'know what- screw it I'll just list all of the stuff I've compiled for Ei and Venti here-
- on the sides of their heads they both have a "half of a set of horns" ( Ei's "horn"(?) and Venti's leaf )
( a little bonus design similarity detail relating to this is how both Ei and Venti also have flowers in their hair on the same opposite sides as where their "horns" would be- )
- Venti has been depicted with doves before while in the Raiden Shogun's Character Trailer- she happens to be depicted with a raven-
( bonus points as this adds to the Yin Yang argument but this time- with Ei / The Shogun(?) symbolizing the black bird, and VENTI symbolizing the white bird )
- them both happening to have similar eye patterns within their playable model's eyes ( this also matched Scaramouche / Wanderer )
- they both have braids in their designs! ( I know Venti's appearance was modeled after the Nameless Bard, but- I feel there can still be an argument there-
with the MANY OTHER similarities + differences they have from each other- )
- based on Venti's role within the battle within Old Mondstadt and Raiden Ei's role within the Archon Quests- they would be in opposing roles; Venti fighting to the freedom of the people, and Ei attempting to stagnate her nation for the sake of their safety and preservation
( this works well BOTH in considering the Yin Yang argument, AS WELL as the roles of the Fujin and Raijin, as they are described as CONSTANTLY being in conflict with each other- )

- Raiden no Inazuma Tono is in fact both Ei and The Shogun, you can see that each run you do, if the one you have in front of you has a sword its Ei, if its a poelarm it is The Shogun. So this is a form both can take and it makes perfect sense as she said it herself, she is the essence of that is "Raiden Shogun" so shes assuming on a form, Ei did or can do. Shes the Guardian of Eternity, eternity being interchangeable with Ei like with "Eternity's Familiar" in the description of Miko.
- shes also closely tide with the concept of stars, dreams, destiny, wishes, time and remembrance solidifying her ties to angels or perhaps like you theorized, a raced closely tied to them.
- Lots of Eye and Horns imageries on her and in Tenshukaku (Tower of the Heavenly lord), her skill and the Chakra Desiderata (hundred eyed will of wishes), her burst that cut the fabric of reality and cute through time and space.Shes died yet shes alive, the description of her skill saying that she calls uppon the stars themselves to aid her in battle etc...
There is so many similarities and designs parallels with her, seelies, dragons, traveler, the shades etc... for it to be a coincidence tbh, we need more lore about her. I mean we got extension of Childe and skirk lore in 4.X so one can hope!
