Hi there! Thank you! I appreciate the comment. I just purchased the global shutter module and a wide angle lens as an upgrade. I'm thinking I may need to try out some of the shields and lenses as well. Arduino has Nicla Vision, it's a relatively new stand alone camera that is smaller and has some features that openmv doesn't have but I haven't purchased that one yet. Over all, I am pretty happy with openmv quality and extensive library. The option for upgrades is also nice. I hope the new shutter and lens has a crisp, clean image. I still have more to see with openmv cam but that's my take on it so far.👍

Hello, I was studying with an openmv h7 plus and I ended up discovering your video. I liked it a lot, but I have a question that is how to create an executable so that I don't have to start from the computer? Help me, please!

hey there! Sketches are save as main.py. By default, the OpenMV Cam executes main.py automatically if it's in its root directory when powered on. Can you share your code? I'll do my best to help out 👍

Just discovered your channel, and I really like the content that you make, keep up the great work! How did you get so knowledgable in this type of stuff?

Hi Adam! Thank you for the encouragement. It has been a hobby for about 4 years or so. in 2019 and 2020 I spent a lot of time reading books on Arduino, C++, Python, Linux/command line, playing coding games with the kids, and going through the programming and coding courses on Freecodecamp.org. It's still a hobby, I have never had any formal training or anything. I probably work with electronics most days and don't stop till i can figure out how to complete a project that I started. The goal now is to incorporate 3d printing into arduino projects by learning 3d modeling in blender. I enjoy learning and I've always been pretty patient and determined, that's a recipe for learning something. I post the code for each video on the Facebook page.
If you're new to Arduino, go into the IDE and open some example code that comes with libraries you download. You can learn a lot that way. Also, use www.arduino.cc/reference/en/ for help. If you get stuck you may find answers at www.w3schools.com/cpp/default.asp - it's a great place to learn c++ when you're starting out. I'll have a video up in a few days. I would like to post more videos in 2024. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on here or the Facebook page...always happy to help. Good luck on your next project. Take care!
