Sono italiana e questo video parla molto di quello che ho vissuto io. Sono nata in una famiglia cattolica ma poi mi sono allontanata perchè per me era solo una religione in più e Dio qualcuno di lontano.
4 anni fa invece ho capito che quello che Dio vuole con noi è molto di più di una religione fatta di regole... ma è una relazione tra padre e figli e figlie, un'amicizia.
Non è la religione a cambiarti la vita... bensì una relazione con Dio!
Dio vi ama e solo aspetta di conoscervi❤

You just have an appreciation to a secular Jesus Christ figure, you don't love the real Jesus Christ who is alive because he ressurected after three days for being nailed on the cross and dying. He will come again, are you ready?

Hope you really find Jesus Christ as your sufficient Lord and Savior following the words of the Bible, not mythological creatures the Hindu religion tell you to worship.

I LOVE Italian people. I am an Indian and I see similarities. Italians are so family oriented, they do everything with love in their hearts. Their food is so delicious because they cook with that love. They are just so fun and love their accents. On Twitter, 2 beautiful Italian women are following my account and they are the BEST. They give me cooking advice, too. People think I look Italian, too. That’s a bonus.😁

I am Greek, living in Greece, and I have to say that the Greeks match almost perfectly with the Italians in this topic.
I visit Greece quite often and I find attitudes towards religion changing a lot to what it used to be, especially amongst the younger population. They have less of an interest in God and religion than the older generation.
@@aivalistavro , thanks for your comment. What you say it's true. However, few people of the older generation believe and act the way the Christ wants. They tend to go to the church, because they have to or because their parents taught them so, and not because they have understood what the Orthodoxy really is. Not all, but most yes.

What a difficult topic! As a priest, I am discouraged by the number of those who leave because of behavior (better, misbehavior!) of believers, including clergy. Nothing new. At base, people shape God in their own image rather than the reverse. Pope Francis addresses this often. The work of changing hearts, and thus the Church, is the work of lifetimes. I appreciate the insights of those you interviewed. Bravi!

It isn't difficult topic at all. It boils down to whether they have good reasons to believe whatever they believe and I have never met anyone who would have. Usually they present bunch of nonsense or arguments flawed on logic grounds, and when pushed they resort to faith, but faith is useless because anyone can believe in anything. It isn't reliable path to truth. There are more than 45 thousand Christian denominations alone.

@pavel9652 I think the problem is not that Christian people do not have good arguments, but that most people in the world doesn't. Neither do atheists. Most of atheists I have known are atheists just because of baseless disbelief, or because it is not easy to verify the content of Bible through our limited senses. But history of science has shown the fact we do not have the right tools to check out something does not mean it is fake. An Australian aboriginal has not the tools to deduce the Earth is round. From its point of view, using only its limited senses, it is evident Earth is flat.
Most people, Christians, atheists, and everything else, have not great arguments. But some others have.
By the way, you may have noticed my English is a bit broken. Sorry, it is not my native language, but I try my best.

Sono americano, ma d'origine italiano e austriaco-tedesco. Mia mamma era nata a Roma ma non era italiana; mio pappa e cento percento italiano (la sua famiglia sono venuti di Puglia, ma era nato in Brooklyn). La maggior ragione che ho deciso a imparare italiano e perche voglio dire agli italiani dell'amore di Cristo per loro. Sono molto felice che voi abbiate fatto questo!

Di grazia, la natura, gli animali, l'universo, il cervello umano, chi li ha creati? La scienza, la filosofia, Einstein, Carlo Marx, Nietsche, o..... Dio? Oppure sono nati, la natura, ecc., da soli? E la coscienza umana, da dove arriva? Comunque il video mostra il (solito) equivoco: il titolo chiede "gli italiani credono in Dio?", e le risposte vanno a finire sulla "religione" sulle "religioni", le quali sono unicamente dei modi di manifestare il credere in Dio.
Innanzitutto complimenti per questo fantastico video. Gli intervistatori e le persone intervistate sembravano simpatici.

La maggior parte degli austriaci sono cristiani cattolici (non praticanti) o sono atei.

Vorrei postare un commento un po' "a latere" dell'oggetto del vostro video ma che potrebbe contribuire a fornire un punto di vista su cui riflettere. Da piccolo sono cresciuto in una famiglia italiana "mediamente praticante": andavamo in chiesa la domenica, e ho anche frequentato la scuola elementare in un istituto cattolico di suore (anni '70 - sono "diversamente giovane" ;-)
Mi sono gradualmente allontanato dalla Chiesa nel corso dell'adolescenza e oramai da quarant'anni non pratico più, tuttavia nel mio lavoro ho occasione di frequentare molti istituti cattolici, cosa per nulla inusuale per chi vive e lavora a Roma. Ricordo che quando ero fanciullo, preti e suore erano praticamente tutti italiani: il mio Parroco era romano, e la suora che era stata mia maestra nelle elementari bresciana. Ora, nel 2024, trovare un prete italiano è diventato più difficile che trovare un quadrifoglio; una suora italiana praticamente impossibile. Negli anni ho visto in chiese e conventi cambiare di volta in volta la nazionalità dominante che, al momento, per quanto riguarda le suore è diventata la Corea (anche se nessuno se lo aspetterebbe).
Di fatto, questo testimonia che al giorno d'oggi pochi maschi italiani scelgono i voti e praticamente più nessuna femmina. Le ragioni di questo potrebbero essere molteplici, e sicuramente non si esauriscono con una "laicizzazione" della società italiana, ma di fatto questa laicizzazione esiste ed è innegabile

Sono cristiano e mi sforzo di mettere in pratica quotidianamente le ditte e i mandamenti di Gesù Cristo perché voglio onorare il padre e ringraziarlo per il sacrificio di suo figlio. Lui ha sofferto molto però darci una speranza e per quello voglio mostrare il mio ringraziamento sincero
Sono cresciuto nella fede protestante. Ma lo scorso anno ho lasciato la chiesa, perché non credo di più. Secondo me, le religione hanno causato male, discriminazione e guerre. È anche possibile essere una brava persona senza la religione.
So, che per molte persone è importante di credere in Dio, è un aiuto nella vita e rispetto questo.

Qui in Paraguay il caso è simile all’Italia. Essere cristiani, specificamente cattolici, fa parte della nostra cultura. Sebbene oggi siano presenti anche altre religioni, è la religione cattolica a predominare. Anche se non siamo stati coinvolti in guerre con altri paesi a causa della religione, ma piuttosto a causa dell’avidità, la religione era qualcosa di molto importante su cui le persone facevano affidamento e continuano a farlo. Molti dicono di sì, ma le loro azioni riflettono qualcos’altro. Loro dimenticano. E come ha detto la signora, lo sono a modo loro e quando gli fa comodo.

Growing up in Melbourne in 1970s and 1980s, I went to school with many Italians. My family was from Greece. Religion played a very big part of our lives. I do think this is changing very much amongst the younger generations. I generally find here in Melbourne or when I visit the Mediterranean that many younger people don't believe in God or follow religion.

I believe in God and would call myself a Protestant Christian. The majority religion here in the USA USED to be Christianity. More and more it now appears to be atheism.

Sono umanista e mi sarebbe piaciuto ascoltare di più riguardo al percorso dell'unica persona in questa intervista che si è definita non religiosa (a parte la ragazza incerta).
Concordo con i ragazzi che dicono che oggi molte persone non si pongono domande, tuttavia credo che in Italia (il mio paese) ci siano sempre più persone che si allontanano coscientemente dalle religioni (strutturate o meno) o non vi si avvicinano, perché prevale in loro l'idea che non esistono dei, ma solo leggi della natura, e che ciò che ci può unire tuttə è proprio la nostra comune esperienza di esseri umani, da vivere praticando la gentilezza e l'ascolto attivo. Siamo in tanti, anche in Italia, 😊

Di solito chi è ateo come me qui in Italia è cresciuto andando a messa e quando ha cominciato per mille motivi a farsi qualche domanda sul realismo si quanto si dichiara di credere, anziché glissare e magari smettere semplicemente di andare a messa, e quindi di sentirsi dire che crede nella transustanziazione o resurrezione, ci pensa un po' chiede in giro e non trova nessuno che dia risposte sensate le uniche sensate vengono dalla parte pragmatica/non soprannaturale e alla fine la logica dice di essere agnostici e il cuore di essere atei.

Il Trimurti indiano non è una Trinità, perché la Trinità significa 3 persone in 1 Dio, mentre il Trimurti induista è un Pantheon maggiore di 3 manifestazioni divine.
I'm from the U.S and I believe (not sure) that the majority of the religion here is Protestant. I am Catholic though, and believe fully in our Faith--no "cafeteria Catholics" for me! (Picking and choosing what you want to believe.) I find it really sad that Italy has all these wonderful saints and shrines and yet the belief out there is extremely shallow. It's no wonder that those who don't believe find those who do to be hypocritical. I hope they can find the true Catholic faith where they won't look at it is as hypocrisy.

Mi ha sorpreso quanto siano poco religiosi gli italiani. Penso che la persona che ha detto che gli italiani sono religiosi in modo ipocrita e quella che ha detto che sono religiosi solo culturalmente abbiano spiegato meglio la situazione. Ancora non conosco nessun italiano che vada in chiesa. Ne conosco molti che rifiutano completamente l'ipotesi di Dio.
Quello che ho trovato davvero divertente nel video erano i Testimoni di Geova con i loro stand di "corso biblico gratuito". Li avevamo anche negli Stati Uniti. Non ti disturbano mai. E raramente, se mai, mescolano i sessi quando presidiano i loro stand.
Magari Milano non è il posto giusto per fare questa domanda.

In Italia c'è un'ignoranza paurosa, all'interno della quale l'ignoranza in materia religiosa spicca. La religiosità tradizionale è stata rimpiazzata da un insieme di preconcetti anticlericali che non ha eguali al mondo.

In italiano esistono tanti testimoni di Geova… purtroppo loro sono molto attivi,,, si trova ovunque. ogni tanto suonano il campanello di casa mia per evangelizzare. ma io essendo protestante,mi fa veramente molto da pensare della loro passione. perché noi Cristiani dobbiamo essere come loro.

I am Italian and although Catholic because I grew up in a Catholic family, I must say that I feel agnostic. I see no logical reason why there is a "god" or in any case a supreme being who created the universe. Then it is clear that my being human, and therefore my survival instinct, make me "hope" that there is actually something that goes beyond death... but it is only a hope.

I am a Moroccan immigrant in Italy. I was born a muslim at first by chance; because of parents who taught me Islam, once I became an adult , I learnt a lot about Islam and other religions and was convinced rationaly and emotionly that Islam is the way. I have a big respect to all religions and beliefs and even to atheism. Each one has the right to believe in whatever he/she wants . It is God who judges us by the End. People will not ask you how much religious or non religious you are, but how good or bad you are to them and to the other creautres. Yoir prayers are between you and God and your deeds between you and people.

Avete intervistato poche persone giovani, ma nella mia bolla di 30enne che abita in una città del nord buona parte dei coetanei che frequento e conosco è quantomeno non praticante, spesso non credente, non raramente anticlericale.

I believe that in Italy, being a catholic Christian is just for tradition and culture without knowing the actual true meaning and foundation of the faith, I believe that the main priority should be parents and Catechisms focusing more on teaching a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus and how his death saved us from eternal damnation and inevitable sin, following with sacraments and catholic rites(even though I believe that not all are necessary) , I believe that majority of these have made most of Italians too "sacramental" , as they are carrying these out just for the sake of it , not knowing the full foundation of our faith. IN SHORT AS WE SEEK JESUS SPIRITUALLY, HE WILL REVEAL HIS PRESENCE TO US AND GIVE US PEACE, SLOWLY CHANGING AND SHAPING US TO BE BETTER CHRISTIANS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HIM(THE SON) AND HIS FATHER, WHO ARE ALL ONE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
From my pow the more you explain what's "behind" the sacraments, the more Italians will leave the church. We're quite pragmatic and for most people it's ok to say I believe in god but they don't really delve into the doctrine, they think they perfectly know what's right and what's wrong without a priest a book or anything else needs to explain it to them
La vera religione è ortodossa. È stata fondata da nostro Signore Gesù Cristo e l'Ortodossia professa la fede in Gesù Cristo in modo corretto. Solo attraverso l'Ortodossia si può essere salvati. Il cattolicesimo si separò nel 1051 come religione separata. Quindi, diventa ortodosso per salvarti!
Comunque si può credere in Dio senza credere in alcuna religione, tanto per farlo presente.
