the A10 truly is depicted accurately, doing most of its kills by lugging AA missiles and getting shot due to slow speed.

What a beautiful intro, such a masterpiece.
LAV-AD is 100% my favorite US tech tree vehicle, there were incredibly few moments where I was dissapointed with it or where I raged while spading it, it's pretty good at anti-CAS and it feels fantastic to get tank kills with it.

Anyway a suggestion for CAS (maybe you already know this): when you want to pitch up after a BBRRR run in the A-10 I suggest you to pitch up using the key instead of the mouse pointer. The default key for this should be S . Doing so you pitch up at maximum (it's like if you immediately move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen). Sure you will lose speed, but you can also try better to recover from a step angle of attack even if you are low

Just a quick tip for anyone playing higher tier CAS. If you are firing at someone below your flight path, and you are anywhere near the ground, turn off your cannon ballistic computer. It will change where your reticle is to show you where the rounds will hit on the ground below, now the plane itself. The exception to this rule, is if you are using top top tier planes with radar such as the f16 or mig-29. Those will actually give you a lead reticle on the plane you are locked onto if you have that same computer turned on. To confirm the difference, the easiest way is to check the vehicles radar (if it even has one) in the x-ray view in hanger.

Now imagine if 25+mm rounds had gotten airburst option as that was proven to be technologically viable caliber for said tech for over a decade. Imagine LAV-AD with airburst 25mm and guided Hydra 70? Just need to replace Stingers with something more potent...
Technically speaking DAPRA(DARPA?) had proven feasibility of guided 12mm bullets for a decade, but we don't see those neither in Ace Combat, nor in other "near future"(and not so near) fiction.
We need more fiction that uses autocannons with guided airburst gyrojet ammo. And there is nothing wrong with making said gyrojets ramjets too;)

It’s been 60 something pen for a while. When I got the LAV-AD I was planning on only playing it as it looks sick and it’s SPAA and fun gun. Absolute joke of a tank. You only run into Soviet MBTs and it is impossible to kill them. I’m just lighting them up and you do no damage.
