As someone who owns a 14 gmc... Sat radio has hooks in where when a vehicle gets a new registered owner, they'll get free service for a month or 2 in the hopes they'll buy a subscription. If you don't, they mail you relentless with their offers trying to get you to sign up. They've done that to me twice, on my 06 chrylser (even after I explained it has a aftermarket head unit now) and my 14 gmc. As for crawdad's truck, that era of truck, watch the ac condenser, they get a pin hole on one of the top corners. I suggest changing the transmission fluid to the next generation fluid. The torque converters tend to shell and take the trans with it. Ideally, you could hook him up with a aftermarket torque converter and he'll be in better shape. Otherwise the only issue I've had is the starter died, and I broke the pigtail, which came back to bite me about a year later. Finally had to solder a new one in last year. Happy New Years!

3.3L v6 is prolly the best part of that rig--- tried and true... run forever, will eventually start to leak like a sieve, but whatever.

Not sure what year Craw's truck is but when some of the electronics went to 5-G
things like OnStar, satellite phone, directions and connections, were cut off for those who had 3-G.
I miss the directions and connections a lot.
Satellite phone was helpful when cell service wasn't available.
Someone needs to come up with an upgrade/adapter (3-G to 5-G) that will restore that service to the older models.
The cut off is like they're taking back something that we paid for making it useless.
