I'm learning a lot from this series Karen. I love how you explain how to fix up boo boos nd why certain tools work best in various scenarios. Thanks for the subtitles as I'm watching and drawing while hubby listens to tv, so this makes the class accessible to everyone. Your clear instructions are making stacks of sense and helping me to work out what I was doing the hard way, and less successfully, with fairies before. Bite sized chunks are the way to go - you're super encouraging too. A great teacher and down to earth. Love the family and pets involvement:)

Holy crap, the pig nose was so hard. The horse nose just didn't look right no matter what I did to it. I officially hate noses. I'll stick to the three quick noses I can draw. Realism is just not my thing.

Hi Karen. I love this video for two reasons. (1) You keep it real. Some noses are hard and you're not afraid to tell people when you struggle with specific aspects of a drawing. The great thing is, most of my struggles are yours and when you fix them (because you always do), it teaches ME how to fix them. (2) I learned how to draw noses from you better than the "master teachers" on TH-cam. Some of the "tutorials" out there just overcomplicate things for beginners and your teaching style is perfection. I was trying to draw a nose of someone looking slightly up. I looked up video after video and just couldn't do it. Then I literally said to myself, "Let me just look up Karen Campbell, she MUST have something on noses. And I know however she teaches it, I'll understand it." And sure enough after watching this video of the third nose, which is EXACTLY what I needed, my drawing was perfection - at least to me 🤭. Thanks Karen for all you do. You're an amazing teacher.

I started out on the 2nd one it was coming along pretty good. i could see the eyes forming so with my smudge stick I put them in just for fun and it looks pretty good not perfect but good.. I was having fun. thanks for these videos..have a great day...

Just wish I would start what got me into trying to draw... and thats the fairies 🧚♀️ just nervous cause that is a "class" and even though I'm 53 I still want to get an "A". I use the module raiser is very easy in the hands, very flexible and eraser just the right amount depend of the pressure we put on it, and work like jumps around if you understand my meaning

Hi Karen, I'm drawing along. Please keep doing real time. The commentary is really helpful. I wanted to take Art as an option many years ago but my art teacher at school said I had no talent and I wasn't allowed to continue with Art. Having recently come across your channels, I have started drawing, made an altered art journal from an old book and ordered gesso, acrylics and matte medium for mixed media. Thanks for your videos.

Very helpful! I keep having WAY TOO MUCH OF A GAP, between the bottom of the nose and top of the lips. Even though I’m following the guidelines. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but it’s something I’m not doing right with the bottom of the nose. Even still, I’m shocked at my improvement after just a few classes at Awesome Art School!!! 💓

Best one for me #4. Worst one was 1 and 2. Noses are my least favorite to draw. None were especially good. Guess I know what I need to work on !
