  • We rent a car and circle the island of Sao Miguel, an island in the middle of the Atlantic. Sao Miguel is covered in rolling green hills with grazing cows and stunning views, if you get a clear day. The island also has several natural hot springs to enjoy at very affordable prices.

    Hello there! Local here! The free hotspring is in Ponta da Ferraria, close to where you had that Sete Cidades hicking. Ponta da Ferraria is a hotspring that is a natural pool in the shore and yes its free, its the only one that is free. The tours in the tea factory I believe its only for groups that have tour guides, they dont have tour guides there giving anyone who goes there tours, you just walk in and look for yourself. The purple tea is in Furnas, where you had your hotspring bath, there's a place there that does that. In the tea plantation is normal water only.

      Wow. Thank you for all the information! So sad we were in the area where they served the purple tea and missed it. We will pin your comment for others to see so that don't make the same mistakes we did. Thanks for watching and for all the correct info!

      Great information. I would like to ask you guys what was the name of the rental cars? Because is pretty cheap. I looked online and for one week you pay about 600 euro for a car . Very expensive . It s amazing that you paid just $112 . Wow!! Have fun guys!

    Hey! The purple tea you guys were talking about is made with an ironish water of Furnas, there are many water sources around the Caldeiras and there is a hot one where you can bring mugs and your own tea so you can make it there. The tea turns purple because of the minerals of the water. :)

      We were so close and missed it! Not sure how we missed that detail but we will make sure we are prepared next time. Thanks for the info!

      O Churrasco. Not sure how well their chicken compares to others in the area but as you can see from the video, we did not leave disappointed. Thanks for watching!

    Ummmm, if the tea was brewed with water from the hot springs...did you find any tiny lobsters in your tea?! LOL

  • @JCMM2
    @JCMM2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Around the hot spring they had a restaurant that served good food. Also cocido which is made at Furnas in the hot volcanic grounds

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like we should not have ventured too far away from the hot springs to find food. It was hard to stick to one town when each one was so beautiful to see.

    • @JCMM2
      @JCMM2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SOSASATSUNRISE oh I know, but for those watching right in that town you find amazing food like cocido . My husband and I go as soon as they open, early early morning , it’s empty usually and we have lunch always the same cocido lol and then we explore the near areas. Always something new to see. This island is under rated most people don’t even know about this Gem, nice that it is getting exposure.

    We're going there in a few days!! Nice video! How did you guys find a rental car at that price for 8 days 😱😱 that's an insanely good price. Almost sounds too good to be true.. but if it's true and you can hook me up that'd be very nice... :)

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha we will never give an inaccurate price! We rented through Discover Cars and may have gotten lucky with off season pricing and booking the day before. Our credit card also gives us free insurance coverage on rental cars so we only had to pay the base price and tax 😀 . Hope you find a good deal and have a great time!

      Was the rental a stick shift or at automatic
      Do you recommend ponte degaldo or terceria island. Trying to do 3 or four days to get some shots
      How far was your Airbnb from the airport.
      Sorry for asking so many questions but I resonated with your video

      I found this video authentic. Too many time, TH-camrs only shows the positive sides and hide all the negatives. When you actually follow their directions and go there, you feel disappointed. I think Azores is beautiful and have booked my trip to go there in September. Keep up the good work!
