Tbilisi surprised us. We thought being this far away from Europe would bring more change. Tbilisi fits right in with Hungary, Poland, or Slovakia. Tbilisi is a beautiful modern city with rich history and tasty food at an affordable price. What more could you ask for. Our first stop are the bath houses. We weren't sure if we needed to get naked for this one. We were just ready for anything
The bath houses are a must visit while in Tbilisi. Kisi, an exfoliating scrub, is the perfect extra add on when visiting a bathhouse. After our scrub, we visited the fortress and the beautiful church perched above the city. Finally, we end the day with some classic Khinkali. Georgia is high on our list of countries we would love to return to.

Amazing experience! haha the safety precautions is one topic we do not talk about a lot. Mostly because they are nonexistent compared to the US.

That fortress is more than 1500 years old and seen more battles than England in howl history, if you don’t know ask someone.
I visited Tbilisi in 2019 and I loved it. Lavash, Hachtapuris.... Dirt cheap too.

Ya, that rough marble bed was not forgiving! We did tip our masseuse and any sit down restaurant.

Should i always use cash debit card?
Tbilisi was very affordable. Similar to Eastern Europe prices. We use a card if we can but you should always have the local currency for small shops and anything outside the city center. Have so much fun for your birthday!

I'm Georgian and I don't go to those baths often but "water is changed once a week" is the weirdest thing I have heard... how? it's basically flowing water. Who would ever pay to go to or simply go to a public bath where "water is changed once a week"??
We explain that same thought process. Our guess is the baths are emptied once a week but we acknowledge since the water is constantly flowing, it's not like a hot tub without chemicals. Didn't stop us from having a great time!
