    First time I've seen you fish Lake Houston. Caught enough to keep interesting. Thanks for taking us along.

      It’s a fun lake. I grew up out there. I did film one video last November and I just filmed a real good one on labor day. It was one of the best days I’ve ever had on the lake. You’ll really like that one.

    Another good day on Lake Houston showcasing those talents without electronics! Enjoy the show and the debrief at the end showing the type of baits you were using. Will keep on the lookout for the next video. Thanks for sharing. 👍

      @@timc8913 thanks bud i sure do appreciate it. Hopefully next time i can get out there at daybreak and fish a tad longer. I definitely like fishing old school and going off instincts.
      Good deal. I’ve had a few folks recently request videos like this and I definitely don’t mind making them longer and more informative for you guys. I know it will help many folks catch more fish.

      Nice me too. Spent many days out here in my plastic boat before I could afford a good one. Thanks bud. Haha yeah by 2:30 I had enough lol. I did film another one last November that was pretty good. I’m ready for some cooler days on the water.

    Those days when the water temp is in the 90’s can be brutal. You did a great job finding a pattern and trusting your gut. Great video!

      @@bobourgeois4932 thanks bud! About 1:30 it got pretty miserable and I was headed home by 3. I appreciate that. I always love to fish that way. It brings back lots of good memories. Awesome! I live right on Lake Houston and just got a boat. Went out yesterday just learning the boat & electronics and the lake / Luce Bayou. Next time I'm hoping I pull in some of these late summer bass

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@roth515 nice! It’s a good lake. Be careful navigating on it. It is pretty shallow and lots of sandbars all over the place. The good thing on Houston is you really don’t need electronics besides a map and depth at the console. You will. Typically September can be hit or miss but if it’s on you’ll hammer them! I had two friends last weekend where one caught a 6 and the other a 7. It’s got big ones in it.

    Another great video thanks for sharing. I used to bass fish a lot when I was younger but just now getting back into it with the bay not being what it used to be and the limits being so low now. I've only been to Lake Houston once and launched way down on the south end at a pretty good sized park. Are there any accessible ramps for East Fork and Luces Bayou??

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You possibly launched at Deussen park. Yes there are good 4 ramps that I know of. There is one off the 1960 bridge on the Huffman side that’s public. There is also one on the west side but not 100% sure if it’s public or private.
      There is Pondarosa in Luce’s but as of Labor Day the ramp was for sale! Ugh… not 100% sure of the future of the ramp but praying it stays open.
      There is BJs in the east fork that’s nice and the one in the west fork I know of is this one. 30.02705° N, 95.20687° W I couldn’t remember the name of it but went on google maps and grabbed the GPS coordinates for you.
      Learn how to run in to the west fork because it is SKETCHY coming in there from the main lake. It makes me a little nervous. 😂 tons of sand bars and big logs!

    Man i always go here and never get any bass. But i launch on Deussen park. Do you ever fish on the south of the lake ?

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      On the lower end of the lake you need to concentrate on boat docks and what few coves there are on that south end. I’ve done pretty decent down there in the summer and sometimes spring but the southern end of the lake is better during the summer months. There is a couple of offshore structures that hold bass but there isn’t many of them. I found an old bridge one year that’s not even marked on any map. Just happened to be idling eating a sandwich and my side scan found it.
