I’ve been following this on Roland Martin. He has been spotlighting this on his channel for months. The town had been doing great under the current leadership, who was cleaning up the problems of the previous administration. “All of a sudden” the comptroller and friends started taking interest in the town. They were probably hoping that the current leadership would have been neglectful and wasteful, but they paid the bills on time and was turning things around. The people of Mason had been bringing attention to their plight since the beginning. So thank you for throwing your hat in the ring and bringing more attention to this problem.
Me too, the Mayor is a Black female. She inherited the cities debt from the prior administration and has made timely payments. Now he is trying to blame her administration for a debt that was inherited (from a prior White male mayor) as though she is inexperienced to be able to handle the finances.

I’ve been following this on Roland Martin. He has been spotlighting this on his channel for months. The town had been doing great under the current leadership, who was cleaning up the problems of the previous administration. “All of a sudden” the comptroller and friends started taking interest in the town. They were probably hoping that the current leadership would have been neglectful and wasteful, but they paid the bills on time and was turning things around. The people of Mason had been bringing attention to their plight since the beginning. So thank you for throwing your hat in the ring and bringing more attention to this problem.
Me too, the Mayor is a Black female. She inherited the cities debt from the prior administration and has made timely payments. Now he is trying to blame her administration for a debt that was inherited (from a prior White male mayor) as though she is inexperienced to be able to handle the finances.

Detroit went through the reverse of this when much of the auto industry basically left/abandoned Detroit for the suburbs (and out of state * including Mexico) decades ago. Detroit used to be LITERALLY the richest city in the ENTIRE country back in the 50s . LOOK IT UP!
