First rc excavator I bought was a top race tr211k which is just a cheaper version of the all metal metal tracked tr211M. I was initially thrilled with it and the excavator itself has held up pretty well but about a year into having it the transmitter basically started working when it wanted to then to only having some functions then the back buttons to walk it back and forth stopped all together and it had no movement. I tried fixing it and had it working here and there but when you start messing with the super thin wires with hardly no solder holding them in place it's a recipe for disaster. I contacted top race trying to get another transmitter and they basically didn't help at all and couldn't find a replacement for their own product and just ignored my emails after saying they was searching for a replacement that never was found I guess . It wasn't but about a year old and can't find a transmitter anywhere for it
@@digitrc I think your right because the new ones like I got show transmitter with the led screen like the 211m when it wasn't before..they done discontinued the one the one I have is my guess and changed it to the other

I have owned both and i would pick the wltoys every time.
I like that they are similar enough I can use parts from either machine.

I’ll bet the remote for the tr-212m would work. I checked the top race website and they are sold out right now.

@@briangrubb5481 worse case scenario I think you could do the control board and new radio and that would for sure work. Cheaper then a new model.
