I just sent a listing to my wife for the actuators and told her to order them for me! The machine as is with the clicking plastic gears is a pile of crap! The biggest arm on mine has already failed after 2 months of use. Also, I am in the process of making a huge excavator that will have about a 6' reach and be able to lift about 200 pounds. I want it large enough where I can actually trench a pipe in my yard. I will be using HyperTough cordless drills that cost $10 each from Walmart to drive each part. I wont be using batteries, they wont last long enough. It will be corded, and using a power supply. I plan on making a bucket that will be about 8" wide. I bought all the steel to build it, and threaded rods and nuts. It will not look fancy, but it sure will dig!

I had a go with mine but didn't have a desk top to work on as we live in a tiny flat.
So..... I started work on the washing machine with a nice clean white towel on top..
Went to the toilet and in the interim the wife had come in and filled it with laundry and turned it on...
I managed to find most of the bits and pieces and rebuilt it as best i could..
Problem is it looks more like Frankenstein's version of a 550 now.....
Still.. My pants were clean for the next few days....

How do you know what position the boom lift servo goes in....the other two are straight fwd.

How did you connect the actuator wires... im having trouble doing mine and i can not find the solution
Linear actuators will be a costly affair for us to try in India. But your effort is an appreciable one since many of the toys rc ones are damaged by children while playing which can be reused provided money power needed for purchasing these linear actuators.
