NAAAAAAH!!! Those live-action alvin and the chipmunks movies were MY childhood! To me, they were really good! If it's another live action movie, I'm totally down for it!
The live action movie were my first introduction to the characters and I was heavily attached to these characters and Because of me seeing the LA first as well I was also confused when watching the old cartoons and seeing how large the chipmunks looked in comparison.
I’m calling that they’re going to animate it like Spider-verse movies or do it cgi-live action hybrid… because for some reason those are the only two options they have with animated adaptations…
I grew up with those 2007 version of the chipmunks. My sister mom and i loved watching them at home, we'd always get them on dvds and laughed so much during them! I have also seen the cartoon frankenstien movie cris and maybe some episodes of the og cartoon you watched and I like those chipmunks too!

Nah, there was a interview on TH-cam where David said he didn’t mind doing the first two films, it was only with the third film where issues arose from one of the producers being a bit of a ass and scheduling contracts, delaying his projects he was working on at the time which is those reasons why he doesn’t return in the fourth instalment.
