Don Mancini needs to end the franchise. Starting off with the practical reasons, Brad Dourif is getting old. He's already said that aside from Chucky, he's retired. But then there's also the fact that at the very least, Mancini isn't very good with being completely in control. The first four movies were pretty good because he had other people working with him, and then Seed happened, which is the reason why we haven't seen Chucky on the big screen since. Sure it was great that Don brought the franchise back to its roots in Curse, but he lost that good will once again with Cult. I agree. As much as I do like this franchise, I do think this story has been going for 35 years since the original child’s play. Like Don Mancini honestly has to think of a finale where Chucky can finally die for the last time cuz from what I remember in season 3 is that Chucky now has one last chance, so the next time he gets killed, it’ll be all over for him. So I really want Don Mancini to make a movie that can be one last final confrontation between Chucky and Andy while the teens and nica can finally be freed cuz man, those 4 characters were done so dirty, they deserve a good ending. But yea, Chucky‘s VA is getting older and what worries me is that what if he freaking passes away before Don Mancini comes up with a grand finale to the franchise?? It just won’t feel the same without Brad if that happens 😓
@@docnightmares8291 Yeah well, sometimes you have to think about what your fans want from a franchise. You know, the people who keep him in business. Also, Bruce Campbell once said that you know a movie's going to be great if you don't ever want to do something like it again. I get it if Don wants to have fun, but he should stop treating Chucky like a joke.
@@firemiracle Exactly. The show has already pulled the "this is the last doll" schtick four times in the last two seasons, only to bring in another vessel for Chucky at the last minute. Where does it end? But regarding Brad, that seems unfortunately real the longer we all wait. We literally just lost great actors like Maggie Smith, Ken Page, and James Earl Jones within the span of a month. Hell, Ken Page was originally going to attend the Nightmare Weekend convention in Iowa but couldn't because he was sick, and then he died just a few days after that. So what does happen if Brad Dourif unfortunately passes away before Don finishes the franchise? Is he gonna just stop the whole thing? Or just use archive audio for Chucky? Because neither roads sound very good in my opinion.
@@JoelKellenProductions I know right??? We lost so many amazing celebs this year and that’s why it worries me that Brad could be next soon. So if Don Mancini is really thinking of making another movie now the show got cancelled, then it best to make it into the gran finale to the franchise.
Wow me and my girlfriend just started this series and currently in the middle of season 2 it’s crazy they cancelled the show but I guess we will finish
I like the way Chucky transfers his soul into different bodies the whole story can have a different turn and explore more in this area for the next film.
This show was garbage. Season 1 mildly interesting but but felt like a basic teen drama. I couldn't even finish season 2. And season 3 looked goofy asf.
I rather have a show but not if it's gonna be toilet water like the last two seasons. Its like saying I'd rather had a Daredevil movie instead of Season 3 that was on Netflix
I love, LOVE that you think this way, you are not one of those mega fans that love every single detail no matter how stupid the series was, also I freaking hated the puppets at the end, they look like they added the character's heads to stickers on the glass like WTF?!
Amazing video Chris from 3c films, fantastic job. I love the chucky series sad its cancelled and wrapped everyone story from the show in a movie have a perfect ending for everyone story too.
The new movie needs to address a way to mass-produce more Good Guy dolla. The problem with the tv series is it would imply that Chucky was in his last body. Then by the end of the season Chucky would have a new body to transfer into. Maybe a new company could buyout play pals to add some history to the franchise?
They should have put the main 3 kids into chucky like dolls, it wouldve got renewed if they did it like that. (I enjoyed it, even when it had it bad moments) It be cool to have a one hour special to finish this story) Kinda like what happened with the scream tv series, big cliffhanger then cancelled
Mann I’m still hurt till this day about scream. That was such a great show and I was so excited to see what they were setting up but it never got finished 😔
@SuperBubbleduck he is coming back in an animated series that will continue that cliffhanger (It will be voiced by him, but all the action scenes were taking a toll on his body). I loved that show to ..... check out the show from, and it doesn't disappoint
I’m sorry, the only good season was the first in my opinion. Everything else was downhill. This show was a fun little experiment, but it’s time to get serious. Goodbye, and let’s hope this next film pans out MUCH better.
I waited to watch the second half of Season 3 until last week bc I wanted to watch it during spooky season and literally a few hours after finishing the finale I saw it was cancelled. Strange timing
The show had so much potential , until it focused on pushing the gay agenda …at times it almost felt like they forgot it was a chucky show and more of a homosexual flick
There is no damn gay agenda. Don Mancini is gay himself and he's allowed to express that through his own ways. If you don't like it, don't watch but don't say stuff that's not true.
@@irelynegrega502 your a sicko, the show exploited children in a hyper sexual manner and your defending that? And further more , you offended because I stated the obvious !? You proved my point for me, you’re saying the director is gay so he’s expressing that in the show…which means what genius ?? A AGENDA !
Not homophobic but I think they should do a lot less gay stuff and pushing it in our face. And make Chucky like how he was in Childs play 1,2,3 and Bride Of Chucky.
I think a lot of people would agree but are scare to say it, i believe that's why it was cancelled. Pushing lgbt with adults is cool but with kids, nah ,idc what nobody says
It is not homophobic. I would say the same if it was a straight couple. Season 3 spent way too much time with relationship storyline and this is not what we love Chucky. Child's play 1 and 2 had zero love story, it was all about Chucky and we all loved that.
This! I don't give a flying physical fuck if Don Mancini wanted to have a gay main character, but any character development Jake had in season 1 was pushed to the side to focus on his relationship with Devon. They had no other personality outside of being gay and a little nerdy. I get that Jake was literally Don's self insert character but let's be real here. He cared more about pandering to a new audience than he did about reaching the old one.
@@docnightmares8291 Of course. But when you're working with an established franchise like Chucky is, You have to take the original fan base into account too. Otherwise just create something new
Can’t say I’m surprised. The ratings for the show were not good, and despite what people say - they DO matter. It was a decent little 3 season run, and hopefully this universe continues with more films. I think Chucky works better in movies, anyway.
I feel like this version chucky was a era we have to let go it filled up being nostlagic enough for us to get over it for a renewal but it was def needed, flaws and all but yea its a whole new era again
I really like when Chucky throws jokes, but I think he should go back to being a twisted killer doll. Also want them to bring back Glenn in doll form and also Tiffany as a doll.
luckily tiffany and glenn are back in their doll bodies but yes i also hope we get a more twisted killer chucky again, I remember Don Mancini promised that already after season 2.
The show overall was enjoyable, but the production quality felt a bit cheap, which took away from the experience. Chucky as a character was brilliantly portrayed, with funny lines and a great vibe throughout. The doll itself was very well-made-possibly the best we've seen since the original-but still not perfect. However, the storyline started to feel a bit stale and predictable. When it introduced interesting characters, they were killed off without any creative flair. Also, the CGI was quite noticeable at times, which pulled me out of the moment and made the deaths feel cheap. Even though I liked the show, I wasn’t disappointed when it got canceled. I think the story needs a reboot or a smarter direction to keep going. The constant recycling of old material and references to the original films is starting to get tiring. That said, Chucky remains my favorite villain!
Chucky 1-4 were so good. I need that feel again. The camp was ok for the show but i need it to go back to the vibe of the early movies (and Bride because it had a great balance)
@HulktySSJ2 Kinda surprising coming from Don Mancini, a fellow gay man. You'd think he would handle gay characters better, make them actual characters rather than caricatures. He did in season 1 and afterwards they were almost completely reduced to "we wanna kiss and f**k".
@@HulktySSJ2 Yeah that was my thoughts exactly i tolerated the 2 up to this season 3 but as it went i like why hell is series so focused on them, to hell and back then hotel scene happen i almost didn't finish the series as a result.
First mistake for me getting ready to abandon the show was pandering to the pronoun babies the next was how they did Nica considering she was the reason Chucky got a major rejuvenating path for the franchise as a whole
In all honesty I’m with you Chris on this. Season 1 and 2 where so fun and amazing but season 3 just didn’t do it for me and I had a feeling it was gonna get canceled but if we do get a new movie I’m all good with it as long as it releases in theaters
I’m not sad about this news the only good season was S1. After S1 the show just went off the rails and I really didn’t like it. The best thing it gave us was having Nica getting some wins and the return of Glen/Glenda. The movie format is sm better than the tv format.
Chucky seems to being moved to Netflix In some countries without peacock (before that I think it was only purchasable on Apple TV) hopefully something more mainstream can influence a future decision
I'm honestly glad it got cancelled. It was so bad that i didn't watch season 3 at all and i except watch your reviews on it Chris. I was just getting really tired of how bad the characters and story were. I want Chucky to be scary again not the guy that makes a joke in every line, i just want him to be a scary killer that made me scare of him and have nightmares as a kid but now he is just a comedy killer.
I do think the child’s play franchise should do the Halloween route be direct circle to the original movie although I would argue it should be a direct sequel to the first three as a whole ever since bride. Chucky has become a joke, especially seed. but ever since Tiffany, Glenn and Glenda came, he hasn’t been the same
Same bro! I just want a new trilogy or just one movie that’s actually scary. And a final showdown between Chucky and Andy. Make every movie after 3 and series non-canon.
@@zackthestrongest5683 Even better. Chucky should’ve never had side characters. The franchise was beloved when it was Chucky vs Andy. With Andy having 1-2 supporting characters to help him against Chucky. It went downhill when Chucky had supporting characters and these characters took the spotlight from him.
@@zackthestrongest5683 here’s the thing ever since Tiffany came along. I hate to say this, but she just made Chucky a joke. Chucky was far better off when he was on his own no Tiffany no Glenn no Glenda I mean think about it. Reboot would be amazing if they would keep the vibe of the very first movie , thats like the perfect chucky or even horor movie for me the serious tone with sprinkle of humor is amazing even the story is amazing
Chucky has a flow. Starts as horror, evolves to horror/comedy, evolves again to bonkers comedy. I just want the horror Chucky with very light comedy. So the TV show just didn’t do anything for me.
Honestly, I’m sure he’s probably shopping it around to other networks, or streaming services. Until then, I’m excited to see what the movie has to offer.
IDC for the series as for Chucky he is never gonna go back to the 3 child play movies type of horror Don just keeps making him further from what he was Originally and just a joke horror character. Now it's kinda like watching the Goofy Scary movie sequel's they just progressively get worser.
100% agree! I love the first 3 films because Chucky didn't have to constantly threaten people! He got shit done or tried his damnest to! And I miss Kevin Yagher doing Chucky it's not the same without him From 1-Bride Chucky felt alive from Seed onwards Chucky just feels like a cheap puppet with Tony Gardner imo
I know no one is willing to say it… but that second and more so third season felt like gay child porn for Don… and it made me extremely uncomfortable. Honestly in one episode they get it on multiple times. I am all for shining a spotlight and inclusion.. but this felt wrong.
I did enjoy the series, but I've been over it. I don't like the direction they went with certain characters and storylines. Also, the extra emphasis they put on Jake and Devon's teen relationship in certain scenes made it an uncomfortable watch.

Meh, fell out of the series with season 2. Like... I didn't care about the main trio after season 1.
Wow me and my girlfriend just started this series and currently in the middle of season 2 it’s crazy they cancelled the show but I guess we will finish
I like the way Chucky transfers his soul into different bodies the whole story can have a different turn and explore more in this area for the next film.
I'm not sure if I'm in the minority here, but I'm kind of glad it got canceled. I would much prefer movies over the show.
I’m happy that mediocre show got canceled
This show was garbage. Season 1 mildly interesting but but felt like a basic teen drama. I couldn't even finish season 2. And season 3 looked goofy asf.
I would have loved this show more if it wasn’t sooo gay. 👎
I rather have a show but not if it's gonna be toilet water like the last two seasons. Its like saying I'd rather had a Daredevil movie instead of Season 3 that was on Netflix
@@frankcortes6852Them being gay wasn't the problem it was they was shoving it hard in your face every chance they got
Woody : it was a great show. I mean, why cancel it.
Hopefully chucky comes back. But please have someone else take over. Back to the roots. Evil doll and none of that goofy sht
I gave up when chucky got muscles
I love, LOVE that you think this way, you are not one of those mega fans that love every single detail no matter how stupid the series was, also I freaking hated the puppets at the end, they look like they added the character's heads to stickers on the glass like WTF?!
Amazing video Chris from 3c films, fantastic job. I love the chucky series sad its cancelled and wrapped everyone story from the show in a movie have a perfect ending for everyone story too.
honestly i was expecting this, the series wasnt doing that well after the first season it just wasnt as good
I HAVE AN IDEA “Reading bad reviews on my favorite recent horror movies”
I'm Completely Fine With This Show Getting Canceled. It Went off the Rails, and not in a Good Way
The new movie needs to address a way to mass-produce more Good Guy dolla. The problem with the tv series is it would imply that Chucky was in his last body. Then by the end of the season Chucky would have a new body to transfer into. Maybe a new company could buyout play pals to add some history to the franchise?
I mean we all saw this coming.
part of me feels like after season 1 don didn't know what to do with all the characters and storylines
They should have put the main 3 kids into chucky like dolls, it wouldve got renewed if they did it like that. (I enjoyed it, even when it had it bad moments) It be cool to have a one hour special to finish this story)
Kinda like what happened with the scream tv series, big cliffhanger then cancelled
Mann I’m still hurt till this day about scream. That was such a great show and I was so excited to see what they were setting up but it never got finished 😔
@@chub6672 Ash vs evil dead fans got it so much worst! and to top it off bruce campbell is retired from the ash roll
@@SuperBubbleducknah Bruce loves ash and is in every movie, he’ll return at some point
@chub6672 the biggest kick in the ass was the fact that they brought it back then had a whole new cast
@SuperBubbleduck he is coming back in an animated series that will continue that cliffhanger (It will be voiced by him, but all the action scenes were taking a toll on his body). I loved that show to ..... check out the show from, and it doesn't disappoint
I agree that after season one it started getting into seed of Chucky territory, but man what about that cliffhanger at the end of season 3?
I’m sorry, the only good season was the first in my opinion. Everything else was downhill.
This show was a fun little experiment, but it’s time to get serious. Goodbye, and let’s hope this next film pans out MUCH better.
Kinda sad it's over season 1 is how I found your channel
I thought it was obvious it was cancelled seeing that we haven’t heard production news and Halloween is around the corner
It should've been obvious when Season 3 ended and the show was literally begging people to save it
I waited to watch the second half of Season 3 until last week bc I wanted to watch it during spooky season and literally a few hours after finishing the finale I saw it was cancelled.
@@irelynegrega502 you clearly didn’t watch the show. Exploiting children in a hyper sexual manner is never ok. I don’t care if the director is gay or straight. "Don't Like it don't watch it"
How did that turn out? Trash got canceled....😂
Good. The first season was solid, it went down hill so fast for seasons 2 and 3. I never even finished the show.
I honestly think Jake and devons relationship was so boring and I never felt chemistry between them they were just basically trauma bonding
They should have ended their story line with season 1 once they got together . Instead Neca should have been the main lead
hopefully we can get that jason or michael show
Not homophobic but I think they should do a lot less gay stuff and pushing it in our face.
@@EnnaitakPretty sure that was the point of the series. Mancini wanted the series to reach out to a newer audience.
It honestly sucked after season 1
Yeah, It became gayer and more messed up! 😵💫

Okay but let’s be real, Tiffany was one of the real stars of the show
Chucky 1-4 were so good. I need that feel again. The camp was ok for the show but i need it to go back to the vibe of the early movies (and Bride because it had a great balance)
Jake and Devon in season 3 explained Jake and Devon:(gay jokes) thats about it
I hate to be that guy but it’s sadly true
@@3CFilmsClips I know you don't like people saying woke in your channel, but COME ON... even you have to admit it was forced beyond belief...
@@HulktySSJ2so if it wouldve been a straight couple making straight sex jokes all the time it would be better? Lol
I don’t see the movie going to theaters seeing how the show ended but maybe it can hit streaming like Hulu
First mistake for me getting ready to abandon the show was pandering to the pronoun babies the next was how they did Nica considering she was the reason Chucky got a major rejuvenating path for the franchise as a whole

How is it "pandering"? Explain.
“The pronoun babies” thanks for losing credibility.

Man i just need a resolution. I would mind a finale special or just something quick in the movie
The strike and focus on homosexuality killed the show. For season 3, waiting for part 2 was difficult because no one was that interested in part 1.

I’m not sad about this news the only good season was S1. After S1 the show just went off the rails and I really didn’t like it. The best thing it gave us was having Nica getting some wins and the return of Glen/Glenda. The movie format is sm better than the tv format.
Man, I really wanted a season 4 but the movie is gonna be great... 😅😂
Good riddance, That chucky show destroyed the franchise in my eyes.
The franchise has been dead for decades
100% agree. This show completely ruined My whole perspective on Chucky for the worst
It was a good show to me, but… tooo gay. 👎

Honestly we have to go watch childs play 1 and 2 to keep chucky alive
Chucky seems to being moved to Netflix In some countries without peacock (before that I think it was only purchasable on Apple TV) hopefully something more mainstream can influence a future decision

Homophobia isn’t welcome.
If they do go down the halloween route then we won't have nica and Tiffany
@@zackthestrongest5683 Even better. Chucky should’ve never had side characters. The franchise was beloved when it was Chucky vs Andy. With Andy having 1-2 supporting characters to help him against Chucky. It went downhill when Chucky had supporting characters and these characters took the spotlight from him.
@RevengerPhoenix I disagree I think you need to have some good side characters to make it interesting
The TV series was honestly good 😊 hope Chuck comes back
So sad!! But I am excited to see what they do next!!
IDC for the series as for Chucky he is never gonna go back to the 3 child play movies type of horror Don just keeps making him further from what he was Originally and just a joke horror character. Now it's kinda like watching the Goofy Scary movie sequel's they just progressively get worser.
Idk I'd say scary movie 3 was the best one. Where as Chucky has just gotten progressively worse the more creative freedom Don Mancini was given.
@LAJIRAFA66_ALT i only Enjoyed the Childs Play Films
@MelBlanc222 Honestly Chucky didn't need a bride it all went downhill from that one. And I Agree the puppeteer made Chucky more alive
Curse wasn’t that bad though it was the best one from the new era movies . He was actually scary again for that one movie ‼️
