+Alan Jesus Yes, the old Soviet/Russian chess school he went trough is clearly reocgnizable: strict, structured, clear to the point, no wonder Russia has had so many GM
Yeah, you can see the structured & disciplined approach in his presentation, which probably originated in the Soviet chess school. But more than that, he doesn't judge people. If they don't know the opening, he tells them and moves on. If they can't immediately figure out the right move, he gives them time to think about it. He's unhurried, and he's kind. And he knows what he's talking about. He has the heart of a teacher. This goes beyond whatever system he came out of. Varuzhan is a naturally gifted instructor.
A big thankyou to Chess Club for uploading these lectures. I especially like GM Varuzhan Akobians style of lectures. He is very funny and manages to create a lot of interest in the game. Amazing ambassador of the game of Chess.
We might also add that that sounds a lot like laziness on the moderators part. Who gets to decide what misogyny is, you? I can guarantee you got it from the grapevine from some professor or other whose ultimate goal is to make it look like heterosexuality is abnormal.
Love your guys videos and analysis of legendary players but I'm just curious why haven't you guys done a video on Bobby Fischer yet? I've seen almost every big name from Paul Murphy, to Borris Spassky, Mikhail Tal, Tigran and the list goes on. But I haven't seen you guys do a video of Bobby Fischer yet, why.
sanferrera ok thank you. Ive watched it again and i figured i didnt listen very well.haha. I am a beginner player so i woudnt know why those continuations are the best. Thanks for the reply tho.
On 23.58 e2-e3 is blocking the path of the dark Bishop. In many of your studies you stressed to move the dark Bishop to g5 to have an active diagonal and pinning the knight. Correct?
***** Ben's acerbic sense of humour is great. Listening to Yasser is like listening to Bob Ross. His slow, calm, happy demeanour is so relaxing. Both explain brilliantly. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. I love both.
Fantastic teacher. He always manages to keep all his videos interesting and captivating.
i agree 100%
Akobian such an excellent and clear teacher!
+Alan Jesus Yes, the old Soviet/Russian chess school he went trough is clearly reocgnizable: strict, structured, clear to the point, no wonder Russia has had so many GM
+UliPotowsky Do you have any information about how they teach chess there ?

Pierre Groussac you seem to just be assuming things based off this video...
You're right. Perhaps I'm assuming too much, but this guy is a good instructor. Very patient, very good at explaining a chess game. Cheers.
Varuzhan's videos are the best!!
Grateful to have such a unique legend to study! Thank you for more amazing Petrosian games.

True Grandmaster. Another amazing lecture by Akobian!
finally the master of prophylaxis Tigran Petrosian
Thank you for showing the Petrosian games, they're brilliant.
Akobian videos are a treat.
Excellent analysis, thanks a ton
It went from 72 to 76. That's some hot chess, folks.
varuzhan akobian
Very instructive games by the former world champion. Thanks GM Akobian and Saint Louis Chess Club for presenting this great lecture!
The best chess teacher I have ever seen in my entire life...
notice how at 1:00 the therometer in the back says 72 degrees, while at 20:00 it says 76 degrees.
Burning chess by Petrosian!!!!!
Also great video!
they are probably 76 fahrenheit degrees wich are equal approximatly to 25 celsius so it is all ok in there XD
lel XD
Akobian.. great teacher in the world!
you great teacher,,thank you
Another great video from sir Akobian.

Akobian is a Master, super master, at the level of Seirawan, please more videos from both!
Useful lecture...🌷🌻🌼
I am very much happy to learn chess through TH-cam. As a chess coach its very much helpful to train my young chess masters. Thanks a lot.. Namskar
i was missing yu Akobian
he is a very good teacher
akobian is a quality teacher i love his classes! but just a question like avor said even i thought what about Rf6 in the second game
Playing simple is good, but playing creatively is more fulfilling for me.
Akobian
.
Just Wow
It's warm in there.
@20:11 why blocks Rook with the knight isn't okay for black? Because QxBc8 wins the Queen exchange with tempo.
Of course AKOBIAN is great teacher. He is teaching chess in his own style.
I like it.
I saw f4! My idea was that after the queen takes e3 with check and Kh1 that the e file would be open and the threat of Re1 was VERY strong.
32:39 what would follow rook f6?
why comments are disabled for WGM Tatev Abrahamyan's videos??
Too many misogynistic comments to moderate. True story. Sad.
That's a bad reason to censor free speech.

Keeping the room heated to 75 degrees? I'd hate to have to pay your heating bill.
Mantap ini ada pelajaran ending nya
what is the defense called on 23:53?
PieterDave that's the semi-slav. At this position, white has 2 main continuations, 5.Bg5 or 5. e3
sanferrera ok thank you. Ive watched it again and i figured i didnt listen very well.haha. I am a beginner player so i woudnt know why those continuations are the best. Thanks for the reply tho.

at 11:00 after Kd5 he cannot go Qd8 because then Kc7 anyways, queen cannot take because of Bf7+ winning the queen.
What software they're using
Nice game but please we need a MiDDleGAmE explanation mainly
Did Petrosian ever play against a computer?
Legend has it the computer offers draw on move 1
The armenian alphabet is interesting, f.e. the armenian "Տ" is a "T"
Տիգրան Պետրոսյան -> Tigran Petrosjan
Վարուժան Հակոբյան -> Varowzhan Hakobjan
suddenly at 18 minute of this video, his head makes funny noise, clever humor by chess students
🌋
The best presentation style undoubtedly belongs to Ben Finegold!
***** Ben's acerbic sense of humour is great. Listening to Yasser is like listening to Bob Ross. His slow, calm, happy demeanour is so relaxing. Both explain brilliantly. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. I love both.
MIKE KUMMER IS DA BEST !!!
I learned how to pronounce Petrosian
Engaging teacher.
what about bobby fischer
a cool 72 degrees
Shakhriyar mammedyarov 👍is king
I'm sorry, but Korchnoi played this opening like a patzer.
Maybe Spassky was right about him: a hard worker, but without real talent.
I spotted F4 in seconds
