The fact that they actually showed the actors real wife and child from before he got his throat injury that caused his iconic voice hit my heartstrings a little bit more than it needed to
@@swakage13x I was wondering what that was.
Quite honestly, me too. We all love Beghe as Voight.
Prosecutor: "How are you today?"
Voight: "Well, I--"
Defence Lawyer: "OBJECTION!"
usually a sign when the lawyer realized they are on the losing side.
@@nightwingman666 objecting isn't necessarily a show that they are losing.
Take johny Depps case for example.
The point of an objection is to ensure the other side does not go off rails unfairly bring things that do not belong.
Now if you object and the judge overruled multiple times then yes you are losing
Screaming it too. Judge is aggressive too. Horse ass
why did this make me laugh so hard🤣

When Voit first came on the scene in Chicago Fire he was a crooked cop, bad guy and next thing we know he’s running the Intelligence Unit as a good cop, good guy! He sure did turn it around in these series…😂
That was mostly just him trying to protecting his son
He was more of a old school cop
His character wasn't getting a lot of love when he was bad so they gave him a redemption arc, one thing I don't like with shows like this and MD tv is the characters often break the law or do things unethical and get no repercussions for it
@@datwolfbrice3740 ...old school policing IS corrupt
That was really the only he was being bad and acting like a jerk he trying to protect his son and that was just a minor setback but he’s since gained trust from firehouse 51 Hank Voight does everything he possibly can to make sure the truly evil and truly dangerous get locked up for good
Voight usually is known for his reputation as a someone who is feared by both criminals and fellow officers but this court scene shows he is just as crafty and street smart as he is intimidating.
Too bad that doctor is wasn’t aware of that rep when he was “treating” his wife

Based on this clip, it's possible that Camille didn't even have cancer
Hi good nagnit
Can't play a player. They know the game cuz they've played it themselves
I lost my favorite grandma to cancer many years ago back when I was in high school. When watching this, it wasn't easy to sit through. Voight nailed his testimony to put that "twisted, sick" doctor away.
There's no question he wanted to kill the bad doctor. Then again he knew that was a type of justice his wife didn't want. It takes a person like Hank Voight everything he has to take the person who killed the 1 he loved to court. I respect him for that.
Wait, the doctor killed Voight's wife too? Damn.
Love these real home movies of Jason Beghe and his [then wife] and oldest son. So sweet. Gave a face and life to “Camille.”
the home video at the end is so cute, i love when real personal footage/photos of actors makes it into their work
Clearly that guy doesn't understand that by giving patients a disease that they didn't have along with treatment they didn't need doesn't mean helping it means harming and neglecting your duties as a doctor. If your a doctor your supposed to diagnose patients with the diseases they do have and cure them with treatment they do need. I applaud Sargeant Voight for taking a stand to get justice for the one he loved who was taken from him in very unjustified way. His wife I know would be proud.

Yeah and maybe it's in another part of the episode or something, but why didn't they bring up the medical files from chicago med that said these patients never had cancer and yet were given 7 times the normal dose of chemo? This only showed Voight talking about how much chemo they had but not the part about them not even having cancer at all.

I lost my dad to cancer 17 years ago before my 15th birthday. I literally blamed my dad’s doctor along with anybody involved. but no one was responsible for his death. Apparently he had been battling it for 12 years. The most messed up part of the episode is that most of these women who are called cancer patients victims by this doctor didn’t even have cancer in fact, we’re literally dying slowly because of this monster.
You did it Hank you did it you may make a lot of mistakes but you did the right thing at the most important time and you brought so many families peace.

Doctors who do this irl should lose their license and go to prison at the bare minimum.
That's the thing I like here is how you enter evidence into trial. You have to put numbers on it and give it to the judge and see if he accepts it or not.
This scares me a little because my dad had cancer luckily it has not come back. He was a construction worker in NYC at the time. He worked during 9-11. 9-11 did alot to NYers. The building had so many toxic chemicals in it that spilled all over the city. When my class mates and I went out for Gym it looked like it was snowing outside it was dust and paper. But imagine if the doctor who treated my dad's cancer was like this. Stuff like this makes you grateful for good doctors. Cause even though this is a TV show there are real doctors who do things like this.
Is this the same doctor who sent 2 women to Chicago MD?
That is supposedly how this case started developing.
I think so. The two shows are connected, they take place alongside each othef
3 technically but yeah it’s the same one
Call Me crazy but I think the lawyer lady did it on purpose. She had to know that trying to drag a cop down would only put the nails in her client's coffin put it in the grave and bury it.🤣😭
Wouldn't be the first time a defense attorney realized what a POS their client was, but felt compelled to remain as the lawyer of record. So they carefully make a tiny "mistake" that lets the prosecutor introduce key evidence that had been ruled inadmissible before.

Two types of justices that were served in season three for Hank. One was done legally through Hank, deceased wife that was treated by this ass of a doctor that pretty much ruined so many other women’s lives. Then there is a vigilante way, which involved Justin’s killer basically shot in the face and buried in an unmarked grave at a location by Hank that I think it’s pretty goddamn cool. Although I don’t think he was buried in a grave, I think he was probably dumped in the river. Hi good nagnit
if the best friend of Voight's beloved wife was in attendance of the trial of the doctor accused of overdosing chemo patients, including Voight's wife, she would've been glad to see that doctor going to jail.
This case reminds me of a medical case of someone close to me. They were diagnosed at an early age with bipolar depression and their primary doctor prescribed them so many many drugs, they were medically high up til high school. After that, they changed doctors and stopped taking the pills. And yet, the first doctor claimed they were helping and boasted of how my loved one was their star patient.
My dad’s a state-renowned pharmacist and told me in secret that he heard of this doctor and how she “wasn’t a good person yet alone a doctor.”
Last I know, my loved one developed a fear of doctors, hospitals, and prescription drugs, though they ARE indeed bipolar.
Came from MD TV about a doctor over dosing patients with chemo to finding myself here.

From 5:37 to 5:40 Jason beghe’s acting ability is like no other on television ( and this is not to take anything away from the rest of the cast) but from a fictional character perspective he nails every single emotion in this scene of a grieving Ex- husband now getting the justice for himself and his deceased wife.

Um… can someone please explain to me why he was still in court for a trial is the defendant confessed in a court of law and they had that on record? He took a deal, he confessed, he’s guilty, now on to sentencing, right? Or am I missing something?
It was a fraud trial, and he probably got a deal where he wouldn't be charged for attempted homicide since at that point no one had died. But once women started turning up dead, his prior deal was off the table.
@@Celestia18 even if the trial was real the deal went off as soon as the women turned up dead. and one of them just happens to be voight's wife camille

These kind of bad doctors were psychopaths as kids, that these shows depicted. Then the parents don’t get them help and just work on their academics. Which gives them a chance to do what they love doing without being detected for a long time. That is hurting people.

Is this linked to Chicago Med?
Yes Chicago fire, pd, med and justice do cross overs at least once or twice a season
I’m not going to lie, I was listening to this instead of watching it, and I swore that in the very beginning that was detective Hoffman from Saw.
“You don’t speak, you ask questions.”
…but…she has to speak…to ask…questions…
What was the doctor's motive?
Thrill. Power. Control
Money
The doctor is a greedy monster. He presents himself as a selfless and kind doctor but really he's a manipulative beast
Legally isn’t this double jeopardy? he already received a plea deal for doing it.
I don't think so because he was only sentenced for the three patients that just died. They just used the plea deal as evidence that he has done it before
No because the other cause was about the money he received, thus it was fraud. This was the medical side of it, thus attempted homicide.
The plea deal was for fraud. He was never tried or convicted of homicide or attempted homicide. Double jeopardy doesn't apply
Is this connected to the Chicago Med episode?
Yes it was a crossover from fire to med to pd to justice
Why do he think he was helping them by putting them through chemo when they didn’t have cancer ? How could that have helped them ?
I felt bad for voight cause as much as he is always tough and aggressive there are times when he just wants to break down like what happened to his wife then to his son then Erin then al
