Personally, it's my favorite of the sequels. DH3 may have a better villain, but its ending was anticlimactic. Didn't care at all for the last two sequels.
DH 2 was awesome. We had a great performance from Bruce back when he gave a darn about the franchise, sadistic villains, cool supporting characters and some of the most creative action sequences of the series (ejection seat and plane climax). This is when Die Hard still had balls and was geared toward the mature crowd. Flawed? Yes. Fun? Absolutely. RIP Die Hard (1988-1995).
None of the grenades have their fuse pulled except the last one, it’s subtle but u can see the difference and that’s why McClane takes a while to get out, the last grenade is meant to blow up the others
Jeremy mentioned the 2 bad spots in the film which were annoying but the film had also a lot of great elements. The harsh winter atmosphere was fantastic. The fights in the hanger or the threat level with the planes were always staggering.
Oscar Johnson Honestly, it's the only sequel that actually feels like a Die Hard movie given all the callbacks. The others barely have any connections to the first film except for Simon Gruber. Without such distinctions, John McClane may as well have been the protagonist of Speed.

You are right, for that movie I think Season of the Witch alone just makes it sound much more creative alone.. But if since John Carpenter's plan was to create a Non realted to each other Halloween movie series, the Halloween would be necessary, but possibly it could be one of those movie series with different names.

The only thing I appreciated about Underworld Awakening is that they made Selena tougher, faster, and stronger---and they made it super obvious in her action sequences. I appreciated that b/c it made sense considering where the previous film left off.

If anyone remembers the opening paragraph in T1 it clearly says the "final battle wouldn't be fought in the future, it would be fought in the present.... Tonight". By the end of T1 john was saved pre concieved along with his mother. Everything that happens later on is already known which is humanity will win, the time travel mission was a last ditch effort which btw the resistance destroyed from what Reese said right? So yeah...
Speaking of Amadeus, how about a review of that once you've done the Die Hard saga? I love that movie and I'm interested to hear your take on it. (Plus an impersonation of Tom Hulce's Mozart laugh.)

Gotta admit that i like the Inspector Gadget sequel, it felt more true to the cartoon in my opinion. Not only because you don't see Claw's face, but also because Gadgets personality felt more accurate than in the first one.

Actually the TBS edited "Yippee Kai Yay, Mr. Falcon" for Die Hard 2 is almost as good as Hans' version for me. They should make that an extra audio track for the blu ray.
Well I can appreciate that he has dimension as a villain and every great villain has like ability. Not to mention his plan was brilliant, the way I see it him almost repeating the Hans plan without directly duplicating it is poetic, but also it makes sense for McClane to figure out the plan. Also adding in that he's Hans brother just makes him more memorable " Yeah he was an asshole" lol.
Don't know about noise, but I usually turn off my bgm on most rpgs/fps/fighters and just turn on my winamp or spotify and play. Especially level grinding on rpgs/mmos.
You have to admit, that scene at the end where he sets the trail of gasoline on fire and it blows up the fucking plane mid air, is bad ass.

They also said it's better than the first one. Siskel even put it on his top 10 movies of 1990 list. Very underrated by everyone else.
