  • This is a ride on board the Canada Line - one of TransLink's rapid transit 'skytrain' routes - though this line is operationally separate from the other two lines in operation. The Canada Line opened in 2009 linking Downtown Vancouver with YVR Airport and Richmond in just 30 minutes. The line is operated with twenty LRV units built by Hyundai-Rotem with a maximum frequency of every three minutes (one train every six minutes to YVR Airport and one train every six minutes to Richmond).
Our train is unit 17 (cars 117 and 217), built in 2008 and delivered in early-2009.
Previously the rapid transit between Richmond and Downtown Vancouver was provided by the 98 B-Line bus, running along Seymour and Howe Streets in Downtown Vancouver, and along Granville Street and over the Arthur Laing and Moray Bridges via Airport Station.

Cute train! Many medium-to-big cities around the world should build an elevated system just like this one from Greater Vancouver instead of light rail mixed with local traffic, more capacity and pleasant to see/ride·

Jason Zhang It is right now in order to space out the trains they have. They are looking to speed up service with new trains in the future.
