what? the part before the tunnel to burrard from waterfront was partly open back then? I wasn't alive back in the 90s and didn't ride the skytrain until I was 3.
Same situation here, I only learned about that recently by chance looking at old photos. I think it's one of thoughs things so mundane most people don't think to talk about it; except for us nerds. :P

Wow, people sure talked a lot more back then... I was 2 months old when most of this was filmed and everyone on the Skytrain just quietly stares at their phones now.
and the fucking skytrain smells like weed now cause it's just been legalized right? man time flies i was still in china like 3 years old back in 99. :P
i still take the skytrain like everyday @ commercial-broadway, they moved the elevator farther right cause i remember there's no elevator on the platform.
In my collections of tapes I've recently found an almost uncut view of the skytrain from Surrey to Vancouver. Maybe I'll upload this in the future.
ttonyat I'd love to see it
Omg i wanna cry. So much has changed since!
That's what TransLink was born.

Evan Hancock I used to ride it in the 90s from Surrey Central to Columbia and vice versa as a kid, along with my brother and my father

In 1999, bc transit became translink

1999 wasn't that long ago, your camera must of been ancient
BC in the 90s man. You'd take whatever camera you could afford
Even the 80s but petty soon the TransLink logo will be repainted after the end of the BC one in the 2000 So it did.
Call me nostalgic, but I'd love to have translink re-introduce the old Karen Kelm recordings for Expo line.
Eatons at Metrotown. Oh my god I totally forgot about that place.
Brentwood as well lol
They changed it into Metropolis.

Millennium Line Branch about to be built.
New Westminster station change a lot too.
You know, the old SkyTrain voice of Karen Kelm (1985- Late 2001)
Did she quit or get fired?
Laureen Regan replaced her when they were recording the announcements for the Millennium Line.
Her announcements had more enthusiasm!
