The idea of an antagonist growing along with the Protagonist has always been so interesting to me. Rather than like, the antagonist being at their peak and the Protag being not nearly as powerful for 95% of the series. I think that's one of the reasons I like Mahito so much. He's compared to a child. But he's very quickly growing and adapting to the world around him. In the small amount of time between his first fight with Nanami and this one, he learned Domain Expansion. Something Nanami couldn't attain even after YEARS. A villain who grows is truly a dangerous one
The fact that Itadori with with basically 0 knowledge decided to slam his way into a domain expansion he had *no* way of countering to save Nanami. And that just so happened to be the perfect counter and thus saving Nanami is so cool
You know, I was about to say that he was directly taught this by Gojo when he fought Jogo. But no, Gojo only taught him how to escape from within a Domain. So props to Itadori.
@@ForthwithJackal Yeah Gojo taught him what they were but even if Itadori knew how to escape one he would assume Nanami also knew how to escape one. And though he doesn't know if Nanami has a domain expansion he knows for a fact *he* doesn't.

If you're still confused, Sukuna is resistant to Idle Transfiguration. Sukuna is in Itadori, so their souls are in the same place. Sukuna threatened Mahito once, and since everyone's soul is touched inside Mahito's domain, he unintentionally interfered with Sukuna's soul, so he cut him.
Love the juxtaposition of Yujis relationship with Nanami when they first met to after fighting Mahito. Went from “I do not recognize you as a jujutsu sorcerer” to basically saying “WE are jujutsu sorcerers, this is what we do.” Earned Nanamis respect
A nice little detail. During his lecture to Yuji in episode 9, Nanami says that realizing the local bakery no longer sells your favorite bread/sandwich is one of the "little despairs" that make someone an adult. The second time we see Nanami in the bakery, before he helps the girl with the curse on her shoulder, the sandwich he gets is different because they stopped selling the ham and cheese sandwich he liked. Also, a more obvious one, but just as little spoken about is how Nanami acknowledges Yuji as a genuine Jujutsu Sorcerer in this episode, where in episode 9 he didn't. Small little details that may go under your radar are always a joy to pick up on in this show.
16:42 Mahito's domain AUTOMATICALLY brings him in touch with the target's soul. With anyone else, thats a massive guaranteed victory for him. However in Juji's case, it means also touching Sukuna. The moment Juji entered Mahito's domain, Mahito touched Sukuna's soul, and Sukuna attacked him for that transgression. Edit: ah, got cleared up later
So domain expansion is a deeper understanding of ones technique. It isn't necessarily unlocked when you're closer to death, but when you get this image in your head of what your technique is at a deep fundamental level, you can unlock it. But that doesn't mean everyone can gain a domain, and some of the strongest sorcerers don't have a domain either, like how Nanami with a pretty strong technique doesn't have one.
Nanami shouldn't be considered one of the strongest characters, he's a model example of what the average sorcerer can be. Reliable, informative, and fairly strong
@farsous10 even without being in the top 10 or even 20, he's still a very powerful Grade 1 sorcerer in his own, even without any great technique and without a domain. It's the same as how Kusakabe isn't especially strong, he still can put in the work with what they have. The Special grades are all a league of their own, the Grade 1s that are around show clearly why they are so reliable through the strengths they have.
basically domains are actually pretty easy to break into because normally it's not a good idea to do, it's like jumping in the middle of a gun fight, and it's also very important to keep someone trapped inside otherwise what's the point? so domains are structured in such a way that everything goes into keeping someone inside and the fact that someone can break into a domain is irrelevant because they would be putting themselves at risk so it's an acceptable trade off. Only someone crazy like Yuji would try to break in. It just so happens that Yuji is also the one person you don't want in your domain especially if you're Mahito. Basically if you are in Mahito's domain then he is automatically touching your soul just by existing in his domain, the moment Yuji broke in it was as if Mahito was touching his soul and by extension Sukuna's and Sukuna warned him not to dare touch his soul again. Even if it wasn't intentional for Mahito that was still strike 2 in Sukuna's book.
When Sukuna cut Mahito and mahito was surprised it was because Yuji was within his domain and like they've said before everything is a guaranteed hit. So without realizing it mahito attacked Yuji's soul which is where Sukuna resides. So by doing that he attacked Sukuna and he already told mahito if he did it again then he would attack back. Their domains didn't clash there either. Sukuna sliced Mahito with Cleave
To add on top that... Because mahito just did a DE, he basically didn't Have his Cursed technique...so he really couldn't heal himself with ease like that.....
Now I want a silent reaction as an April fools episode or something. Just record you two watching a show in complete silence, it would be so damn surreal.
One thing you guys should know about MAHITO is that he’s a sadistic, immature cursed spirit who enjoys toying with human emotions he believes that he was born out of transgressions of hatred, fear, and anger, and he believes that all humans should be wiped out and cursed spirits should rule their place
I always love seeing Mahito get jumped. It's a very satisfying scene. Also, I believe that the curses we saw in the short at the end of the last episode were kids that he transfigured to use here against Yuji. He did that to kids and Yuji had to put them down. Mahito deserves every bit of pain he has coming and then more
When Sukuna says "it's not a generic technique that relies on charms" he means it's something unique to his bloodline/body. A generic technique would be something that anybody could learn or channel. A charm would be a talisman used to invoke the thing you summon. So Yuji would be able to summon something with a charm, like how he was able to use the blade Slaughter Demon which was imbued with cursed energy and how Maki can use them with no cursed energy of her own. Sukuna was intrigued in Megumis Ten Shadows technique and claims he'll be able to see something interesting with it.
11:47 When Nanami says “I’m a person that has never gotten the concept of reason for living, or something worth doing.” That struck me to my core. It’s hard to feel like living itself matters when no matter how much I want it or work for it there is nothing that is unique to me. In a world with literal billions of people there is no way that I can exist in a way that makes my life important. The biggest impact I can make is on those who love me. If I lived in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen and had the ability to be a jujutsu sorcerer then I would be. I think it’s the fact that there are so few sorcerers in the world and the desire to have meaning that drives Nanami to rejoin. Meaning and purpose are something that is so incredibly personal that no single person can describe it. If you find something that gives you purpose and meaning, then I truly applaud you. When you have something that drives you like that, you are truly living

I think Montana is missing the point when people ask you guys to "stop talking", it's not because they want to watch the show again, it's because you guys miss important details all the time (at least in this series so far).
14:30 "...a hurt shoulder," you say? That doesn't sound like him at all. That sounds like he's going tobe looking to give an old lady a shoulder rub on the bus on the way home from work. What he seeks is to make a difference protecting people from curses, not making the fat cats fatter. He can see curses. He can end curses. The vast majority of people cwn only suffer curses. Like he said, both jobs suck. He just went with the one that he liked more. What he meant was the job that he could see the difference he was making. No masseuse job for him. 🤣 16:53 "fire blood?!?" How? Sorry, but it looks exactly like blood splurting fro. A huge major wound. Sorry, it just sounded so silly. 😂

Imma say it like this, don’t touch sukuna at all, physically or spiritually, soul included🦆🥩🔪 Ps. Me wise, talk all you want I like y’all’s commentary. Just make sure you keep your eyes and ears out for for details and explanations🦆

ive watched every show ive watched that u guys did a reaction to, u guys are so fun to watch i would literally vote for haikyuu to be watched if there's any way
People getting upset that you guys are talking during a "REACTION" Series is ridiculous, maybe watch on your own time if you dont want them to talk, they literally have moments where if they feel like saying something it will stop. I hate it when people comment that. Because the whole point is to see their reactions and their comments to what happens.

Yuji: This is for Junpei's attractive mum!
Yuji: This is for the humans you deformed!
Yuji: And this is for my homie Junpei!!!!
Welcome to Jump Kaisen.
15:19 I love Montana so much lmaoo
"why megumi?"
megumi - "With this treas-"
17:25 "why his nails long and short"
Because it's lesbian manicures 💅👁️👄👁️
You keep making maths and physics references which makes me wonder if you guys are physicists
God i hate mahito with every fiber of my being for what he did.
Hello, I'm sorry if you don't like comments like these but would you want to watch this anime series called 'Ajin Demi Human' its super good and one of my favourites, I love your reactions and I feel like you will like this series
Mixed him real good 😂
Megumi attracts interesting people 😭
I think Montana is missing the point when people ask you guys to "stop talking", it's not because they want to watch the show again, it's because you guys miss important details all the time (at least in this series so far).
is it me or the dialogue is a bit sped up on dub? when nanami said those lines in sub, he is quite emotional with it. here it is like reading a script
Are y’all going to do the movie between season 1-2?
You should've watched this in on dub, the Japanese voice actors are phenomenal
I love that your reacting to this, I think when you guys get a chance to start a new series you should consider tokyo ghoul
You guys should watch Dr stone
Have yall watched the Promised Neverland? I feel like you're the type of people that would love it.
Megumai is strong enough to defeat gojo sartuo if his power reach to it's peak
Can someone from their patreon ask them to react to mushoku tensei
14:30 "...a hurt shoulder," you say? That doesn't sound like him at all. That sounds like he's going tobe looking to give an old lady a shoulder rub on the bus on the way home from work. What he seeks is to make a difference protecting people from curses, not making the fat cats fatter. He can see curses. He can end curses. The vast majority of people cwn only suffer curses. Like he said, both jobs suck. He just went with the one that he liked more. What he meant was the job that he could see the difference he was making. No masseuse job for him. 🤣
16:53 "fire blood?!?" How? Sorry, but it looks exactly like blood splurting fro. A huge major wound. Sorry, it just sounded so silly. 😂
I love you two so much ;-;
yeah jjk is acid trip
(At 5:26) is THIS a meme?
Yes
YIPPPPPPIE I WAS WAITING you guys should definitely watch bleach naruto and one piece 🙏♥️
I summon this treasure
ugh the way you guys would love mob psycho based on how you're reacting to jjk
Please do a reaction to a silent voice 🙏
Omg yes
A commenter wanted you guys to stop talking? I question their understanding of what a reaction channel is, and their life choices. Granted, it can be annoying depending on the situation. But you guys do such a great job!
It's probably because they miss a lot of key details
One Punch Man OR Bluelock reaction please
Imma say it like this, don’t touch sukuna at all, physically or spiritually, soul included🦆🥩🔪
Ps. Me wise, talk all you want I like y’all’s commentary. Just make sure you keep your eyes and ears out for for details and explanations🦆
Please watch season 2 blu-ray
why not Japanese Dub because there the voice acting is very good .
Mahito JP Voice is Excellent...
jump
Yuji forced mahito to touch him 🤔
this is so unrelated but pls watch haikyuu its such a good sports anime!! and its a good addition if you want to just have a light and fun watch (well at least no one is dying)?
ive watched every show ive watched that u guys did a reaction to, u guys are so fun to watch i would literally vote for haikyuu to be watched if there's any way
We love when you talk during the show that the whole point of reaction❗️❗️ don’t listen to these idiots
Y'all will hate Mahito in season 2
