It took 17 years to finally change the animation for grabbing, and obtaining the belt/briefcase. I'm so glad for that.

they should really bring back the way they did ladder matches in svr 2007 because sometimes now with the hold and pull, you can win in like 1 or 2 tries. having the title/briefcase drain made it so much more fun to me

WWE 2K17 really made Ladder matches fun, but the victory cutscene with the briefcase is too short
Raw 2 probably had the best ladder match, with different sized ladders and more than one person being able to grab onto the title, only problem with me is actually getting the title down

2k really hasn't innovated the series that much they recycle a lot of features thq had in their older games
SONis2RAW23 You can only do so much. THQ did just about it all. 2K only has the ability to improve upon them. Other than adding the ability to have more people in a match we're only going to see the same features just redone some. For example when people ask to bring things back from previous games. It's all already been done.
El Gatò They shouldn't have taken those features out in the first place. It's always one step forward, two steps back with Yukes. The publisher may have changed (from THQ to 2K Sports), but the developer remains the same.
They need to bring back AKI.

Basically Ladder Mechanics are Smackdown 1 - SVR 06, SVR 07 - SVR10, SVR11- WWE2K16 (2K17 PS3), 2K17 (PS4). So all in all after like 16 years, only 4 different ways of winning. Lazy

My favorite was 2007 just bc me and my cousin he'd wait till I got it all the way down and knock me off then basically tip the analog sticks in the sweet spot and win but it was still extremely fun even though he was a massive dick about it

TBH the title/briefcase grabbing system from WWE 2K14-WWE 2K16 was super EASY and good! IDK why the heck did the have to change the system of it from WWE 2K17 onwards!

Good video but you should have shown all the stuff you could do in each version. Like run the ladder from outside the ring and land on a sanding ladder in the center of the ring and climb up to attack an opponent or reach for the belt

Ladder matches have always sucked in games, 9 times out of 10 you're on the mat overselling a snapmare and your opponent gets the ladder and belt all to himself in an anti-climactic finish.

Fucking hated ladder matches in SD 1&2! All you had to do was knock down the opponent, set up the ladder and leap for the belt. Took the imagination and enjoyment out of the match.
