We forget that many of these young ballet dancers are in their teens or early twenties, and it becomes apparent between pictures that they are kind of dorky, clomping around and being a little awkward . But this all disappears when they strike a pose. Then the serious professionalism and athletecism comes out and the mind and body memory takes over. Then they turn into ths ethereal creatures of strength and beauty that they really are.
Funny how beautiful/effortless/regal she comes out in her pics yet when she's just simply moving around being herself from pose to pose she's the complete opposite lol so dorky, awkward and clumsy looking almost sasquatchy if you know what I mean but in an adorable way😂😂❤❤. She's cute tho
It's also amazing to see how perfectly pointed they are and fingers in the perfect position in that moment. It happens so fast... then you look at the still! It is an almost super natural ability to control every muscle in there body. It's many years of practice. In a way, we all do it. The parent who juggles tasks and multiple kids at a time... the deck jockey who's fingers fly over the keyboard jumping from software to software, etc. It's amazing to watch people who have spend many years practicing something... and then working like butter.
My shutter speed is 1/200 when I shoot studio, I don’t use continuous shooting either. It’s just years of practice knowing when the peak of a moment is 🫡 been doing it for almost 12 years now
@@Evanysphotography I was going to point out that you don't use continuous shooting, just one perfect click with one perfectly executed pose. The other thing I love is how you direct people. You're really good at getting over exactly what you want and how to get it. Insane photography skills. I'm also losing watching you learn more and more ballet. I work on costumes and I do alot of fittings at the dance studio and I love hearing the pointe shoes on the floor while they are rehearsing and waiting for fittings.
She is very photogenic. Not only pretty, but her figure looks good in pictures, and her facial expression is somehow always perfect for the photo. I always look mad or super concentrated🤣
The expression really got me. Like I get that she's a pro and has probably practiced keeping her expressions elegant under pressure... But girl looked made it look like she *_wasn't_* about to come back down again in less than half a second
I've watched a few of these shorts, and this girl is very photogenic. The photographer is doing a phenomenal job capturing the shot at the precise moment.
I just love how ballerinas movements are so saggy and awkward looking when they aren’t performing. When they are it’s an absolutely beautiful transformation. Graceful and regal all in a moment. Just a beautiful art. You capture their grace very well.
So rigid like military, any opportunity to slouch is utilized. Pointe shoes are so awkward to stand in 😆 they are literally wooden boxes binding the feet. It's uncomfortable to do anything else in them but dance like you're floating on air as an angel on a cloud-fully commited. I guess the physics crosses into magestic 😊
