how do you suggest adding a total of 8 male guppies to an established planted 10 gallon neocaradina shrimp tank with a sponge filter? Would adding them all at the same time lead to a huge ammonia spike??
The only reason I don’t like guppies is bc they breed so much and so quickly. They are incredibly beautiful but I couldn’t keep them just for the simple fact that they breed explosively.
@@annataymond9529 I just won’t keep them at all due to other peoples tanks imploding with too many fish. I’ve never had any atp in my life because of that. Traumatizing 😂
Some fantastic colours there 👍👍👍
Cheers mate, I just wish I could keep the better looking ones alive!

If you can't do it gradually over 4-8 weeks I would add them then monitor water parameters and do any partial water changes as required.
@@GlassBoxDiaries if I can do it gradually, how many should I add each time? I worry about agression if there’s not enough of them. Thank you again :)
@@beaniebby_snail I would try three at a time and lightly feed them.
Guppies are the best ..just put my guppies in a new home a fluval roma 240 .... looks great
I saw it on the live stream on Friday mate, great looking tank :)
@@GlassBoxDiaries easy to say the TV is hardly on now lol so relaxing to watch
@@GupPi_3.14 Same mate, i'm not a big fan of TV anyway but I usually just sit watching my aquariums now :)
Definitely lol I have a bunch in my fish room
Cool. I'm also trying to breed some of them in my channellike blue cobra
Nice, I was thinking of trying to breed some guppies but I'm leaning more towards trying rice fish or more shrimp now.
@@GlassBoxDiaries nice choice bro
Sweet lol, I have some in my fish room

Yea its a pain, I only keep male guppies in my tanks to prevent it :)
You could just not keep males and females together if that’s the only problem
You could get only males
