They built a small town for the airmen with electricity and running water in about 5 hours. He looked over at his Sargent and said "I want to join the Air Force". His Sargent said "me too"....

My AIT was a joint base. My platoon decided to go on a run around the entire post. We here running and singing cadence, and we see Air Force sitting on their balcony, watching us while drinking coffee.
I was once that airman and we'd sit in front of our barracks drinking after a typical 8 hour day. Our grill would be cooking very high quality steaks from the mess hall. We'd see these jarheads march by and tell them to come by if they could. Sometimes they'd take us up on our offer and we'd treat them like honored guests.
