Asking a few locals where to eat are always a great idea. I did that asking about ribs in Memphis at 9 out of 10 people recommended the same place. Rendezvous legenday ribs.
This is such a fun video. And a great concept for exploring around your own area by throwing a dart at the map. Also just commenting on the video really helps with the algorithm during these slow winter months. Good times and good stuff.
Missed you, Mike 🤘🤘. I'm so glad you're back 🔥🔥🔥. That looks like a fantastic ride! You need to do this more often 😉. I'm surprised you didn't take Nina with you.

@@LifeOfBurch I'm pretty sure I've called you by your name before 😁. You're definitely not in trouble 🤣. Nina should absolutely steal your idea - it's been a while since she posted a video 😜. Not that I'm calling her out or anything 😉.
Very cool you were out this way. Im over in Harpers Ferry, WV and always in VA and Western Frederick County. MD. Hope you enjoyed our little neck of the world. Ride safe!
I live in Falling Waters WV right over the bridge from Hagerstown Md, and my wife works in Shepards town not too far from Hapers Ferry. We were actually planning a little day trip out there this Thursday or Friday. Any recommendations on a good spot for lunch?
I saw you posted that this video wasnt doing well but I really like this style of video from you. Just out riding and doing your thing. Keep em coming. 🤙

3:30 Oh shit! Finally! He's finally (hopefully) making the switch. I've heard less complaints about Insta360 overheating and battery life. GoPro just got complacent imo.
Yea I may switch the helmet cam to Insta360 too. We’ll see. The GoPro is great when it works right…it’s just a matter of wondering if/when it’ll actually work right 😅
There is a place called sideling hill in western maryland. It is really neat. Definitely worth the ride. There is also a place called "paw paw tunnel" that is out there as well that's really cool. Probably 1.5hrs from you.
Long ago I had a friend that put a small bag on his bicycle and at every intersection he rolled dice to determine which way to go. You could do a modern version with a random number generator on your phone.
Im out that way all the time checking my shopping centers in Frederick, Hagerstown and Mt. Airy. Lots of good roads, views, and far from Baltimore is always a plus.
That’s crazy you were in lovettsville, I grew up in loudoun county Virginia and just recently moved to the eastern panhandle of WV but I’m only 10 min from the VA border and the county I used to live in
Very nice ride, I do have a question, I am thinking of put on some different tires, oh by the way I have scl500, all the same mods as you. I am thinking a little more off road but not all the way. Know what is mean. What do you suggest
this is a very nice idea! 😁 I have the riding license since 2017 did not ride a lot, but want to get a harley. What do you think, harley or honda 1100?
There’s waayyy too many variables for me to be able to give you a good response. What kind of Harley? How old is the Harley? What kind of riding do you see yourself doing? What’s your budget? There are a lot of things to consider in your decision, but I’d start by just doing as much research on here as you can!
How does a guy or gal get to join on the annual rides you host? I seen Quasi’s video a year or so ago. I have a 2023 CB500x, love to stretch its legs. Over in Delaware here.
What a cool 1965 Chevy you passed on the hiway. Why did you take the Scambler rather than the 1100 for your trip? (The reason I ask is that I want to downsize to a lighter bike and both of those bikes are on my radar as "my only bike". I think the scrambler is cooler, but think the 1100 is more functional.)
Honestly I only took the scrambler because it hasn’t been on the channel in a while and I’ve been spending a lot of time on the Rebel lately. The Rebel definitely would’ve been the better choice for a ride like this with as much highway as I did. If I could only have 1 bike and had to pick between the Rebel and scrambler, the Rebel’s winning all day! The scrambler is a lot of fun and is an easier ride around town, but the Rebel is just so much more practical and powerful.
@@hvymax especially a "Puig Custom II Universal Windscreen". Albeit, I think he likes no windscreen and also might be waiting for a Memphis Shades Quick Release or whatever it's called to be made for the SCL500. Oh, and also... money. Birch, I have a question for you. I have a 2023 Rebel 1100 (manual). About 3k miles after the break-in period, I noticed that the oil was just over the bottom line. The manual says to let the bike run for 3-5 min, cool for 2-3 minutes, and check the oil with the bike upright. I called my dealer and asked them if they have had any reported oil consumption with that bike. They said no and told me that I need to check the oil while the bike is completely cold. How do you check your oil in your Rebel?
@@LifeOfBurch , for sure. We had an unprecedented 89 degree July, while the rest of the country was baking. And now it’s literally 95 degrees in October, which has to be a record.
