bass so strong he needs safety glasses
xD
This is gold
Lmfao
Handle with caution! Lol
Lol
Apart from his amazing bass skills his gay sense of fashion is so weird
Like I don't get it...
Crazy how I used to see random Instagram videos of that dude playing guitar, then Jared Dines accuses him of being fake and he turns out to be a fucking amazing guitar player and now I see him everywhere and especially in Ibanez ads. Good for him tho man, I’d kill to make a living doing what I love.
Jared Dines is trash.
jared is a lame-o. He embodies the toxicity of youtube… just like this comment. (mine).
So what do you do to make a living? Scrubbing garbage cans?
@@shitmandooddoes Jared make you want to pick up an instrument?
@@RamonesFan201 I didn't know who Jared was until I read these comments. Do you scrub garbage cans for a living?
Please never stop making these basses and guitars, they are astounding, the younger generation of musicians like this are so inspirational. thank you
Then all the boomers are all mad lol
@@Xiphos1349 "waaaah what do you mean they aren't playing 12 bar blues and pentuhtonic scale "
Wtf is astounding
David John Levy is just underrated!
Not by Ibanez. Obviously.
I think the initial "fake" shitstorm of Jared Dines payed back big time for Manuel. Awesome.
Mate this is not directed at you,but the musicians world in general, everyone needs to move on from the whole Jared Dines thing,Jared is an awesome musician in his own right & great guy all round,I think he like a lot of people, just found Manuel's playing alien, the whole percussive strumming thing is still very new & unknown to a lot musicians. But anyways,as I said not directed at you just the musicians community at large.
Ibanez is just becoming the S.H.I.E.L.D of the guitar world & assembling the string avengers to protect music.
Henson, Ichika, Manuel Gardner, they're getting all the young guitar heroes!
@@cornela1 those guys are literally reviving guitar to many people who wouldn’t normally pick it up. I’ve been trying to get my cousin to pick it up and after showing him Tim he’s obsessed with guitar
@@cornela1 and Yvette!...., Scott, and Clay
@@a3sir1100 hell yeah ! :)
@@TrentonF505 they really are some very inspiring guitar players. Imo they are responsible for bringing new and fresh energy into the guitar scene and showing us that it's always possible to improve and imagine new ways to play the guitar. They're pushing the boundaries of guitar playing.
Tosin should be in this conversation too ofc, strandberg also has some dope influential guitarists.
1:54 oh God, that just hits.
New instruments for a new generation!!!
As an old guy (55) I love and applaud that!
Imagine if, when I started out, all you could find was 50s gear... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's how it must feel for the next gen.
Keep music alive & keep surprising people! 🤘😎
Your age isn't stopping you from owning or using one...what's the matter with you? Holdsworth used headless guitars in the 80s for fuck's sake! Lenny Breau and Chet Atkins figured out harp harmonics in the 70s... There's no age you have to be to use these guitars. At all.
I applaud your approach to this kind sir
@@shitmandood Not saying that am I? I had a Steinberger headless decades ago. I'm just happy to see progress (instead of the Gibson and Fender approach which just get you more of the same old same old), and these instruments fit a new generation. And yes - us old farts can buy them too. And I probably will.
funny you say that, cause im playing stuff like this mainly on a 50s style strat :D
Manuel albums are so badass. Not just the playing but the brilliant composing and mixing ! You are my hero.
This is the sickest thing I’ve ever seen! Love unprocessed so much!!
I'm just blown away by these musicians. I don't know who they are, and I'm baffled that anyone ever accused them of being fake. It's just stupid how many people use their leverage on TH-cam for drama and controversy and negativity. How much easier would it be to just listen to this track and say "this sounds great"? That's what I'm doing.
Fernandes and Levy are phenomenal. You guys keep doing what you're doing.
Guitar experts found plenty of reasons, good and bad, to question the legitimacy of their instagram guitar shorts. If you aren't into the inta-musician scene you might be surprised to find it is a full blown phenomena to fake your musical skills on that platform. Manuel didn't respond to any of it just kept his head down and kept playing til he proved himself. That said, he did fake some things, and other people that are not as gullible tried to call that out. So it's not so simple
@@fullyawakened Which is weird, because I assume for convenience's sake he faked things that he could already do (?). Was thrilled to know he was reputable + in a band to back up his legitimacy and end up one of my favourite musicians, but at the time it was so weird to think about why he would do that.
D R I P M E T A L
I love how in the original shorter version Manuel just throws the pick on the floor at around 1:25 of the piece but now, just smoothly palms it to be used later
As a self professed metal musician, I can't deny the musical brilliance of bands like Unprocessed and Polyphia, they've pushed me to consider clean and percussive guitar in a completely different light. And that's the thing I'll always love about guitar, always new innovators and sounds to discover. I admit I'm not a headless instrument fan, but I deffo want to try both these axes out
I like my QX series guitar, but as far as higher end Ibanez goes, it's kinda mid
the false-known guifakist is truly a better guitarist than the critiquers.
More like the one trick pony everything he plays is just dead notes
@@00Dusty just like bassist are doing.. its percussive style of playing, and it sounds good then its music
@@askwho69 i agree with this
@@00Dusty You not hearing all those notes then? 😂 plus he has shown many techniques in his songs/videos. Alternate Picking, hybrid picking, use of harmonics & sweeping etc. Way more than "just dead notes" 👍
@@00Dusty you gonna cry?
The best duo in prog atm
Congrats to David John Levy! well deserved!
I love the faces they make while playing it really shows how much they love it
I'm a oldman discovering this awesome skills and sounds! So fresh! Awesome!
C'mon, at least give Dave some credit along with Manny in the description
Thought the same thing. Damn guitar players always stealing the spotlight.
@@maximiliangfrorer1039 it's funny, the first time i "saw" a live performance, and before i knew the lineup of the band, i thought david was the front guy even though he played bass. i think they share the spotlight equally, or in different ways.
"Hands don't glitch like that" is probably one of the best compliments a guitarist can receive 🔥🔥
Great musicians + Beautiful instruments + epic setting = PERFECTION
So after djent, the guitar fad now is chikachikashikishik X10 then tingdingtingtiiiing
Yeah, and it's super annoying.
@@smaller_cathedrals You don't like this kind of music, i probably don't like your kind of music. Let's shake hands and move on.
Thank Poliphia for this amalgamation of metal and funk styles.
@@semijuicer1105 What a baseless assumption.
How do you think I ended up here?
I've seen both Polyphia and Unprocessed live, for one.
You could call me a "fan", I guess.
Doesn't change the fact that this style of playing is a massive waste of talent and gear.
Of all the things that Manuel is capable, he decides to go for ... this.
And the sound? Honestly, you could play that same piece on an egg slicer and it'd sound the same.
@@smaller_cathedrals ok
Honestly how do you even practice to get this good? Like, what is the path of learning with all the different techniques? This is fucking incredible.
Please let me know if you find an answer. Ive also been wanting to know
First of all, I suppose you have to really know music theory so you can communicate with the instrument as easy as it can possibly get, and experiment with different techniques until you can come up with your own. So the key here is patience (Rome wasn't built in one day) and to not forget to have fun and enjoy the process =)
Relentless practice. You truly have live and breathe guitar daily for a pretty fair amount of time. The human mind will adapt and learn it. However, some people truly are just better and more gifted no matter the circumstance.
there's no easy path just work hard and love what u are doing
Stunning and brave
Everyone's praising Manuel, but can we give props to the bass guy who really g r o o v e. Also that pair of glasses tho.
are you high?
I think it is the same place, so u should be correct..
Yeah I think it could be
@@whatskraken3886 are you?
@@Juan2Steezy lol what
Man I keep coming back to this. I love manuel as much as everyone else but David is something else. Absolute machine, love that guy
This song gives me energy.
Ok , I’ll practice more.
Oh I am loving those headless 6 string things with all the angled fretted fun… float the trem and we can start talking about the buoyancy of my budget adjustments 👍🏽🤔
exactly what i’ve been saying since they started their headless stuff ADD A TREM FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
These headless guitars are badass! I needs one!
im not entirely sure but im pretty sure they cant add a trem because of the tuning keys.
@@stefanparsons8212 we have ways around that, they can seem fidgety and complex but it’s not as convoluted as it may appear.
It’s just gears
Glad that headless instruments are back.
They never left.
Good luck finding one. Damn pre-orders are backed up already.
This is the full version of Guitar 2.0 and its beautiful
I am a guitarist primarily. But DAMN those bass lines turned me on 🔥
Nissssssssssssssssssce 🍻
My fav brand finally has gone headless!
Ime my favorite artists almost all eventually do for some reason.
This beat is fire, so far in my life this the best music I ever heard
I personally love what the new gen of guitarist did with djent, cool to see something evolve.
This better get posted as a full song or I’m rioting
This was amazing! Brilliant!
This song sounds like ice cubes in a drink , in the coolest way possible 🧊🥹✨
Boy, this is gonna be on repeat for me indefinitely! Amazing would be an understatement!!
New Breed of guitar player just arrived by Ibanez Ship....
AMAZING from both and the bassist almost pulls off those glasses
This just sounds brilliant.
I watch this video everyday!
2 of my fav musicians in one video!
This is amazing! More! More! More! You compliment each other very well..
The right hand king strikes again
OMG! It was awesome!
Manuel's guitar face says it all... ❤️
Increíble 🤙🏻🔥
Those shades the bass player has on just look funny, but he absolutely killed it though.
He somehow pulls it off lol
Yeah, he had the chops to back up the attitude conveyed by those gigantic glasses.
He has those glasses bc they filmed dead rose music video before this
Feaking amazing groove and I didn't even knew the artists before. Will add them to my playlist moving forward - great marketing format Ibanez, giving artists a chance to present their stuff. Well done.
wow - mesmerizing performance !!! cheers from germany!
New Age of Guitar Heroes
These guys oozing with swag while shredding the strings of their weapons. More. More. More!
That was so God dang cool
The set of dead rose and guitars parts like tim’s from real 🤯 kill me please
This is so sick! Damn !!!!🔥🔥
This. So cool. I wish I have that guitar

I would love a tutorial for this and the effects too!

Awesomeness! =)
yooooo sick!
I believe Mr. Fernandes deserves a signature model of his own as well. 🤔
Music is in good hands now. 🙏
This is underrated.
So sick
I can't stop listening to this. Soooo good 🥵
This year is the year of the Headless
Just wow. Amazing playing. The axes are cool too.
Thanks! I'm about to guillotine my guitar to play like him.
I LOOOOOVE this music, very cool technique 🤘🏻
Manuel's hands are so fast the frames of the video doesnt even catch it. It just looks like still images on a couple of frames. Not even a blur. The camera just doesnt even pick up on it. Thats insane.
Dope
Pretty Cool~♥♥
Hell yeah
