    How often do you change the mop and do you use a different mop for each color of compound?cheers!

      I keep a seperate mop for each colour and clean them with a 'rake' (like a stiff wire brush) and keep using them till the wear out.

    Any reason you couldn't do this on an alloy bullbar?

    What is the purple polish?

    • @VintageRestorationsAustralia
      @VintageRestorationsAustralia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      it is actually a product called "Purple Polish" it is a fine cutting compound like car polish but specifically for alumimium.

    clear coat once polished?

    • @VintageRestorationsAustralia
      @VintageRestorationsAustralia  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No just a light hand polish once a year with the purple polish. The clear coats are very hard to remove when they start to break down.

      that's aluminum, not paint. only paint has a clear coat.

      Cassiel Ligthman Not true, early Airstreams have clear coat that develops a white worm-like “stain” over time.
