Everyone looking for a budget mic should see this. The first thing you will find when searching for one will definitely be both the Seiren Mini and the HyperX Solocast. I went from looking at the Seiren Mini to the Fifine K669B to the K678 after jumping around different video recommendations. I was skeptical at first since most of the videos seem like it's sponsored by Fifine but the Fifine definitely beats the Seiren Mini especially on the feature department. I'd personally take the inferior Cardioid pattern because it doesn't sound that worse. I can't say for sure about vibrations on the K678 when typing but it doesn't sound bad such as the HyperX Solocast which sounds like earthquake after watching different videos including yours. If there's one thing I'd give to the Seiren Mini, it's probably the built in shock mount they are advertising. I think the K678 can even rival the well known Blue Yeti with the way it's priced.
@@reddishshrimp4345 The quality is extremely good especially taking the price into account. Not an expert with audio but I think it's kinda lacking when it comes to noise cancellation, you'd definitely hear a loud fan in the background. You might be able to fix it by changing some settings. The mic also picks up vibrations when typing but this can easily be fixed by mounting it. Not that bad if you are just going WASD.
@@reddishshrimp4345 Misread your comment. Thought you were talking about the K678 which is the one I have. K699B definitely would have the same issues with the typing but you have the advantage of having a volume knob. Like I said with my original comment, the shock mount on the Seiren Mini sounds good based on multiple recordings I've listened too. If you are gonna mount it then I'd say go for the Fifine.
I like it when reviewer like you actually do a real world expectations. Where just right out of the box kind of setup with the original accessories provided. This deserves a praise. It's true where mics are hooked up onto the boom arm will sound alot better. But not for these mics as people will do require to spend 'more' if they want to optimize the recording quality.
I really appreciate this video! I dropped my snowball mic and have been scrambling to try and find mics that are good enough quality for streaming and in general that can fit in a college student budget lmao
reall enjoyed this video, ts insane how companies like razer can ride off the coattails of their past and their popularity as a brand name, however, i am glad people are moving away from buying things from x or y brand simply for their name, budget products have so much more to prove to the consumer as a brand with no name, they will do everything they can to create a quality product, unlike the laziness of a well established company.
Just bought myself the K678, thanks so much, I've been looking for a good mic for the last while and you, along with a few other videos, sold me on it!
@@ramli1111 had the same concerns, sounds good as hell even 2 feet away and without a shock mount it's good too, for me, 10db gain in the sound settings and -50db on discord cuts out anything you don't want. Turn off all echo cancelling and the noise cancelling and it sounds crisp.
@@nuzzelde the last i tried was on the seiren mini, my friend said there was a lot of noise when i turned off the echo cancelling and noise. Also hows the mute button? do your friends here the pop and click when you use the mute button? there was a video where a guy tested the mute button and there is a loud pop sound when he mutes and unmutes it. Still deciding between this and the hyperx solocast. watcha recommend?
@@ramli1111 I like this mic alot, the mute button isn't clicky and it's more of a soft button press so there isn't much of a loud click, more of a soft tap if you get me. Again setting the mic at -50db in the sound settings in discord cancel out all the background noises, mouse and keyboard clicking (for the most part), I do recommend getting a mic stand
When you did the cardioid vs super cardioid comparison, I could definitely hear your voice sounded quite a bit more rounded on the fifine, almost more tinny on the razer.
is that digital sound from the devices on the table or are the microphones always having it in the background? Use headphones to understand what i mean
Good cardiod test, you porbably already know this but when you turn it 1080 your voice bounces off the wall and screen which will refrain from making it quiter. I would suggest you do the test speaking into the open or the side of the room where there isnt a wall.

take a look at the Fifine A8
i got the seirin x from a buddy for free and your video made me realize ive been using it backwards for weeks so thanks for the help XD
oof
lol how

actually nice and smart of you to consider most of razer’s customers are people who really wouldn’t bother with boom arms. great vid

it's a sin for you to have so few views when you have this kind of high-quality videos, with fine (non-boring) explanations and details.

2y later STILL great review style 🔥🖤🔥 the simple clear communication!! Killed it my man 🤌

Great video dude! You can see the effort my guy put into this video. Short, Concise, Amazing.
First time coming to your channel, wasn’t expecting the amount of memes in the review
how is the "budget version" of the razer mic better than the original mic...
Sadly I just acquired the razer mini, k678 got a little more pricy, but I think I did a good choice.
Thanks for the vid!
5:48 I subbed at this point, you are such a great contect creator like damn
This was awesome - "over thurrr" lmfao - got me hooked at the intro telling us that "neither" were better.
The razer seiren x is now 60$ essentially at the same price as the k678. Which is better considering the same price?
This dude's editing memes, i love this guy

wth do you click and type frenetically? Other than that, great video!
It's 2021, why are they still using micro USB?
Came across your channel, the quality of the review and the vid are excellent. New sub!!!!

This video was so good. Thinking about getting the Seiren Mini
best review video I've seen recently! keep up with your great work!
but the fifine doesnt come in pink :(

that channel opening hiya hiya GYAAA
if at the same price point which is better razer seiren x or fifine k678 in terms of sound quality?

On my country Seiren X cost's 66€ and Mini 53€ which one still better to choose?

Seriously amazing review. Wtf? Subbed
Wich one do you préfèr ?
the razer seiren x has a discount and its at 75$ for me right now should i buy it instead of the mini?
Finally someone that covers table mount sound comparison. Great job!
I know you recommend the fine but that's $90cad and seiren x is 140 but on sale for 75. So I got that instead
Ffaaantastic review! Liked and I wish you more success and views!!
good appearance for siren mini...consider to buy for my collection
Are u rich?!
collection of...cheap microphones???
Nice review, cheers :-)
Is it just me or does the seiren make a buzzing noise
Would you recommend the razer seiren mini or the samson meteor mic?
Thanks.
I got the Seiren mini as it was on discount at Amazon. I just use it for Zoom calls
Thank you. Very informative.
are we just not gonna talk about that intro
Why does the seiren mini cost less but sound better lol
none of them are meant to be at 100 percent volume so it sounds worse
the sieren X sounds better anyways in my opinion

Ayyyyy
I was thinking about razer microphones, many thank.
This was a super good review man, just a suggestion tidy up your room a bit, your content is very professional so a nice set to match will go well
Thanks, I do think about that sometimes, but my room is also my warehouse. I'll get that clean set look down eventually.
Eeeeeeeeventually.
I like the normal untidiness look. Gives it a more relatable “human” aspect.
Ffine K678 VS Hyperx Solocast for the mic being 2 feet from me on the table? Mainly discord.
Love the among us referrence for the thumbnail 😂
seiren x is better i have mini but usb is broken and you can't replace it
Get attracted by the cute seiren mini! i wonder can it connect to handphone by using 3.5mm to usb or 3.5mm to micro usb adapter?
You might be able to with an adapter. Really depends on if your phone lets you too.
i got this video probably because i was looking for boom arms and he talks about proximity
a renewed x on amazon is 12 bucks more. Imma just go with that.
cost 20 or 30 dollars more, get blue yeti, whe it is on sale. much better
got the mini for 30bucks and it's very good for the money
Great video! 😀
thats why i sounded so low i thought the mic was just trash
The answer is probably neither? Perfect. That's when I stopped watching.
Bro this moc have sounda feedback
I like your video. I appreciate your effort to review from a more realistic perspective.
Very nice video!
I just bought the seiren x. What a waste of money, I coul've bought the snowball ice, razer seiren x sounds trash plus it's expensive.
Same I bought it today and it suck’s

I was going to buy one until I saw the micro-USB 😐
Like, WHY?
But is it razer tho?
Yes.
I just don’t trust razed anymore since my death adder broke, sad
