Thank you, Nick. Tremendously positive move by Nico; the notion that he somehow brings Spencer Dinwiddie back while retaining Kyrie Irving. This is a huge deal. Recall how he averaged 24 ppg the final 11 games of his Mavs stint last spring prior to the Kyrie trade. Dinwiddie not only dunked on/postered Gobert/Embiid/Chet/other bigs; he's comfortable posting up (recall down the stretch last year Mavs vs Lakers). Not only does Dinwiddie hit spot up catch & shoot threes--he has a refined transition pull up three pointer, step-back 3, side-step 3, fade away at the end of the shot clock 3. Not only can he facilitate--like you said; he steps in and thrives having the ball in his hands. GW three vs the Nets then GW three at Boston to ruin KG's retirement night (same night Brown had that nasty dunk on Maxi🤦♂️). Recall how he stepped up last year vs the Suns when Luka got injured early I'm the game. Dinwiddie put up 36 points on the road, then followed up with a 35 point game. He goes to Brooklyn and they ask him to facilitate/be an assist guy (9.1 assists per game) for Bridges and that brat Cam Thomas. He goes to a broken system in LAL and they want him to improve his defense; he not only gets the game-winning block on Lillard, he often blocked him and SGA. He excels at what the coaches ask of him. Just needs minutes and in all transparency, I think you have to trade Exum and Lawson away for minutes, probably get a big like Mo Bamba. Spencer Dinwiddie brings important swagger to this team that cannot be quantified. Fearless and very versatile. PLUS--he is already close friends with Kyrie Irving since their Brooklyn days, AND Luka Doncic is visibly (yall saw how Doncic grinned ear to ear clapping standing up as Dinwiddie postered Gobert and random/bold step back halfcourt 3 in utah in 2022 playoffs) and verbally a fan of his game. He said so again after Spencer took over Mavs vs Lakers in 2023 in LA. Dinwiddie also poured in 25 pts vs the Mavs last October in Dallas. Unbelievable pick up by Nico and Cuban. Super pumped. I hope they extend Dinwiddie beyond this next year.

Dinwiddie is a good addition but Exum should still be the first guard off the bench. Coach just needs to give Exum time to do his thing and not hook him off the court for not scoring a triple double within 2 minutes ...
@ericheffner112 Dinwiddie had down year, and Exum was shooting the lights out from 3. The competition for backup guards are very stiff, but if Dante performs the way he did last sesson like hitting 50% from 3 and get better at finishing at the rim there's a solid case that Exum will get the knot before Dinwiddie. First clearly Luka, Irving, Exum, Grimes & Hardy should get the mins to see how they perform, SD only takes mins away from Hardy & Exum IMO. The only thing i like about this guy is that he shoots 51% on corner 3s outside of that he shoots horribly, maybe he regains his form here though, we would be great if he does that.
Luka and Kyrie cannot have the usage that they had last year. Luka was just beat up and in pain all the way through the playoffs. Kyrie was also just worn out by the finals. The lesson from the finals was that Luka and Kyrie were not at anything near 100%. So, the Kidd and the coaching staffs need to approach the seasons based on playing 100 plus games per year. Luka and Kyrie minutes per game needs to be reduced under 35 minutes per game. So, Dinwiddie, Exem, and Hardy need to eat up more than 15 minutes per game in the second and third quarters. That way Luka and Kyrie can be much closer to 100% strength and energy in fourth quarters and for the playoffs. Hopefully the Mavericks should play faster than having Luka walking the ball up the court all the time. The way to increase the defensive ability of Mavericks is to split up Luka and Kyrie and get Naji, Quentin, and Spencer into the game often with just one of the Luka and Kyrie duo.
Mavs have gotten so much better that a #2 Dinwiddie 2 years ago could be #12 now. Dinwiddie is good addition considering the contract. Also makes Hardy + OMax available for a bigger defensive wing trade. Scoring is sorted.
@@Mr.Thomas_Anderson Journeyman Dinwiddie is already with Mavs on vet min contract. If Mavs miss DJJ too much or if Maxi is out for too long due to the injury they might want a big wing. In that case tradable players are Hardy and OMax. OMax could fill that void but he is not ready as of now.

@@Andrew-gs2ps damn my bad two years ago, left here in January 2023. He’s been on three different teams since he left which is why I got mixed up
@@Andrew-gs2ps maxi helped us a lot in that ‘22 too..z but fans want him gone. So I don’t get it. That is a long time in sports, and this mavs team is a new environment
Dinwiddie? Win, did he?
Not that it matters, but Robin Hood is not american, it is a british folklore hero based in an italian thief from the Renaissance era.
The goat is back
Don’t forget abt the hardy party he’s also under 6’3
He’s 6’4
Nah he’s legit 6’3 but he’s got a cannon.
The only thing i like about this guy is that he shoots 51% on corner 3s outside of that he shoots horribly, maybe he regains his form here though, we would be great if he does that.
Big enough to switch on defense
i apologize you feel like he should’ve podcasted more
Luka and Kyrie cannot have the usage that they had last year.
Did he just say jaden hardy is 6ft5?
Everytime
I check he’s 6’4.
hardy likes to play in platform shoes
Smoothie King is back! And Nick!
Mavs have gotten so much better that a #2 Dinwiddie 2 years ago could be #12 now.
Dinwiddie is good addition considering the contract. Also makes Hardy + OMax available for a bigger defensive wing trade. Scoring is sorted.
windiddie wasn’t number 2…
@@rmr9345lmao why would you trade two promising projects for a 31yo journeyman who called the mavs his mommy last season? This is illogical
@@hardywoodaway9912 After Luka the next best players on Mavs were Dinwiddie and Wood.
@@rmr9345maxi is cooked, so is Spencer. Develop players, keep the team young, stop adding regressing players that get waived by Toronto and cant perform in LA
Jaden Hardy is not 6'5. He's 6'3.
should just did a direct flight to the DR. pay the extra for piece of mind ive learned
Anything
Nick is alive?!
Imo we need to rid ourselves of Morris or Powell and grab bullock. Naji and klay gonna need some help. Spence solves a lot but klay is gonna need backup
Great show today. So glad to have Dinwiddie back! We are so deep now - especially compared to 2 years ago. Nico doing his magic. 🦝
