Excellent vid. I did the install but added an 11 oz flywheel weight and the up-graded Ricky Stator 70W Stator. The White map is XCW-like now but the Green map did not change.
I have the 11oz and I’m super happy. It eliminated all the low rpm stalls that plagued these bikes. Also makes the power much more manageable like you said.
Great video! Appreciate the conciseness, humor, and video framing. I would note somewhere in your description that the flywheel puller needs to be an m28. I stupidly followed the rmatv recommended size for a 2024 te300 and they sent me a M26. Also noted that they don't have a drop-down for 23 or 24 xc nor tx. So jokes on me I guess. I figured the flywheels would at least mount the same on the motor.
Seems like an Excellent mod for these bikes for the riding your doing here and woods harescramble type racing. light up the tire response is probably needed for those unexpected log hops in the middle of hill climbs and tight trails but other than free riding in the woods i have yet to come across that scenario in a actual race where it would make the difference of loosing a position and burning a ton of extra energy if you didn't make it first go. Think im going to buy one for my GG300EX.
I got it from True North Motos. He bought a bunch of OEM stators and got them rewound from Ricky. That way I didn't have any down time with my stator being sent off. Once I got the true North one I sent mine back to him for $100 off. Worked out to be a touch more $ then direct from Ricky, but I didn't have to wait.
Are you using a Rekluse? Wondering if the flywheel weight is needed with a rekluse? Also I am torn between a 11 and 9 oz. I do the same type of riding as you. Do you feel the 9 oz is spot on?
@@TechEnduro Do you think the 7 oz or 9 oz might be better for the type of riding you do? I basicly do the same type of riding and don't know if I should go with 7 oz or 9 oz.
I’m really happy with the 9 ounce. That makes the flywheel weight slightly less than an XCW. I have a riding buddy that has the 7 ounce and he’s also happy so I think you can’t go wrong. I personally would go for the 9 though.
I put a 9 oz on my 23 250 XC. Hated it and pulled it off immediately after the first ride. It killed the bike. No snap dead feeling. Tons of engine breaking, screaming at cruising speeds so you have to shift up then can’t pull the gear so back to down shifting and screaming. It ruined my ride. I’m curious what the 7 oz would do
ive noticed its the people hiking that can be not so friendly. i always slow down and stay as far away as i can but some have an attitude for some reason

fantastic review mate
Thanks for this! I’m obsessing over next years bike, and I want a mix of xc and XCW.
Woah. That was a lot easier than I thought. I expected there to be epoxy and all kinds of weird stuff. 😂👍
You and me both!
Thanks, that's a great install video and review.
30 min install. Thanks for the video.

Much better way to install than the TPI which had to be heated up and bashed on. I went for the 13oz on the 300
I’ve heard. Thankfully, I never had to experience that!
I heard this guy was recently caught riding Sherco and now is searching for that Blue Bike feeling! 😉
Don’t you dare share that picture again!!🤣

Great Video. I'll order mine today at work.
Thanks for the video, this will be my next project. Did you have your stator rewound by Ricky's or purchase a new one, if available? Thanks.

@@TechEnduro Thanks I'll see if they have any left.
Nice vid! How much is the Ricky stator rewind in the xc?
Works as advertised👍 70w is plenty for a fan on all the time and a light if you want.
@@TechEnduro how
Much money does it cost to have done?
Oh $ wise it’s $165
How did you get those graphics? I'd love a set of RB graphics!
Have a whole video about it. Check my channel 👍
Have you changed the stock gearing as well? Thanks
No, I like it the way it is.
Also what size fly wheel removal tool did you use?
Shoot, can’t remember.
@@TechEnduro Last question! Is stock a 7oz, and you installed the 9? The video is awesome!
Would the stock xcw flywheel fit on this I think it's heavier
No. Design is different because the stator is different too.

Not sure as I don’t run a rekluse. 9 does feel great though.

My bike is slalling more often after i install the weight on my flywheel and it starts harder than before...
Strange. Never heard of that before
4:00 min mark...Did you say 60 NM or 16?
60
anyone fitted to a 250 xc?? im thinking a 9 oz as well

Why are pedal bikers so angry?
🤣
Haha, i was wondering the same thing lol. They must not like 2-strokes. Make America 2-stroke again!
