I love thes DIY breaout/ think out of the box projects even though I don't have an apex and would prefer GHL Profilux for my future dream tank, not going into detail about the reasons. they show that their is so much more possible then the initial controlers were intented for if you get a little nifty and are willing/ able to build your own contraption 😁 keep the good ideas flowing 😜
Very cool Deven, been thinking about doing something similar, as well as an indicator light that tells me my RO unit is on, since I'm a dunce and forget I'm making water sometimes, LOL. Thanks for the apex programming too! Best, Peter
Happy to help Peter! I have leaned that lesson of forgetting the water on! Best to add a float valve and some auto shut offs or solenoids to cut water as well. :)
@@ReefDudes Yeah, for sure - I have the solendoids but have never installed them (too many projects!). The LED buttons and Cricut cut labels just put this over the top! : )
Nice work shipping. Excellent videos.
That looks awesome Dev! You’ve inspired me to learn how to solder🤙🏻
Thank you! It’s super easy and a very useful skill!

Thanks!!! Super happy how it worked out!
Very impressive Dev. 👏🏻
Thinks! It’s been super useful now that I have It!
@@ReefDudes I bet. I may, one day say screw it. Let this be my first diy.
Neat. Any specs on the type of button size etc

I have the buttons but mine have 5 pins no idea what the extra one is for
Led power or ground maybe?
Color of the leds , 2 are power 3 are color, RBG. Red blue green,
But I could be wrong
Pretty sick. Tho you keep referring to how easy this is, but I couldn’t do it 😂😂😜
Haha. Because I know soldering can intimidate some
Your control panel has a superb professional look. I'm curious about the size of these push buttons, is it 16 mm or 22 mm?
I will have to measure it for you later as I don’t recall. I’ll check tonight
Where did you get your buttons from?
Ali express
What 3d printer are you using?
That is cool!
Thanks! pretty happy with how it turned out!
Where did you buy the buttons and price?
Aliexpress 2.50 each ish
how cool
Also, what voltage
I went with 24v so i could run them off the eb832 accessory port.
3d printers are so dang handy. I've never thought to use hot glue before.
Fusion 360 is what i use for builds i do
Great program!
Get some more flow in that frag tank and less buttons .....the water looked stale on surface
I have 4 mp40s in there, plenty of flow :) possible they were turned down when filming
